Is there a documented solution for the FlashPlayer Metafile Download error that works?

Many people are experiencing problems when downloading the new FlashPlayer version 10.3.183.5 from the Adobe website.  During the download process a "Metafile Download Error" occurs when performed from an office or client facing facility.   This issue is not isolated to Win7, but is also an issue with Win XP and/or Vista.  Is there a documented solution for the FlashPlayer Metafile Download error that works?

Use the download links in this post when that error occurs: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/889580

I have the JBL Radial and it will not charge the 3G...Before I buy a new one is there a solution to this???

    Good question for JBL.
If a product does not include the "made for iPhone" designation, no.
Some products that don't include this may work with the first generation iPhone but not with the iPhone 3G.

  • Is there a MapPoint Reader for the Mac?  I need to work in MapPoint but want to be able to read them on my Mac.

My team works on HP/Windows machines so Map Point makes sense but I can't read what they are putting out except as ppt. slides.
Does anyone know a reader?   I could not find one.

There is no MapPoint reader at all in the sense of opening MapPoint PTM files... not for Windows, Mac, iOS, etc.
Normally when I am working with clients and they need to view maps created with MapPoint, we write a macro to copy/paste all the interesting map views (might be all store locations or maps of territories) into Excel or PowerPoint and have some dropdowns or hyperlinks to add some interactivity as appropriate..  I've also written programs that publish all the maps to a web site. Let me know if this would be of interest to you.

  • Is there a documented limited on the number of download connections?

I have itunes 10 running on windows vista and when the option
"allow simultaneous connections" is on, itunes tries to make
3 server download connections. The 3rd connection always fails.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a windows resource restriction
or itunes server related? My network bandwidth is not the issue.
    thanks

But, I have also observed that the 3rd connection from itunes fails
even when this connection is to a different download area/site
(Univ. of Tenn., Stanford, MIT, etc).
But Podcasts are not downloaded _from iTunes,_ so it's not a connection to iTunes that's causing the symptoms you experience. Podcasts are hosted by whoever the Podcast's producers choose, in other words, the episodes are stored remotely from iTunes. When iTunes finds new epsiodes for any of your subscribed Podcasts, the download is between the host site and _the iTunes *on your computer.*_ Effectively, the Store is no longer involved.
So in theory, suppose Podcasts from different producers were stored on the same host, and that host offered a low price which had a condition that restricted simultaneous downloads to the same destination computer, that could give the same symptoms becasue the Podcasts are coming from the same host. I'm not saying that's definitely what's happening, but it could be a possibility. And the reason why a host may do that is to ensure that everyone has reasonable access to their servers without that preventing others from getting access.
More info - I am connected to itunes as guest. Would it make
any difference if I were logined as an active user account to
    the itunes site?
I doubt it, I download without being logged in at all. When these third downloads fail, do you get an error code? Also, how do you eventually manage to get the failed download?

  • Solution for Yosemite 10.10.1 wifi that worked for me

I created a new location in System Preferences > Network and deleted the old one.
    To explain this exactly:
System Preferences > Network > Location > Edit Locations... > [gear icon] > Rename Location > [I just called it 'corrupt'] > + (the plus icon for creating a new location) > [I called it 'Automatic' to replace what was there] > - (the minus icon to delete a location) > [delete 'corrupt' location I just created]. Then add your networks back in via the wifi icon menu bar in the top right.

    Hi @ Smaak ,
I see that you are having issues printing after updating to 10.10.3. I would be happy to help you.
I have provided some steps to try to see if we can resolve this issue.
Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
    Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
    Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
    Restart the computer.
    Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
    Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button.
Let me know how you make out and if you would like some steps for setting up the printer over the wireless network.
Feel free to click the Thumbs up button below if this helps. Thank You.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click the “Kudos Thumbs Up" on the right to say “Thanks” for helping!

  • Looking for the best to do application that works on both my MacBook and my iPhone.

I need a good to do application that can be shared.  My boss has a huge list of to do's and I need to be able to organize and prioritize them for her.  Also I need to make sure everything is getting completed on time.  She is on an iMac, MacBook Air and iPhone.  I'm on a MacBook, MacBook Pro and iPhone.  It doesn't need to be super intense and shouldn't be complicated.  Just needing something that we can both view, update and change.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Is there any alternate solution  for setting up the MDM Process, without following the Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and managing the devices by creating our own setup controlling through the server, Please let me know.
    Thanks for the help.

Finally I found the solution for the MDM, after doing some research work with the Apple Configurator, iPhone configuration utility and came across with the Profile Manager after installing Mac OS Server and able to manage, configure, remote access and send the commands using push notifications.

In Mac OS X v10.7, the $HOME/Library folder is a hidden folder.
Open Finder and use one of these:
    * Go > Go To Folder (Shift-Command-G) and in the dialog type: ~/Library
    * Open the "Go" menu and hold down the Option key to make the Library appear
You can also use this command in a Terminal window to remove the hidden flag.
    * Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Terminal
    * chflags nohidden ~/Library

Is there a solution for the limited time of videorecording?
By recording on my iPad2 there is a maximum time of 49 minutes and 51 seconds.

    Hello Studio X
I have an iPad2 with 64 GB. After I start the videorecording it stops automaticly by 49 minutes en 51 seconds.
I looked in my settings and there was still enough space left. Although I do not think that the 64Gb is not the problem.
I bought myself an alternative recording app now. I hope it works properly but if the quality is OK. I do not know. I combine the recordings with my video (digitaltape) camera of Sony.

  • Is there an "Unread Mail" solution for the iPhone that would allow me to see all new Unread mail?  I have ove 100 subfolders with rules that redirect mail.

Is there an "Unread Mail" solution for the iPhone that would allow me to see all new Unread mail in one location?
I have an iPhone 4 (not 4S). I use the Outlook client with an Exchange Server on my Desk.
In order to keep email organized, I have many subfolders (over 100) under my Inbox with rules that automatically redirect the bulk of new unread email to the subfolders.
In the Outlook client on the desktop, there is an "Unread Mail" Folder that lets me see ll unread mail in one location whether it be in the main inbox or in one of the subfolders of the inbox.
I would like to see all unread email in one location without me having to change my rules and work flow that I have been using for 7+ years?
It is much more work for me (so far) to see new email on the iPhone.  You have to scan each subfolder in order to tell where the new mail is that just arrived.

  • Has anyone come up with a solution for the WD Passport and Mavericks OSX issues yet?

I was wondering if anyone has come up with a solution for the newer Macbook Pro/Mavericks and external WD Passport not mounting problems?
I have a couple of year old WD Passport that worked fine in my old 2009 Macbook Pro, the problem is the old computer crashed.
My dilemna; My new 2014 Mackbook Pro will not open my WD Passport, called WD Support, their answer, sorry, nothing has been solved.
Is there anyway I can get access to my files on the Passport with any other software, or by using a PC.
I am aware of reformatting the HD, and have read all the forums I could find and have tried installing the WD Update as well, (with the support tech from WD) and nothing works.
I know that my WD Passport works, so please don't suggest checking it, or the cord.
I appreciate all the help anyone can offer, and I am with all the rest of you struggling for solutions.
    Thanks so much

Hi everyone, this is what I did
    1. upgrade disks to the latest firmware
    2. de-install ntfs-3g and MacFuse.
    3. Re-install NTFS 3G  without Macfuse.
    4. Next step: Install OSXFUSE latest version with selection MacFUSE compatibility layer.
    5. Last step: Install Fuse Wait
Note: between steps 2 and 5, I restarted my machine.
It worked for me, after about 4 hours.

    Thanks a lot.
HASPJava.dll is used by verification  License and is invoked less and can't use a lot of native memory.
Our business is communicating between java and COM component. In order to implement it, we used JavaCom to generate java class for COM component.
Memory of COM component is little, but Native Memory is high.
Who used JavaCom and did you meet this problem?
Please give me some suggestions. Thanks a lot.

  • HT201412 Since downloading i06, the Shopping List App immediately quits once I try to open to a list.  There are no updates for the app.  Is it just not compatable with the new operating system?

Help, since downloading i06, the Shopping List app immediately quits when attempting to start a list.  There's no update for the app.  What do I do next? (I've already removed and downloaded it again.) Any solution?
