Is there a difference between the trail version of Photoshop Elements 11 and the purchased version
I downloaded the trial version & now have purchased the product from an outside source & wondered whether I should delete the trial version & load the purchased version or whether the trial version is the same as the purchased version. Thanks for your help...
Trial version is the same as the purchased version. No need to uninstall the Trial, you can simply serialize it and use it.

If you are working in PSE13, please update it to latest PSE13.1 update available and see if it helps.
To apply update, you can go to Help > Updates and there you can see PSE13.1 update.

I installed a new printer and now Photoshop Elements tells me I can't print. I have PSE13 on my system, Windows 8.1, 64-bit. It was functioning properly after installation and now I get these messages when I go to print: "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You need to check your printer settings before printing." and then this statement: "Default printer could not be opened." I have reloaded drivers for both printers and made any upgrades possible. It was working fine before and now all of a sudden, nothing. Would prefer to have old PSE v.12 back, it worked with no problems.

Having installed the recent upgrade to Photoshop Elements 13 the shadows/highlights sliders no longer work. How do I resolve this problem?
Sometimes when problems pop up for no apparent reason it could be that the preferences files had become corrupted. Here are two ways to reset the preferences.
1. The reset process might be built into your PSE version, as shown in this video:

2. If your version does not have the reset option, press and hold Alt-Ctrl-Shift (Option-Command-Shift on Mac) immediately while starting PSE. The timing is critical; you may have to try this several times. A dialog box will pop asking if you want to delete the settings file? Click YES.

Hi. My photoshop elements 12 has suddenly stopped working. When i tried opening it yesterday absolutely nothing happened. After a reinstallation I got to choose between opening picture browser or photoshop elements and when trying to open elements nothing happens. Now I have reinstalled windows but still with the same result. I was using the program for several months without problem until yesterday when it suddenly stopped working. Any suggestions on what to do?

I'm about go enroll in a class specialized for teaching Adobe Illustrator in order to be able to use the program at work. The company that I work at uses Macintosh computers to deal with clerical work and everything, so I would like to know if there are any differences between using Adobe Ilustrator on a MAC and on a PC. The school that offers training teaches two types of classes, where one uses Illustrator on a MAC, and the other one on a PC. The PC class is able to have an earlier start date, which is why I'm sort of leaning towards choosing that class as I need to be able to use the software as soon as possible, but if there are main differences between the interface that will affect my knowledge of using Illustrator on a MAC after I take the class with Windows systems, then I will most likely be waiting for the class teaching in MAC systems.

Oh and another suggestion- should I take the Illustrator class in CS6 or CS5?Reading through the CS5 vs CS6 performance thread, the Mac version seems to have worse performance than Windows version. From a starter's perspective the differences would most likely never be realized. It will take some time to see differences between even CS5 and CS6 other than the visual aspect of course.
Definitely take the CS6 versionso you can say you have it. CS5 is my preferred version, CS6 is garbage with the bugs it has for the type of work I use it for. -

--Whenever you need to take the joins with the physical layer tables along with the logical table that is hit, we add the physical tables that is joined in the physical layer and make inner or other joins accordingly. Default the tick will be there, but when you are overriding the physical layer joins of the tables in the content tab 'where clause' then you need to remove the tick and allow it to take the joins/conditions specified in the 'where clause'.
2.We can also mention the type of join between the 2 logical tables while defining a join between 2 logical tables. when this should be used.
--These joins tells the OBI server to make the optimum joins while requesting for the request and tells about the cardinalities to join.

Difference between tax amount shown on VAT report and the invoice

We observe that there is a difference of rounding off between the tax amount shown in the invoice and the one shown in the VAT report.
We have to manually adjust this tax amount since the Tax authorities do not accept any difference in the VAT report and the Invoice.
Please advise as what could be done to solve this issue.

There are 2 things: Pricing Procedure and Tax Procedure.
Pricing Procedure tell system about the what and how the price to calculated for material in PO. In this pricing procedure the conditions NAVS / NAVM as pertainin to tax applicable on the PO price. These conditon display the tax. The tax is calculated based on tax procedure. Tax procedure acts as a master and there is one tax procedure for one country. For this tax procedure there are tax codes defined. Tax codes means using the same tax procedure but changing value of various conditions and omiting some if required.
Eg. TAXINN is tax procedure for India. Based in this procedure many tax codes are defined for 12% vat, 6% vat , no vat etc.
So what kind of tax will be applicable on the PO is governed by tax code which is mentioned in Invoice tab (tax code) its a 2 character code.
Based on this tax code taxes are calculated on PO net value and then the tax amount is displayed in pricing procedure by conditions NAVS / NAVM.
MWST is condition for Input tax. If you are using tax code then MWST is not to be used.
Tax code becomes useful while doing MIRO as there is an option of inserting tax code. So the tax on PO net value will be calculated automatically.

Logic Pro X performance difference between iMac i7 3.5ghz (non-Retina) and the i7 4.0 ghz (Retina)?
Hello - on the verge of getting an iMac - it's for Logic Pro and some video editing with Premiere Pro (don't *really* need the Retina screen though) - i'd just like to get an idea of the performance difference (especially in Logic Pro X) between the quad i7 3.5ghz (non-retina) and the quad i7 4.0ghz (retina)?
I use loads of plugin instruments (incl. big Kontakt libraries) and effects with just a few audio tracks (only ever record max a couple of audio tracks at a time)
Thanks!I owned the imac and then returned it for the 2.6 MacBook Pro. After using both there is a noticeable speed difference between the 2. Not a huge difference but there is certainly more lag using the MacBook Pro. I found that lots of the lag went away when I attached to an external display though. At the end of the day I think you just need to decide if you need the portability or not. At first I thought I would keep the imac and then get a cheap MacBook Pro to use on the road but the thought of having multiple Lightroom catalogs sounds very annoying to me. Plus all the transferring back and forth. I will say also that I've been getting a lot of freezes in Photoshop on my mbp and weird errors like the sleep wake failure error some people are talking about when connected to a USB device. I didn't have any of these problems with the imac

The Basics on Integrating Photoshop Elements and iPhoto
I've been using iPhoto and PSE 4 for several months, and love what I can do with my pictures, but I haven't mastered exactly how to integrate the two. I'd really like to continue using iPhoto to organize my pictures, but I'm just not sure I "get" how to deal with pictures I've worked on in PSE and then want to bring back (with changes) into iPhoto. I guess I'm asking for ideas on a simple, effective workflow for a hobby user with a fair number of pictures to manage. It would be helpful to me to understand some of the "behind the scenes" stuff...why things should be done a certain way; this makes it easier to really "get" what's happening, and not have to keep re-reading what to do. When you import RAW files into iPhoto, the RAW is tucked safely away in your Originals folder, and iPhoto immediately places a jpeg version into the Modified folder. So if you open what you think is a RAW for editing, you are really just getting a JPEG. iPhoto can't edit RAW files at all. So, if you are importing a RAW and a jpeg version of every shot, then you are in fact doubling your library.
I agree that it is easiest to set up Elements as your external editor in iPhoto. I do this (and only use jpegs, too). Select photos in iPhoto, double-click to open in Elements, edit, save. This save creates a modified version in iPhoto and is reflected in the iPhoto library immediately. However, if the file name or extension changes and requires a Save As, this will not link to the original in iPhoto. So do any Save As-ing to a folder outside of the iPhoto library, then import to iPhoto as a new original. In iPhoto I have a keyword to identify photos that I've edited in Elements. It used to bother me that I spent all that time editing a photo, only to have it get mixed in with all the others. With my "edited in PE 4" keyword I can find all my best edits quickly. This is my workflow for editing jpeg files.
My suggestion for your workflow with RAW files is to use Image Capture to upload from the camera to a folder - anywhere NOT inside the iPhoto library folder. Elements has a great RAW editing workspace, so with your RAW files in a non-library folder you could access them directly from Elements if you like to tweak your RAW files.
Then you have a choice. You could import the edited RAW files into iPhoto. Any subsequent editing would be done on the jpeg created in the Modified folder. You would not need to import your camera-created jpegs at all. (Unless you want to compare how your photo looked before and after you tweaked the RAW in Elements.) (Perhaps you had already imported the jpegs so you could view in iPhoto before you finished editing the RAW versions.) OR, leave the RAW files outside of iPhoto and only import the jpegs. But then, tweaking the RAW files wouldn't be that helpful, since you wouldn't see the outcome in iPhoto. Not a good choice, I guess. The bottom line is that if you want to edit your RAW files as RAW files, you should do so before importing into iPhoto.
iPhoto automatically adds a RAW keyword to RAW files, so they're easy to find. An organizational suggestion is to create separate film rolls in iPhoto for RAW and jpeg. So if you import some photos today you could name one roll 20070123...RAW and the other 20070123...jpg. There may be a good reason to keep the jpeg versions independently from the RAWs, but I can't think of one specifically. Is it easier to print from jpeg? Does it make exporting faster, since you don't have to convert the files as you export? I honestly don't know, because I've never used RAW.
I don't have a simple answer, but maybe this information will help you decide what works for you. -
Just purchased Photoshop Elements and the serial number shows as invalid
Whenever I enter my serial number a message appears : "This serial number is not valid for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12"

JohnUsing mostly FCP and Illustrator CS 3. Really do not need anymore performance for what I am doing but I need to add another station and wonder if the 3.2 would be a better performer. My current system is a 3.0 dual with quad cores. If the 3.2 would be a better performer then I would install the new system in my main suite.
