Is there a driver for deskjet 3050 for mac osx 10.7?

I just bought the Deskjet 3050 and I am currently running Mac OSX 10.7 on my MacBook Pro. The setup disk won't work for 10.7 so how am I supposed to set up my printer to my wireless network and my computer? Thanks

OK, well, things are not quite ready for prime time with Lion and this printer .
Here is how to do it:
1. On the front of the printer, click the Wireless button, scroll down to Wireless Settings then Restore Defaults.   Restore them.
2. On your Mac, connect to a wireless network that begins with "HP-Setup...."
3. Open System Preferences > Print & Scan and add a printer with the '+' sign at the bottom of the list of printers.
4. Find your printer and click Add.
5. Now, back on the Print & Scan page, with the 3050 highlighted, click on Options & Supplies, then on Show Printer Webpage
6. On the resulting page, click the Network tab, then start the Wireless Setup Wizard.
7. Start the wizard, connect it to your network by choosing it then typing the password.
8. When the printer verifies that it is connected to your network, close Safari and then close Print & Scan.
9. Connect your Mac back to your regular wireless network.
Now, when you first try to print something it will take a while to find the printer, but it will eventually connect and print.

  • Is there DAQ driver for MAC or Linux

I know for Labview there is version for Mac or Linux.
Just want to learn if there is DAQ driver for MAC or Linux, which can support USB DAQ.

    Hi Alex,
Lynn is correct. For using NI's USB DAQ hardware with Mac and Linux, the best and only driver to use is NI-DAQmx Base. The readme file lists what specific devices are supported, which specific Linux and OS X versions are supported, and which hardware features are supported.

  • ADO Driver For Mac OSX?

    Hey All,
I am working on building an application in RealBasic that will run on both PC and Mac. The app needs to connect to a MS SQL database. On the Windows dev side I would normally just use an ADO connection, but I haven't been able to prove definitively whether or not Mac OSX has an ADO driver (or supports that type of connection out of the box). I know I can use DSN connections, but I hate the idea of having to set those up on each machine the app gets installed on. Is there an open source, freeware, or inexpensive ADO driver for the OSX platform? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

  • HP Laserjet 4 printer driver for mac osx 10.8.5

Anybody know of a mac osx 10.8.5 printer driver for a HP Laserjet 4?

Yeah, looked at this list earlier - they've got v. 19.8 for a Laserjet 4 Plus but mine is a plain Laserjet 4 so I doubt it would work. I used a Gutenprint driver v. 5.2.3 with Leopard that worked OK. Mountain Lion doesn't seem to like it as much...

  • Network Storage Drive for Mac OSX and XP

Hi I am a new apple owner with a MBP 17 running OSX. I also have two other PC laptops in the house.
    I have a Linksys G wireless router.
What I would like to do is to have a dual HD enclosure that I can plug into my wireless router so that I can share data between my MBP and my PC laptops via the network. I would like to use dual HDs so I can mirror them for back up purposes.
My question is how do I set this up so both my MBP and PCs can use the same HD to store/share data? Suggestions on specific hardware to buy would be welcome as well.
    Thanks for you help,
    Vik

You should simply get a network storage drive like this:
    http://westerndigital.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=152&language=en
you can attach to it a second USB hard drive for backup. If you shop around you'll get better price than directly from WD.
Or you can go for Mirra which in my opinion is a much better bet as it will automatically backup folders you want and sync them between computers:

This is probably the best answer, but if you have your heart set on Internet Exploiter, you need to visit http://mac.oldapps.com/
They have plenty of old versions of apps, including IE

  • Is there a driver for the thunderbolt ethernet adapter on a 2010 Macbook Air?

The thunderbolt ethernet adapter is not being recognized on my 2010 Macbook Air running 10.6.8. Is there a driver for it?

That's because there's no thunderbolt port on the 2010 MBair.  You need to buy the USB ethernet adapter.

  • Is there a driver for Windows 8.1 that works with HP Scanjet 5500c

Is there a driver for Windows 8.1 that works with HP Scanjet 5500c
    Thank you.

    Hi,
I afraid you will not be able to use the scanner with Windows 8.1, it is not compatible with the OS.
Regarding VueScan, I afraid it would not be an option as well, the application only support your scanners if there are drivers for the OS:
If there isn't an HP scanner driver at www.hp.com for your operating system, then unfortunately VueScan won't work with this scanner.
You may try using the Vista drivers by running the drivers using the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter as listed below.. select Not Listed from the programs list and browse to the installation file for Vista:

I have a macbook pro.  I want to print to a Dell photoprinter 720.  Is there a driver for my mac that will let me use my printer?

Dell only provide some rather old Windows drivers for this model, no Mac drivers at all.
Plug it in, you may get lucky but frankly I doubt it.

  • How to format an external drive for mac AND pc use

i want to format my external drive so i can use it on my mac and on pc's as well. i've gathered that the MS-DOS format is the way to go. my question is this: would this create any problems for my mac then?
can i partion one part for ms-dos and part for macos extended?
    cheers
    -j-

MS-DOS format (or FAT32) will be fine for both Mac and PC. However there is a 4GB file size limit with FAT32.
You could use a dual partition, however the HFS+ partition would not be readable by the PC unless you installed the third party MacDrive.
Look at this page for more information on a dual partition drive for Mac and Windows.

  • Musicord Cherub MRD-41 Recorder: USB-Driver for Mac

    Hello,
I am searching for the USB-Driver for Musicord Cherub MRD-41 Recorder. Searching for it along the internet did not give any matching result.
Originally a CD containing the USB-Driver for Windows was included with the product. Since we now work with Apple-Products this does no longer work. Connecting the device to a Mac (as it is normal these days) and hoping, that it will work without any additional Software does not give any result.
On the Original-CD the manufacturer states, that the USB-Driver for Mac can be downloaded at www.apple.com but there nothing can be found anymore.
The recorder has been bought about 6 years ago (used under Windows then). Now we would like to use it again under Mac-systems (10.6 and 10.7).
Does anyone know, if, and where help can be found?
    Thank you very much

If it uses MIDI, Garageband can often read it.

  • WD "My Passport hard drive for Mac."

    Hi -
New convert from Windows to MacBook Pro so I apologize if this seems like a dumb question BUT......
Just purchased a WD "My Passport hard drive for Mac." It says on the box that it is formatted HFS+, Journaled for Lion & Mountain Lion as well as compatible with Apple Time Machine. My assumption is that based on this there is no need for me to format this for my Mac since this hard drive was already formatted specifically for a Mac.  However, since some of the other information I've seen online refers to always formatting your hard drive before use, I wanted to double check since I am just getting started with my

As you are going to use Time Machine, it will ask you to format the external disk if there are files inside it when you set Time Machine up. Open System Preferences > Time Machine > Select Disk, choose the external disk and the backup will start.
Also, you can create a second partition on the external disk to make clones with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to have the advantages of Time Machine and the clone

  • HT201250 Is their a way to only backup my photos on my Backup Plus Drive for MAC?

Can anyone tell me if and how to only backup my photos on my "Backup Plus Drive for Mac" by Seagate, through Time Machine?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We're all users here.
In my opinion, Time Machine is a general program to back up 'everything', on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis, not really intended to back up only specific files or folders. In fact, Time Machine preferences are designed to help you EXCLUDE certain files and folders, rather than specify which ones to INCLUDE.
There are many alternatives. These are two I've used successfully:
Though not specifically designed for backup, iPhoto Library Manager from Fat Cat Software can duplicate, move, and also rebuild your iPhoto library file. It is available for US$29.95 from fatcatsoftware.com
For backup, I use an older free version of a program called Carbon Copy Cloner from Bombich Software that will permit you to back up files, folders, and and even create a bootable 'clone' of an entire hard drive. The current program release is no longer free, and is available for US$39.95 directly from Bombich Software Store. http://www.bombich.com/

  • How can I download a driver for a Brother printer DCP-J411ODW for Mac OSX 10.9.1?

How can I download a driver for a Brother printer DCP-J411ODW for Mac OSX 10.9.1? I go to the right place on the Brother website and instead of downloading a driver it says there is a problem. Also something I did download and stuff on the CD provided with the printer is for a PC not a MAc. Help please.

OK, connecting a Wi-Fi printer is a 2 step process.
    Connect printer to your network
Have computer to "see" printer on the network.
Follow Apple's steps for connecting a Wi-Fi printer in Printing in OS X. Read the article in it's entirety before installing.
