Is there a cost for hosting a nonprofit's podcasts on Itunes?

I am looking to host my nonprofit's podcasts on Itunes.
What are the steps to do that and is there a cost associated with it?

Yes - as long as you have a valid RSS 2.0 feed to submit to iTunes.
Please make sure your site can handle the traffic - lots of people start out podcasting with files on their site - only to find out they went over their bandwidth limit for their site and get their whole site shut down.
Podcast files are large and with not that many subscribers you can quickly go over your bandwidth limit for a month with most web hosting companies.

    Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.
    System requirements are found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
    General support can be found here: http://www.apple.com/support/snowleopard/

    Are there any costs for an adobe reader software distribution license ?

    No (except for the costs of having your legal team check the license). You do need to read the license carefully, you are making specific commitments and there are specific restrictions.

    Not via Bluetooth. You can connect over Wi-Fi, but this needs to be configured when the device is connected with a cable.

  • Is there a charge for Artwork

    Seems to get artwork when I import songs from a CD I need to setup an iTune account and they're looking for credit card info.
    Is there a cost for artwork from iTunes for songs not puchased from them?

    There's no charge for downloading artwork from iTunes, however you do need an account because you are accessing the store to get the artwork.

  • There are values for cost element 80000 that are not assigned to any line I

    Hi,
    While calulating WIP I am getting below error:
    There are values for cost element 80000 that are not assigned to any line ID
    Message no. KJ161
    Diagnosis
    Not all values for the cost element are assigned to a line ID.
    Procedure
    Assign the cost element to a line ID. If you don't want to include the cost element in results analysis, assign it to a line ID of category N.
    You can access a detailed list of unassigned cost elements as follows: Start results analysis in the individual processing mode (transaction KKA1, KKA2, or KKA3). Select the field Full log. Execute the function. On the next screen, choose Logs -> Parameter List in the menu. A list is generated. The unassigned values are shown at the end of the list.
    If cost element "+++++++++" was shown in the message, this is because in the assignment of costs and revenues to line IDs, you have not used a cost element other than the full masking "+++++++++". In this case a presummarization eliminates the information on the cost element.
    Cost Element 80000 is of type 43 Internal activity allocation, I have Masked this in OKGB as below:
    Controlling Area = FLGP
    RA Version = 0
    Masked Cost Element = 000008++++
    Masked Cost Center = ++++++++++
    Masked Activity Type = +++++
    ReqToCap= COS (Secondary Cost)
    I have Configure OKGA also but still system is giving error.
    Please help me to understand.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    I was wondering if you could help me I am trying to configure the RA key for Refurb orders and when I go into txn OKGB for the Assignment of C/E for WIP there is sample config already there which I copied.  But I am having difficulty getting the KK1A to work I am getting the message as outlined above.  Could you explain how this OKGB works and how to configure it a bit more fully.  In my sample config there is a ReqTOCap section and in it there are letters like ABR, EK, FK, EL what do they mean.  This is a screen shot of it.  I am not sure how to go about this entirely so any light you could shed would be greatly appreciated.  Can you suggest a good resource or documentation you may have, would be greatly appreciated.

    Everyone here - please take a look at this thread ( the last two posts by WZZZ and Thomas Reed):
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/15205291#15205291
    It appears that a) Hotmail has 19 domains functioning as distributors for malware and b) someone is distributing pirated software. Although it does not appear to be related to the recent trojan, my suggestion: stay away from both.
    Edit: so why does everyone here appear to have pirated software (and doing it through it App Store)?????

  • Estimating costs for web site hosting

    HI
    I am looking to launch a new on-line business and im trying to calculate estimates costs to host on Azure.  Some high level details;
    Web site hosting (think AirBNB for example of functionality)
    500 suppliers managing heir offering (think private landlords submitting  property details)
    Will need load balancing for peak volumes - estimated 1,000 unique visitors per week
    Integration will be needed to Paypal/realex/similar
    DR required
    SQL DB with medium spec
    Standard support as/if required
    remote access for administration purposes
    Facility to deploy upgrades/releases as needed
    Any help on how to calculate ?  I'm a business person, not technical, so need a way to create indicative costs by providing indicative business spec !
    Thanks

  • How much would be the monthly cost to host a small Linux instance in Azure?

    Hello Guys,
    I just wanted to ask how much would be the monthly cost of hosting a Small instance of Linux VM in Azure.  I doubt this
    detail has all the pricing parameters included. It’s just the VM itself it seems.
    I know there is a pricing calculator but I’m not sure what parameters would be involved for this very basic instance. If you guys can give me an example calculation or at least point me to the basic parameters to include in the calculation, I will really appreciate
    it.
    FYI – these instances will be running a FreePBX system. I hope this helps to point out which parameters should be considered and included in the calculation.
    Thank you very much,
    Arnel

    Hi Noctis0791,
    Thanks for your feedback. As far as I know, Azure didn't support Provisioned IOPS. You could submit the feature request on custom wish (http://feedback.windowsazure.com/forums/217298-storage/suggestions/4900829-provisioned-iops
    And about billing question, I suggest you could contact azure billing support team to get more detail.
    Channel:
    Please contact support team by creating a support ticket at http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/support/contact/
    Or if that doesn't work because you don't have an active subscription you will need to contact general customer support to have them create a support ticket for you

    Please try it.
    Thanks

  • Newbie wondering how much you pay for hosting?

    Hi,
    I'm brand new to producing podcasts and I have a question about file sizes, hosting costs etc. My main reason for setting up a podcast is there aren't currently any others representing the music genre I'm interested in (a good reason to start one I keep hearing!)
    I won't be paying to use any of the music as I've contacted many potential bands who will happy to grant me permission to use their songs for free. My podcast also will not be designed to generate any great revenue. With that in mind I need to keep costs to a minimum.
    I've looked into hosting costs which will be my highest cost (hopefully my only cost, unless I've missed something?) and using to this filesize calculator:
    http://www.rvmsounds.com/calculator/
    and taking an average of 10 songs with the average 5mins song-length it says my podcast will be about 45Mb per monthly episode.
    I'm not sure how popular the podcast will be to begin with but, assuming I can get around 200 listeners per month (and using this bandwidth calculator: http://www.podtopia.net/bcalc.shtml), it says I will need about 9Gb per month in bandwidth... and that's without providing access to any archived episodes!
    Looking around at hosts they're quoting charges of around $1,500 a year for that kind of bandwidth...
    Looking at this forum there seem to be a lot of people podcasting so I'm wondering if:
    a) I've got my calculations massively wrong or
    b) everyone else is producing much shorter and more infrequent episodes or
    c) everyone else has very large trust-funds!
    Please tell me its option "a"!!
    Thanks in advance,
    Vincent.

    Well, the MobileMe basic subscription gets you 20GB of server space (which includes your mail space) and allows bandwidth of 200GB per month. The cost is $99 a year, and you can get more space and bandwidth by paying extra if you want. There are probably comparable deals elswhere: the price you quoted sounds well excessive - have a look round and make sure the quotes aren't for fully featured business hosting, which you certainly don't need.
