Is there a firefox 3.6.29??

Is 3.6.28 absolutely the latest version of FF 3.6.x?? I have tried FF 12 and others. Don't like them. I just want the very latest 3.6.x.

Firefox 3.6 was made officially EOL on [https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2012/03/23/upcoming-firefox-support-changes/ April 24th 2012] after about 27 1/2 months. There are no more security updates for the old Firefox 3.6 as the 3.6.28 was the last.
It originally came close to being EOL earlier back about Firefox 3.6.19 in 2011 but it then became the reluctant older supported version after Firefox 4.0 was released and then continued to get security updates until 3.6.28.

I click on a link and it goes there in Firefox but it doesn't put the browser on top of what I am doing. It used to do that, how can I make it go back to doing that?

I am using Robo Form like I have for years and when I click on a website to open it goes there and puts in the username and password and opens in a new tab but Robo Form stays on top and Firefox is underneath it and it used to automatically go to Firefox and put it on top and now it doesnt do that anymore.

  • Is there a Firefox Mobile version that will run on Windows 6.5 phones?

I am using a Samsung Omnia II (SCH i920). Is there a Firefox Mobile program that will run on my phone. It is a Windows 6.5 device.

Sorry, Mozilla stopped development on the Windows CE OS platform almost a year ago, and has no current plans to pick it up again.

When I set up an App Tab the original tab and the App Tab are both there when Firefox opens next time. I have tried saving the current tabs, etc but that doesn't help.

I had this problem after I installed an update for Java. Firefox also stopped remembering my open tabs from last time. I disabled all of the Java plug-ins, restarted, and it's worked great ever since. Haven't missed Java yet either.

    # As to what is the best browser, it is subjective. I think it is the best, others will disagree. There is no special version for Windows Server 2003, the usual version works on it.
    # It is free of charge and will always be free.
    # It is open source.

  • Is there a firefox for i phones?

I just install Firefox and I am very please with it. I like to know if there a Firefox for the I phone as well.

    Hello @sky0,
There is currently not a Firefox browser available at the ios app store.
This is primarily due to Apple's strict rules, that don't allow Mozilla to user their gecko engine in the browser app. Therfore Firefox was removed from the app store.
It is available for Android and Firefox OS (ofcoufse) though.
    I hope this helps

  • Is there a Firefox Facebook add-on that displays IDs of people who browsed my FB page?

Is there a Firefox Facebook add-on that displays IDs of people who browsed my Facebook page?
I've not been able to find one in a search, but it seems like I've heard of one in the past.
    Thanks!

Thanks Swarnava. I found some information warning about all the fakes and malware that can be installed with those bogus plugins... I'll stay away from those.
@ Tylerdowner... I stopped updating Firefox at version 5 after Mozilla started coming out with new full versions for complete re-installations of Firefox every week. I'm tired of going through full installations, needing to re-install all my plug-ins, sorting out all the good changes from the bad and trying to figure out why Mozilla changed how something as basic as duplicating a tab is done.
Then when I post questions about the new, needless changes to the basic function of the browser I get snotty replies from some of the answer doofs on this forum.
If Mozilla has to "keep up with the Chromes" like some little contest and come out with a full new browser version to install each week instead of simple in place upgrades like they did up through version 3, then so be it, but I don't have the time to keep re-installing everything and go through a learning curve each time Mozilla wants to prove how "up" they are in a competition with Google Chrome. Jeezus, it's ridiculous.
I've turned off my update notice thing and I've also heard that there is no way to turn off the update or "install a full new version" control in the newer versions of Firefox... another good reason to NOT update to newer versions.
I have a full double layer anti-virus system that functions through Firefox and over this entire machine that works just fine for "Security".
Even the "Automatically check for updates" check box for add-ons makes my Firefox 5 install add-on updates behind my back without asking, contrary to what one might think, thinking that it will at least ask. The thing in the Firefox options panel says "CHECK for updates" not "Update behind my back".
With the recent Adobe Flash update debacle that took place just last week where Adobe distributed a Flash player that often didn't work AT ALL, like on my machine (even though I DO NOT have the Real Player installed that they were trying to blame the problem on) the Flash update interface would come across desktops directly from Adobe, and even if you chose NOT to install it, Firefox would still install that plug-in update behind your back and F-up your Flash player.
Then Adobe says to set the Flash player control panel for "Check before updates" but even that setting checks every 24 hours and re-installs the new broken Flash player on top of the previous one, again, behind your back, that you just re-installed to fix the new broken one.
So you have to uncheck the "add-ons" box in Firefox to keep it from screwing up your Flash player AGAIN, and then set the Flash player control panel to "Never check" in the system settings.
Cripes, you have to keep on top of all the Firefox settings and Flash system settings to subvert a Catch 22 oriented system that updates your Flash player to a new broken one that doesn't work no matter what, and both Mozilla and Adobe are the ones that created this monster.
    Okay, there's my four cents.
    Thanks.

  • Is there a Firefox plug-in for Outlook Web Access?

I want to access all of Outlook's functions but can't through Firefox, only through Explorer.
In Outlook Web Access through Firefox, I don't have access to menu options for italics, bold, underlining, etc., and I can't view the list of emails on one side while viewing the email content of one email on the other side. The place to access folders like the sent box is different, too, through Firefox. It's a very downgraded version of Outlook Web Access. How can I get the better version of Outlook Web Access while still keeping Firefox as my browser? Is there a plug-in? If not, can Firefox fix this issue with its browser?

Firefox 3.03 - why such an old version? 3.6.12 is the most recent release.
It is up to Microsoft to fix Outlook Web Access to work with Firefox or to come up with a plugin for Firefox. If Mozilla was to start fixing or write plugins for all the software out there that is made to work with Internet Explorer and not any other browser, they wouldn't have time to work on Firefox.
There are two Firefox extensions that will open IE in a Firefox tab. Many users install one of these addons to get around problems like you are having with Outlook Web Access.

  • Is there a Firefox for Windows 8? I'm looking for a Firefox app or version for WIndows 8.

I bought a new PC with WIndows 8 and although I love it, I'm finding that Firefox seems to only run in the desktop mode and I'm trying to find an app in the Windows shop or something that will run in Windows 8 like all the other programs, similar to IE. Is there one that I'm not seeing or is that in the works?

Ever since Firefox suggested upgrade to 3.6 I have been unable to reply or create new e-mail. I have an older Mac OS X 10.39 and am unable to upgrade to the Firfox version 3.6 from the existing version 2.0.0.20.

There are no updates available for you, Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last version that works on OS X 10.3.9, later versions of Firefox require at least OS X 10.4

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Is there a Firefox 64 bit version for Win 7 64 bit. I cant find any data on this.

I have read that there may be a 64 bit version of Firefox. My latest upgrade is V 6.0 which to me is no different to earlier versions and still loads very slow put of the box. I am not to keen on using beta versions as I have experienced many troubles in the past using these on my Win 7 64 bit . Every upgrade always seems to be the old 32bit. Surely by now most programs should have caught up to 64 bit. Thanks for any help

Win64 Nightly has existed for some time however they are not supported (like the Win32, Mac OSX 32/64-bit and Linux 32/64-bit are) as they are currently more for to catch breakage/regressions. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Supported_build_configurations
No it is not simply because the 32-bit version works.
The 64-bit Windows builds has still been a work in progress on a number of things that needs to be in order, especially for Win64 Releases to happen.

  • The bottom bar, which shows the URL, the "lock" on secured sites, etc, is NOT THERE on firefox but is on other browsers. What can I do?

As above, the bar across the bottom, which shows the URL, the "lock" symbol on secure sites, etc., IS NOT THERE on any firefox page I open. It is there on other browsers but I would like to continue using firefox. What should I do?

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.<br />
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.<br />
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.
