  • In CS4 I had bridge on the top tool bar, How do I get it there in CS6

In CS 4 I had bridge on the top tool bar, how do i get it there in CS6?

Not that I advocate keeping Bridge running all the time (heck, I don't use it at all), but one possibility that comes to mind is to set the configuration for it to start in the background when you log into your system.  Then it can be running and available on your Taskbar (or dock).

  • Is there a CS6 bug thread?

    Hi all,
Im having some issues with the Navigator window in Illustrator CS6 and wondered if there was a master bug thread to post problems people are having so that Adobe can see all the things that might need ironing out? I've done a search but can't see one.
    Cheers

No thread... report bugs by clicking the "Contact Adobe" link at the bottom of this or any page on their web site.

  • Is there a creative suite CS6 version compatible with a Mac OS X 10.5.8?

I downlaoded CS6 on my computer only to find out CS6 is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5.8, it says it must be 10.6.0, but I don't want to get a whole new computer, is there a CS6 version compatible with a Mac OS X 10.5.8?

It really will depend on which Adobe product or suite you are trying to install.  In general though most of our Creative Suite 6 products require 10.6.8.  Which Adobe product did you purchase?  Besides your operating system is there other system requirements which you also are not currently able to fulfill?

  • How do I stop DW CS6 randomly changing file permissions via FTP?

How do I stop Dreamweaver CS6 12.0.1.5842 randomly changing file permissions when it uploads files to my web server via FTP.
I can no longer trust Dreamweaver to upload websites correctly as it changes permissions on some files which then deny the server access to the file which in turn makes the webpage unreachable/return a 403 error.
    This is driving me insane.
I'm using an early 2011 Macbook Pro 10.7.5.

    Hi,
I'm having this problem too. Has Adobe fixed the issue yet? This appears to be an Adobe problem, not all the web hosts out there. CS6 is ramdomly (meaning: not every time) changing permissions on files uploaded with it and is not usable for web work until this problem is fixed by Adobe or a solution is provided. If I wanted to use a separate FTP program I would not have recommended that my employer buy multiple Adobe CS6 product licenses. One of the primary appeals of DW is the integration of FTP into the workflow.
I am using a destop iMac2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 gigs of 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
    OSX 10.7.5
I am using DW Version 12 Build: 5808
Dreamweaver CS4 that I was using until this new purchase was working just fine. No file permisssion changes. I am being forced to go back to using it until Adobe posts a fix for this.
I should ask while I'm here: has anyone found a solution for this yet?
    Thanks,

  • Best Way to Install CS6 Design/Web Premium Upgrade

    Hi,
CS6 Design/Web Premium Windows Upgrade (for CS5.5 Design Premium) is shipped and on its way for 5/10/12 delivery. Reading on these boards about CS6 installation problems (plus the installation difficulties for CS5 upgrade from CS4), prompt me to ask:
What is the best way to install the CS6 upgrade?
Is there a CS6 clean tool available?
I would ordinarily first deactivate and uninstall CS5.5 Design Premium.
Is this the best way to proceed?
    Regards,

If you do not want to keep a CS5.5 concurrent installation , this is the best way in my opinion.
The CS5.5 uninstallers do not remove everything of CS5.5 however. There will be e.g. left overs in the Help titles of the CS6 Help Manager. There is a cleaner tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

  • The color replacement tool  does not exist in photoshop cs6

    Hi guys!
I have a huge problem with my new photos hope cs6, it doesn`t have a Color replacement tool button, I mean this
    Icon
In addition I searched category under brush tools but it doesn`t exist
Just I have color replacement in
    Image > Adjustment> Replace color
Is it the same with that tool

    Hi,
the color-replacement tool is still there in CS6, "under" the brush-tool in the toolbar of photoshop-CS6.
Reveal it by alt-click on the brush...
did I understand your question right?
If you want a tool-preset of the color-replacement like the other tool-presets in your screenshot,
you choose the tool first and then you can make a new preset for your special color-replacement-tool,
including size of your point etc...

  • Site Definitions CS4 v. CS6

I just switched to DW CS6 from CS4. When I defined a Site in CS4, it created an actual folder with my site name that I could see on my hard drive, and my various website files would be in there. CS6 isn't doing that-- although it shows a folder icon that is visible inside of Dreamweaver. I look for it outside of Dreamweaver, and it's not there. This spooks me a little bit. Is this how it works now, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Hey Nancy-- After I responded to your post last night, I started thinking more about your response-- did I export the site definitions? Ah. The short answer is no, I just copied the files when I got my new computer, and reinstalled DW CS4. I still have access to my old computer tho, and my plan is to export the site defs  and put them on the new one, where I guess I will then have to them "import" them back.
Switching to  CS6 caused a bit of misdirection. (As Murray suggested, the DW version  was not the issue.) But the light finally went on!  Thanx!

  • Unable to install Photoshop CS6 Extended

I used the Adobe Support Advisor to check why and it said it had no errors.
    It is the Education Edition.
I have windows 8. recently bought PC.
    Why does it not install?

    Hi there,
Photoshop CS6 Extended is compatible on Windows 8 64-bit. The error which you have mentioned Ïnstaller Failed to Initialize"occurs when the Application manager is not updated. Hence please install the latest version of Adobe Application manager from the below link and try to install the product:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
Revert back if the issue still persists.

  • Where is the CS6 cleaner tool?

I've found a cleaner tool at Adobe's website but it's for CS5.5 or earlier versions. I need to fix problems with Photoshop CS6 Beta installation. Is there any CS6 cleaner tool ?
Also, the cleaner tool will remove only selected items, or everything from Adobe I have installed ?

  • Problems with CS6 after cloud Download

Just joined the Adobe Cloud and downloaded CS6. I am using a MacBook Pro, new 15" retina display, 16 GB Ram, 2.6 Ghz processor.
Download and install seemed to work fine but when I start the program I get the following alerts:
Afterwards CS6 seems to load normally but I cannot open any image files. I have no idea what the 3 error messages mean and I bought the new MacBook Pro specifically to add more space and speed to my workflow using Photoshop and Lightroom. Any thoughts on a fix or workaroud would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    kenyon

Morning Noel and thanks for your comments. I see that we are both night owls:-)))
I agree with you...that would not be a good thing..LOL. My quandry was simply that since I did not "move" any plug-ins into the re-install of CS6 from the Cloud but simply installed and clicked on "launch"....how did the plug-ins get there? After piecing together what you and Chis told me I think I figured it out. Since, when you uninstall CS6 the original file where the program had been (Adobe Photoshop CS6) and the plug-in file inside remain intact, re-installing CS6 again (this time directly from the "cloud") installs into that same CS6 folder. Since the folder already contains a plug-in folder from the last install, it must then "initialize" (thanks Chris...I had the semantics wrong) the plug-ins that it finds already there. So, in a way I have moved or installed them at one time, just not for the latest install of the same version from the Cloud or wherever.
I keep all my original plug-in installer modules in a separate folder if I need to reinstall as well as all the license keys which always saves a headache down the road.
I was pulling my hair out...and trust me...I don't have enough left to do that..LOL...until piecing tidbits of information from you both. The inference that I had physically moved plug-ins from one folder to another is what had me stumped and a little confused since I know that I did not do that. The time lapse between the finished install alert from the Cloud intall and the time that elapsed until I pushed the "launch" button was only a few nanoseonds so not enough time to copy anything anywhere. If the plug-in folder was already there and CS6 installed to the same folder called CS6 then it all makes sense.
Thank you again for helping me to figure this all out. In the future, if I want to do a true "clean" install of the same version I will simply delete the original folder and its plug-in folder since its best to do a re-install of the plug-ins from the original plug-in modules anyway, which I keep tucked away on an external hard drive.
Thanks again....Loving the latest version of CS6 and its added goodies!!!!
    Kind Regards,
    Kenyon
ps...my apologies if I seemed a little curt with my first reply...it was the inference that I had physically moved something from one place to another and the tihird party reference that stuck me as inappropriate. Since I had not "moved" anything anywhere and at that time had no idea why I was getting the error messages since I had simply installed and launched, the immediate assumption that I must have moved something, etc. left me a little shocked. I am not tech savy like you and Chris but I assure you that if I had "moved" a file, I would have assumed the problem was there from the get go and would not have posted the question. :-)

  • CS6 problems

Hi there, my CS6 has a lot of very annoying problems and I need to know what has been done to sort it out.  Mostly they are intermittent which adds to the aggravation.  When cropping the whole screen goes grey and the image disappears.  The only solution is to save the work at the point that you're at, shut down both Bridge and CS6, reopen and sometimes that works.  Sometimes I have to restart the entire PC! The same applies when using the gradient tool...  I have used PS since PS2 and have never had anything quite as bad as this happen previously - please tell me what has been done to correct these niggles?

    Good day!
When cropping the whole screen goes grey and the image disappears.
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels and the Options Bar visible?
Could you have set small pixel values for the Crop Tool?
    What is the magnification?
    Regards,
    Pfaffenbichler
