Is there a Flash to HTML5 converter? Or other options.

Is there a Flash to HTML5 converter Application for desktop/laptop Macs? I have tried to stay the course of 'no flash' but it can be challenging.
So a sub question could also be, for those in the Mac community who advocate HTML5, what do you do when you come across a site that requires flash?

I have Flash turned off via an extension. I have to click on Flash content to play it.

  • Does iOS 7's Safari Convert Youtube Flash and HTML5 Videos to Quicktime? How Is it Playing?

    Hi. It's good to see Safari (I have iOS 7) playing videos on sites like Youtube. Is it converting Flash and HTML5 to Quicktime or is the video playing because it's only using HTML5? How does Safari go about playing Youtube and Flash videos? Apple has solved the Flash for mobile problem then?
    Thank you. Have a great upcoming sunday mass/ great week.
    God bless.

    there is no flash for mobile problem since adobe has discontinued flash for any mobile device.
    Safari is not converting anything.
    HTML5 facilitates streaming video in a format that ios devices can natively play(mp4).
    Youtube/google is putting stuff up in html5.

  • Is There No FLV/Flash Player or Converter for 10.3.9 under Quicktime 7.5?

    Greetings:
    Is There No Working FLV/Flash Player or Converter for 10.3.9 under Quicktime 7.5?
    QT 7.5 plum doesn't play flash at all, Flip4Mac or Perian or no. VLC and Streamclip have no video, and I tried the latest iSquint to convert and ended up with blank video that the helper patcher couldn't fix (at least under Panther). I'd try SWF & FLV Player if there was one that worked under Panther but despite the 10.3.9 labels on download sites they're all Tiger only. The only FLV player I found is "Wimpy" but it's very awkward and works only with dragged files.
    I heard there was some trouble with QT 7.5 regarding videos and some go back to 7.4, but I REALLY don't want to go the install and archive route!
    Any savior would be most appreciated!
    Thanks
    JimWG
    Using 10.3.9/10.4.9 partitions on 900mHz G3 iBook.

    Thanks lots for your assist!
    I'll test that out once I get home to my G3 iBook, but in a nutshell I guess I'm asking is can Quicktime directly read FLV files under G3 10.3.9 like Quicktime (with Perian) does under 10.4.11 without any go-betweens? Is there a "Perian" type add-on for QT under !0.3.9 to play FLVs by? It seems that so many folks have left Panther that no one's ever ran into this issue!

  • Is there adobe flash player on any of the ipad

    is there adobe flash player on any of the ipad

    No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
    Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
    Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
    So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
    Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
    Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
    Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
    A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:
      1. Puffin
      2. SkyFire
      3. Photon Flash
      4. Browse2Go
      5. Swifter
    Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
    Download the Facebook app from the iTunes Store. Sign in with your Facebook ID and Password and you won't require flash to play videos.

  • HTTP Live streaming test in Flash Player, HTML5 player, iphone, android and other smart phones.

    Hi,
    Can anyone please tell me how can I play http live streaming from FMLE 3.2 to Flash player, iphone, ipdad, HTML5 player, Android and other devices?
    I have tried my best to play live streaming usine FMLE 3.2 with help of "http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/devguide/WSd391de4d9c7bd609-52e437a812a3725df a0-8000.html" but not able to play video using HTTP.
    When I tried to play url-  "http://localhost/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m" even in in Strobe Media Player it was showing "Buffering" that's it. But I can play same RTMP URL in Flash AS3 using the netstream very fine.
    Now I want to test the livepkgr content via HTTP to Flash Player, HTML5 Player (on Web browser and smartphones), iphone and other devices.
    Thanks
    Best regards,
    Sunil Kumar

    Hi Sunil,
    It's difficult to debug an issue when you don't have access to the machine and you can't see what's happening, so I request you to please have a little patience.
    For playback just check the following steps and make sure if you have followed them :
    1) Delete the streams folder and any .stream file in the livepkgr
    2) Restart FMS
    3) Make sure you have a crossdomain.xml under root_install/webroot
    4) Publish a stream from FMLE as 'livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent'
    5) Use this player to playback the stream : http://osmf.org/dev/2.0gm/StrobeMediaPlayback.html?src=http://<your-ip>/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m
    If there is no playback, here are some checks you can do :
    1) Request for the http://<your-ip>/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m in your browser. You should receive an xml that looks something like this :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
         <manifest xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/f4m/1.0">
              <id>livepkgr/events/_definst_/liveevent</id>
                      <mimeType />
              <streamType>live</streamType>
              <duration>0</duration>
              <bootstrapInfo profile="named" url="../../../streams/livepkgr/events/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.bootstrap" id="bootstrap7158" />
              <media streamId="livestream" url="../../../streams/livepkgr/events/_definst_/liveevent/livestream" bootstrapInfoId="bootstrap7158">
                          <metadata>AgAKb25NZXRhRGF0YQgAAAAAAAhkdXJhdGlvbgBAJUUeuFHrhQAFd2lkdGgAQHQAAAAAAA=</m etadata>
                </media>
    </manifest>
    2) Check the access log under Apache to see if the .f4m, .bootstrap and Frag files have been requested and delivered. If a particular entry has a status code of 200 then the file has been served by FMS. You can confirm the same on the client side using a software like fiddler.
    Coming to the player issue, a playback of *f4v via the vod directive is a progressive download, whereas playback of an *f4m file via hds-vod is HTTP streaming.
    I have personally used Spark VideoPlayer and hence suggested the same.
    You need to add a component like :
    <s:VideoPlayer width="100%" height="30%" chromeColor="#CCCCCC" color="#000000"
                     fontSize="12"
                     source="http://<your-ip>/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m"
                        symbolColor="#000000"/>
    Let me know if any of these suggestions help.
    Thanks,
    Apurva

  • Why so little function flash to html5?

    this software flash to html5 called it can convert its flash format to html5, i have a try, but find the function is so little.
    i feel s odispoint. any one can recommend a better tool?

    Hi
    The graphic which you posted seems to be non-interactive flash content which draws an animated graph when the user plays it.
    Since it's non-interactive, one solution, which works on mobile devices as wekk is to convert yoru flash content to video, then use the HTML5 <video> tag to embed the video in a webpage.
    With this solution, your animated content will be visible on all popular HTML 5 devices / mobile devices.
    If this solution interests you, try out FLABACO (www.Flash-Banner-Converter.com).  It's a Free, online Flash (SWF) to video converter which generates great quality video.
    Flabaco supports action script, maintains the frame rate (fps) and is capable of handling professional HD content.
    The only thing you need to ensure is that the flash content auto-plays as soon as it is loaded.  (autoplay / autostart.)
    Let me know if you need any help.

  • Is there any way I can convert a .exe file to .iso on my MacBook Air? I'm trying to install Windows via BootCamp but the download from Microsoft is a .exe file which does me no good.

    I'm trying to install Windows 8 via Boot Camp, but the download from Microsoft is a .exe file so when I go to create the bootable USB drive, it fails. I've read some of the other threads about this topic, but I want to know if there is any way to convert to .iso without having to find someone's Windows computer to borrow. Can anyone help?

    No. You would require a PC in order to run the executable which is an installer, not a disc image or an archive.

    There are apps that will give you tech specs on files. I think Media Info is one. Most likely it's in done delivery codec like DiVX. AVI is a piece of **** as a container anyway and should have been completely abandoned years ago.

    Re: Flash player for Ipad

    Folks, here's the sad truth, according to Engadget:
    "After nearly 4 years of the iOS platform, Adobe is still having difficulty being able to get Flash Player on Apple’s mobile platform. Many sided with Adobe on this one a couple of years ago calling this exclusion unreasonable, but the latest failures for Android Honeycomb to deliver decent Flash performance justifies Apple's decision. Even the Frash hacks bogged down the 1st generation iPad and the PlayBook had problems bring Flash to their Blackberry Tablet."
    Some months ago, before I really researched this issue, I was determined to "get around Steve Jobs obvious hidden personal and business greed agendas" and run Flash on a tablet. So I bought an ASUS Transformer Tablet just to be able to run flash (a $400 "app")! OK, just a wee bit over the top. But, I can now personally testify to the surprisingly disappointing performance of Flash on Android.
    Based on that confirmation, and on numerous reports from those running Flash on jailbroken iPads, either Adobe has lost all of it top notch programmers to Google, Facebook, -- and likely even Apple! -- or it never has been serious about porting Flash to iOS (I suppose this could have been intentional, thinking that the absence of Flash would do serious harm to the platform once folks found out).
    But whatever. I am finally over my Flash of "brilliance" and resigned to just skip over the web sites that require Flash, and wait till I am at my iMac or PC to do those that are really necessary. And, despite that the ASUS Tablet does technically run Flash, it does it so poorly that I preferred to use my Mac or PC.
    I gave the minty new ASUS Tablet which is otherwise a nicely done, but still "work in progress" (unlike my Android phone) to my med school daughter. She loves it -- and now calls me all the time to talk, usually about how to get stuff to work on it (but any excuse to talk to her is good by me ;-).
