What model of Mac? I have a MBP running 10.7.3 and do not have that issue. From the other couple of posts I've seen about it, it seems to be maybe an issue with some iMacs? Have your tried searching the Lion or iMac forums for similar issues, just to see if anyone has hit on why it is happening?

You would need to sync with iTunes to get that process to work for you. Check out the article below for more information on how to resolve that issue to get the proper token to use Push Notifications again.

Is there a fix for the wifi issue with 5.01 yet?

After my g3 installed the 5.01 lollipop there is lag in app selection and web and email speeds are worse that dial up now. what can be done that works?

Right now, all that can be done is trying a factory reset until 5.0.2 comes to the G3. Maybe even 5.1 comes instead.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

My fix for the wifi problem

My wifi on my new unibody MBP was acting up. At first, the connection was dropping out after sleep, then it was slowing down, much more so than my iMac on the same network. Then, the internet stopped working altogether. Meanwhile, my iMac wifi was woirking just fine. Diagnotics showed the MBP was connecting to the router, but the internet wouldn't connect.
I called Apple Care and they had me connect the internet cable directly to the MBP. As expected, the internet worked fine. Then to my surprise, after disconnecting the cable and running the AirPort diagnostic again, the wifi started working again! Hurray!
Hopefully this will help some of you suffering souls out there.

I found the solution after many many many attemps.
It's not a MBP problem, it's your wireless router.
1- Set your BEACON between 20 and 50. D-LINK router for example use 100 has default value. It's too long.
2- Change your channel. D-link default is 6. Use whatever channel. I use 10.

We've reached out to the Hotmail team and they've determined that this is a bug in their code. (It was masked by a timing issue in 3.5 that was fixed in 3.6.) We've worked with them to develop a fix but they may not have deployed it yet.

Other than what you have already done, you should clear the cache from your browser and, if you use it, your Facebook app. Also, deleting old texts can free up some room.

There are no recalls, there is no widespread issue.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the problem continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?
