Is there a Firefox version capable of supporting my MAC 10.4.11?

I need a version of Firefox for my MAC 10.4.11 (which works - your forum replies indicate the suggested version does not) which I can then download. Thank you.

As of Firefox 4.0 and newer one needed Mac OSX 10.5+ and '''Intel'''. As of Firefox 17.0 and newer one needs OSX 10.6+

Also not that the tenfourfox mentioned [http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/PluginsNoLongerSupported does not support Plugins] due to being old/insecure on PPC Mac.

For some reason, I cannot seem to print to my printer Dell 1355cnw from Firefox anymore. I'm using Firefox version 13.0 on a Mac 10.6.8. I recently upgraded my printer from another Dell network printer, which worked absolutely fine. Any thoughts or ideas would be hugely appreciated?

  • Is there an older version of flash for my mac 10.6.8?

Is there an older version of flash for my mac 10.6.8?

Actually you can use the latest Flash Player version 15 on Mac OS 10.6.8.  Mac OS 10.5.8 and older are no longer compatible and need an older Flash Player version (depending on PPC or Intel platform).

  • Is there a Firefox version for the IPAD2?

Various sites tout its availability but when I click on the download icon it sends me to App Store which says it is not available in the US.

There is no version of Firefox for iOS due to Apple restrictions. Apple does not allow competing browser engines on their iOS devices.

  • Is there a firefox version of IETester?

This is an inquiry, not a problem. I'm wondering if you have a tool that will allow me to test multiple versions of Firefox at the same time

You do not need a tool to start multiple Firefox versions.<br />
You can do a custom install and install each version in a different folder.<br />
Be sure not to start each version after the installation finishes, but use the Profile Manager to create a profile for that version. Also make a desktop shortcut to start each version with its own profile.
    See:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Shortcut_to_a_specific_profile
You can start multiple Firefox versions if you add the "-no-remote" switch to the command line that launches that version.
You need a separate profile for each extra instance to do that as only one instance of Firefox can use a profile at the same time.<br />

  • I have an app that only works on IE7 is there a firefox version equivalent to IE&7?

My LTS 2808me DVR's only work on IE7, and I can no longer down garde that far to IE7 on my windows laptop. I was told that firefox has a version equilent to IE7 , how do I download it?

If that application is using proprietary IE (MS) code then it will only work in IE and not in Firefox.
You can install a portable (ESR) Firefox version to access websites that do not work with the current Firefox release.
The portable version comes with its own profile folder and doesn't interfere with the currently installed release version.

  • Is Firefox 3.6.19 supported in Mac OS X Lion?

I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.7. I am working on a project that uses a Firefox extension only supported in Firefox 3 versions. Lion says that Firefox 3.x is not supported as it is in PowerPC. I am aware that Lion dropped support for apps in written for PowerPC. However, I noticed one thing. I reinstalled Firefox 3.6.19 and it seems to be running just as fine. When I restarted, unfortunately, Lion once again keeps telling me I cannot run Firefox 3.6.19.
Any thoughts on this? I need Firefox 3 really. Although I also use Firefox 5 for the rest of my web browsing work. Thank!

Firefox 3.6 requires at least OS X 10.4, the last version that works on OS X 10.3.9 is Firefox 2.0.0.20 available from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/

  • My Mac 10.5.8 won't support the Firefox 5.0.1. Is there another Firefox version that I can download?

  • Firefox 16 no longer supported by MAC 10.5

I just received a message from Mozella that FF16 is no longer supported by MAX 10.5 and I need to get a new computer? Has anyone else gotten such a message and what do I need to do?
    TIA,
    Bill

    More details on doing this.
Get TenFourFox and basically continue using Firefox. It gets all the necesssary Firefox security updates and will use all the Firefox Add-ons. If you have an Intel Mac, it will run under Rosetta/PPC emulation, which shouldn't slow you down much, if at all--at least give it a try. All your bookmarks, everything, will still be there. It will use your current Firefox Profile.
Plug-ins like Flash are disabled by default, but they can easily be reenabled. Although I would leave out Java and use Flash with discretion (get the FlashBlock Add-on, which will set a placeholder for Flash content), since there are known Flash exploits for older versions of Flash.

  • Firefox version that will run on Mac OSX 10.39

Is ther a version of Firefox that will run on my G4 with MacOSX 10.39? Has there ever been a version that would run on this OS? What number would it have been.

OK, for anyone else dealing with this type of issue, the fix is simple:  Install the Creative Cloud desktop app if you haven't.  Click on Apps, filter apps by "previous version" and boom, legacy apps.  Easy.

  • Rendering a website in older firefox version

    Hi,
I'm a web developer who has just recently started using Firefox again after a two year leave. I'm pretty impressed with version 8 and have started doing some development work however I need to test some pages in older versions of Firefox since my visitors still use versions <8. Is there any options that allow me to specify which version of Firefox I'd like to render the page in? There are a number of CSS styles that I need to test in both version 7 and 8.

No, Firefox doesn't have a compatibility mode to view pages with older Firefox versions.<br />
You will have to install additional Firefox versions if you want to test websites with that other version.<br />
IE doesn't allow to install multiple versions, but with Firefox there is no such problem.
Do a custom install and install each version in its own program folder to use multiple Firefox versions.

  • I want to reinstall firefox version 4; 5 does not allow google toolbar with credit card autofill

I am using FF 5 and want to use google toolbar autofill for credit cards. Google tells me it does not support version 5 for this add on.

Firefox 4 was replaced by Firefox 5 and is no longer supported.
*Security and stability issues in Firefox 4 will not be updated in Firefox 4; '''those issues have been fixed in Firefox 5'''.
*Only 2 Firefox versions are currently supported: Firefox 3.6.19 (support to end soon) and Firefox 5.
*Firefox 3.6.20 (replacing 3.6.19) and Firefox 6 (replacing Firefox 5) are scheduled to be released on 08/16/2011 (subject to change).
There are some suggestions in the articles that follow to replace some functions of the Google toolbar.
'''<u>Google decided that they will no longer produce the Google Toolbar for Firefox beyond Firefox 4</u>'''. <br>
Future versions of Google toolbar will only work with IE7-9. Google Toolbar is not available on any other browser, even Google's own browser.

  • What is the last stable version that FULLY supports ALL Kaspersky add-ins? How do I get it?

I'm sick of FireFox updating itself and breaking Kaspersky add-ins I rely on. How do I roll back to a version that FULLY supports ALL Kaspersky add-ins?

It is the other way as it is Kaspersky that supports Firefox. You cannot expect any Firefox version to just support the thousand of extensions out there.
Unlike the vast majority of extensions which if compatible with Firefox 10.0 or even 4.0 they should usually still work fine. Extensions like these by Kaspersky needs to be compiled for each new Firefox version due to binary.

    I have Win 7 x64 operating system.
How can I run two different FireFox versions?

Firefox '''4 '''versions '''and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac''' and require at least OS X 10.5 and an '''Intel Mac'''.
The latest''' supported''' version for your os is '''3.6.26''' , your are fully updated.
