Is there a "date added to itunes" type column? (and more)

OK so here's my dilema. I have a bunch of duplicate and bad songs mixed into my expansive music library. I keep a backup of my entire music library on an external HDD. Last time I transfered my library to a new laptop it took about 3 days to go through all of the songs in iTunes so I had a clean library (I HATE not having a clean library!). What I would like to be able to do is make the genre of all of my bad/duplicate songs something like "do not use" so when I have to transfer my library again, I can just sort by genre and delete all of the junk in one shot rather than having to go through everything again. I thought maybe I could import the junk back into iTunes and the "date added" column would be today so I would know which songs to rename. However, the "date added" column is still the date from last year when I actually added the library to the computer so it does me no good. Is there any way to add all of my junk into iTunes and sort so I know which songs to rename? Thanks!!

On your iTunes app on your desktop or macbook, If you go to iTunes>my apps> right click on the app and get info,hit file and it will tell you the last time it was updated. It says dated purchased, but it's the last time you updated it.
Hope it has the info your looking for. What version of iTunes are you using on your oSX device, (desktop or laptop)?

HT201263 while on vacation in france i downloaded the new iOS for my iPhone 4. Was asked to choose a location. By mistake i click on local location, hence France. Since then my iTunes, app. store and more are located to France. Can no longer access up-dat

HELP! while in France i downloaded the new iPhone iOS 6. When asked to choose a location ( for maps to know what to do) i made the wrong choice and clicked on local, hence France. This scewed up my US iTunes account as well as apps store. . . so ican no longer acces it or download updates. . . it crerated more havoc that ican bare as in iTunes being located in France and in Euros. OUCH. i thought to restore iPhone to factory default. Will that do it or create more problem. (don't want to wtach US movies in French!!!)
My question reall is how can i swithed back my location to USA. . .

If you go to iTunes on your computer click on the App Store and scroll all the way down . In the bottom right of the screen is a map logo. Click on that and then chose the flag for the country you want

Is there a difference in HomeHub V2 Type A and Typ...

So, with recent problems with my BroadBand connection, the good guys at BT thankfully sent out a new Power Supply, as it was making some odd noises and could have been causing the interference on the line. But, the new power supply had stickers informing me that it's only to be used with the HomeHub V2 Type A. My current HH is Type B. Thankfully, the box also contained another HomeHub which was Type A (this is my 3rd HH in 4 years!).
Anyway, joking aside. I set up the new Type A router and it's connected at a far higher downstream than the Type B. Also, the noise margin is much lower which (fingers crossed) means I'll have a more stable connection. Also, the strange noise from the power supply isn't happening with this version.
So, is there any fundamental differences between Type A and Type B? I have had intermittent problems with the HH V2 Type B router even since I got it, could they still exist in the Type A router?
The bit at the bottom reads "Software version 8.1.H.J (Type A)"

Well... The Type A hub has been known to have a few issues compared to the Type B hub. Although I had the Type A hub before I started using a DG834GT, I never had a problem with it. To add to this, they are made by different manufacturers:
Type A: Thomson
Type B: Gigaset
That is why the power supply states that you can't use a Type A power supply with a Type B hub or the other way round.

Can't buy music with iTunes... and more

Dear Apple-people: Don't you test your software before you release it?
1) With the new iTunes 6.0.0.18 I can no longer buy music from the iTunes Music Store!
When I add a song to my shopping cart, I get an error message saying that "An error occured...".
However, the song or album actually gets into my shopping cart!
When I try to buy what's in the shopping cart, I get another "An error occured...", an iTunes won't let me buy/download the music.
2) After the release of iTunes 5.x I complained about not being able to transfer more than two songs from my library to my iPod Shuffle 1Gb at a time.
Apple.com never gave me any solution other than: "Try and restore your iPod".
Yes... that was the first thing I tried before posting my complaints here.
Now, after I installed iTunes-6.0.0.18, things are no better. When I try to transfer more than a few songs to my iPod, iTunes quickly disconnects and shortly after reconnects my iPod, and the transfer is cancelled.
However, if I transfer only one or two songs at a time, I can actually manage to put songs on my iPod, but I'm telling you... it's not acceptable.
iTunes version 4.x worked without problems.
What have you done in order to make the new iTunes so unstable?
It seems that every new release has new bugs in it.
Sorry about the brusk tone, but I am highly disappointed!
Don't you test your software?
Has Apple been bought by Microsoft?
What is going on?
And just for reference: no, there is nothing wrong with my USB. I have a digital camera, a memory stick, a scanner, a printer and an external hard drive, all connecting via usb, and all work fine.

Why MSAccess database shows data but does not show columns and DDL in edit mode in jdeveloper?

My developer ver is 12.1.3.0.0.
I create a connection to MS Access database, this database shows data as bellow in jdeveloper databases window
But when I open any table in Edit mode like bellow it does not show any columns and DDL and give an error like bellow
Similarly when I try to create view objects on these tables then on data controls the view object also doesn't show any columns like bellow
What could be the reason any help on this issue
Should I use MS Access or not but I want to use ms access for very small databases.

If you look into the certification matrix at Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12c (12.1.3) Supported Systems
You'll see that ms access is not supported.
You can use oracle xe which is free for your project.

Where do photos go when shared to iTunes on iPhone on Windows? iTunes under Apps shows somethings been shared based on the size, but there is nothing in the iTunes photo section, and it says 0 photos???

I'm new to iPhoto, and I'm trying to figure out where sharing a photo to iTunes goes on the iPhone4 and/or Windows 8?
The Windows iTunes App section indicates something was shared and has an appropriate date and size, but the photo part says 0 photos, which makes it a little hard to delete.

Sharing to iTunes means the item is stored in the Individual app's file sharing area.
When your iPad is connected to your computer and selected look for the Apps tab. Select that then scroll down. First there will be a list of all your apps. Scroll down below that to find a list of your apps that support file sharing. Select iPhoto and you'll find the files you have shared to iTunes. Copy or drag them to your computer and move them where you want them.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

Is there any way to download iTunes LP files to more than one computer?

From what I can tell, iTunes LP files are like the old way of doing things before iTunes in the cloud: one download and you are done. Can anyone conform or deny this?
If only one download is allowed, is it easy to simply transfer the files from one computer to another?

As applenerd504 states, iTunes cannot be downloaded onto a Niokia phone, since it is a computer programme, designed to work on either a Mac or a Windows PC.
However, if you mean songs purchased from the iTunes Store (songs), then you need to consult the documentation for your Nokia. Songs purchased from the iTunes Store are in .m4a format (also known as AAC). If your Nokia cannot play .m4a files, then you will need to use iTunes (the programme) to create an MP3 version.

Need help adding numbers to PDF drawing and more

I'm not an Adobe superuser so hopefully this isn't a stupid question. I receive drawings in PDF from my clients. The drawings look like Autocad and are pictures of parts with dimensions that I build for them. I number all the dimensions on the PDF drawing from 1 to whatever. I then create a spreadsheet with the numbers and the corresponding dimension plus other info. Currently I print the PDF then with a pen I manually number each dimension. Then I manually enter the dimension and special symbols in my spreadsheet. Ideally I'm trying to find a way to just click and have it enter a 1 then click and have it enter a 2 etc. If that's not possible then what's the easiest way to just click and allow me to type 1 then click and I type 2 etc.

I think what you actually need is a dynamic stamp. Try searching these forums and also acrobatusers.com . There's a lot of information about it.

Is there are BUGs? (Grid with single column and dynamical alert's thresholds)


1. When i'm using a grid with a single column of data the high of ALL grid's cells is determinated by the smallest element. That's why if there is an empty cell in data column EVERY grid cell will be shown in Flash with the minimal high. Only workaround i could find was not to have any empty cell in my grids. Screenshots are attached. (By the way the workplace view of grid and results in flash file are extremely different by high). For my it looks like a BUG. :o)

2. It is possible to make a reference to cell range if you want to define alerts thresholds. But if you dynamicaly change the values in this range - this changes have no efect on relevant alert indication. Was it supposed not to implement any possibility to change alerts thresholds dynamicaly? Do you now any workaround to use different alerts treshold values with single element?

Last time I tried doing it in earlier versions It gave me some ambiguous error message:
"Error parsing feed: Invalid XML: Error on line 1: Content is not allowed in prolog."
How do I fix this? I already ran feedvalidator. I still don't know what to do.

OK I found the Submit Podcast Button... now moved to the middle of the screen

I lost my "date added" info.

(I am on Vista, using iTunes 7.6, with my library on an external USB drive (H:/Music))
For some reason, the defalut iTunes Music folder suddenly was reset to C:/something – probably my H: was a little late in booting? Consequently, when trying to play music, the songs “couldn’t be found”. I was asked if I wanted to locate them, and I did. They were where they were supposed to, at H:. I changed the default folder back to H:/Music, and assumed that iTunes would check there when I tried to open a song, but no. It looks like I manually must specify the file locataion for all my songs (~4000), which of course is undoable.
So, I thought I should use the “empty the itl-file and global search/replace the xml-file” trick.
It worked fine, but the “date added” field was reset.
And I want to keep it (I’m using it for nerdy statistics.) The order is not enough, I want the time stamp. Have anyone found a solution to this? Please!!!! I would be very grateful.
(What confuses me, is that I though the “date added” was preserved as well, when i did this trick the other times. Could it be that it worked for earlier versions of iTunes? Or have I forgot something?)

I am afraid resetting the date added is a characteristic of recreating the library from the xml file.
Itunes resets the location on the iTunes Music folder to the default location if the external drive is unavailable. If you had reset the location of the iTunes Music folder back to the correct location when you saw the "Could not be found" messages, you had a chance of getting the information back.
Do you have a back up copy of iTunes Library.itl from before this porblem occured? That's your only chance of getting things back.
I have assumed you kept your iTunes Library files in the iTunes folder on your c: drive, rather than the external drive.
