Violetvi wrote:
too late for that i used the cd already
When prompted for the passowrd, enter the one on the label on the hub. (thats only one time) I can change that in Hubmanagerment,
Thats the Hub Management password and the first time you enter the Hub management pages you will be promted to set up a new one.
BTopenzone connects when I disconnect from my BTHub internet line, BTopenzone connects Im not charged for that?
No you are not charged, but there is NO need to disconnect your wireless. Just close your web browser window or shut down your computer.
on that part of my BThub it will say
name (my bt hub name)
signal strength; excellent
security type; WPA2 -PSK
radio type:802.11n
So im gathering that my security on it is WPA2-PSK that is lockdown for my only use only.. No-one can access my wireless connection only on my computer...?
Correct, as long as you don't give them the wireless key, which unless you have changed it is on the labels on the HUB

  • Is there a guide for iCloud?

iCloud is very confusing on how it has been implemented.  We have 4 devices in our household.  My wife has an ipad and an iphone and I have teh same.
Up to this point, we have always used my apple ID to buy music, apps, music, etc.  I upgraded everything to new IOS and on 3 of the 4 we used my apple ID.  On the 4th my wife put in her gamecenter id.
So, my question is, should she be using her own apple id for icloud?  If we do that, the find my iphone feature in icloud is worthless because then I cannot use it to see her devices (I know where mine are).  Also, how can we then share calendars (that was one of the features touted in the keynote).  How do we then share the music, apps and movies?
I also have a @me email address and cannto figure out how to port that over to iCloud.  I was forced to create a new ID.
Is there a guide to iCloud anywhere?

iCloud Help is the best place to learn about how to use all the features of iCloud.
It is available by going to http://www.icloud.com/ and clicking Help.
But, iCloud isn't really designed as a business-level service. It's more for keeping personal data in sync between personal computers and iOS-based mobile devices.
Have a read through the Help, and also the iCloud web-pages below and see if you think it will do what you're hoping it will.

Also, the iCloud specific forums start here: https://discussions.apple.com/community/icloud?view=overview

Is there an uodated "Getting started" guide, "Evaluation" guide or "Object Reference" guide for Lookout version 6.x?

I'm afraid there are no updated manuals specifically for Lookout 6.x, because Lookout 6.x doesn't have big changes against 4.x and 5.x.  The objects, the way how to use objects, the "Getting Started Guide" are almost the same in 6.x.

  • Is there a guide for starting coldfusion development on Ubuntu?

I have successfully installed coldfusion on Ubuntu 13.10, but as a newbie to Ubuntu I am looking for a guide on the best way to continue from here?
For example, I can view the CFADMIN at "http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm", but am having difficulties viewing test documents placed in the wwwroot folder.
      Wayne

    Dear Anit
Thank you so much for all the help!  The general guide on the differences immediately solved one problem once I changed the name of "application.cfm" to "Application.cfm"
I am far from a "power user", but am enjoying the learning process.  Inevitably I find that most of my encountered problems are associatied with permissions.
For a few brief years I was a cf developer, but now work in the tennis field at a large club.  I developed an application which saved me hours and hours of work, and this application has become a key element in the whole summer program.  Unfortunately, after migrating to CF10 from CF9 I can no longer connect to smtp.gmail.com (after hours and hours of searching for a work-around).  Luckily I still had the same application on an older laptop, which was using CF9 ... and so I was still able to work as I wanted.
I decided to partition my new laptop to see if CF10 would work as I needed on Ubuntu.... which explains my intial posting.
I am very happy to report that, with your help, I have had success.  For the record this is what I did
after installing Ubuntu I followed this great guide:  http://www.howtoforge.com/installing-apache-and-coldfusion-9-on-ubuntu-9.04 (of course installing the downloaded CF10 and not CF9)
BUT, the apache connector didn't work for me. (this was before the above posting of Anit's ... and as a Ubuntu newbe I couldn't see any way forward)
so I uninstalled coldfusion and reinstalled ... as a standalone server
no problem at all viewing the CF Admin page
after installing and running msql, I imported my club database and application files
not a problem creating the appropriate datasource within CF Admin
BUT, I couldn't view my application in a browser after moving it to the "wwwroot" folder
finally I (fortuitously) changed the permissions on this application folder so that I had appropriate rights ... which had a GUI allowing me to do so, otherwise I think I never would have done it alone!
Immediately I could view index.cfm, but then I would have a DATASOURCE error when I drilled down
Once I saw that "application.cfm" had to have a capital "A" i.e. "Aplication.cfm" everything worked
went to "mail" under CF Admin. Verifying my mail server was at first annoying.  Port 465 with TLS checked didn't work ... but then port 587 verified!
a test email to myself using my application in the browser proved successful...yay!
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!
Again Anit, thank you for your help!

  • Is there a guide for installing an OS into an LDOM without netbooting?

I have been looking for an install guide that specifically mentions how to install into an LDOM without jumpstarting. There are a few hints about mounting an ISO, but that has not worked for me. I am using a T2000, with Firmware 6.4.6 and LDOM 1.0 software.

Installing from an ISO/DVD is possible with OpenSolaris - snv_77 or later. The support will also be in S10U5.

  • A guide for unlocking cores

This may be an old topic but I am new to doing anything with core unlocks.
I will provide my specific 800 series board ident shortly.
My question is:  is there a guide for doing this at the Forum or elsewhere?
Are there other materials such as BIOS mods that may be needed as downloads from MSI or  here at MSI HQ?

On the boards allowing this feature (so long as there are cores to be unlocked on the cpu) it is a simple bios setting in oc section to be enabled. If there is no such setting no core unlocking.

  • Is there a compatibility guide for SSDs in the late 2011 macbook pro model?

Is there a compatibility guide for SSDs in the late 2011 macbook pro model? I'm looking to purchase a 15.4" Late 2011 Macbook pro and was looking a SATA3 SSD that was supported (outside of the ones provided by Apple). Does anyone have any success stories they wish to share? I assume the problem with secondary bay and SATA3 has still not been resolved.

Have you looked at the OWC web site?  They specialize in Mac peripherals and they have a good line of SSDs and secondary bays as well.  My experience with them has been good but I am not ready for SSDs.  For my needs the cost/benefits are not there.
    Ciao.

  • Is there a user guide for Robohelp 7?

I've used Robohelp before, but now am faced with having to create a stylesheet.  I've tried using the Help but it seems to make assumptions that I've done created .css before.  For example, the kinds of things that I can find no information on:
What is the Design Editor?  I can't seem to find it to be able to create an external style sheet.
In the "Create a style sheet" topic, you must first click style sheet, but the style sheet button isn't enabled.
Bottom line: I'm looking for all inclusive documentation that will give me concepts and procedures for creating a style sheet.
    Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you so much for sharing these resources with me.  I have viewed
Adobe's tutorials on a number of topics and where their documentation
falls short of the mark, the tutorials are excellent.  I can't wait to dig
    into them.

Is there a user guide for Robohelp 7?
    Hi..
I COMPLETELY understand your frustration, because i've just gone through
    the same ordeal.
Its impossible to figure out how to import frame files into RH and how to
use style sheets from the on-line help, because as you said, you only get
bits and pieces of information out of context, and many of the
descriptions of settings don't explain what they are for/do. Its the same
old paradox; the only way you can understand the on-line help is if you
already understand the product; in which case you wouldn't need the online
    help.
What finally helped me to get a basic grasp of the mysteries of style
sheets, etc. was the tutorial: "Adobe Technical Communication Suite
    Getting Started series - Part 3: FrameMaker 8 and RoboHelp7: …" @
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/robohelp. (it runs about an hour and a half).
It explains how to enter and apply custom style sheet settings, mapping,
etc. and should probably clear up your confusion.
The only thing I STILL not certain about though, is what relationship, if
any, template (.htt) files have to do with anything, and whether they
relate to .css files. So i'd appreciate it if another poster can shed some
    enlightenment on that.

  • Is there no User Guide for Premiere Pro CS6?

I am a FCP7 refugee trying to decide between Avid and PP CS6. After waiting for a few weeks for it to be available, I have been lookiig through the PP CS6 Help PDF. I was surprised to see that it is not a complete reference guide documenting the features of the application, but instead a mish-mash of short descriptions, with numerous links to videos, documents from earlier versions, and other external locations where one has to go to get the actual information--not very helpful as a guide to the application. Is there actually no comprehensive user guide from Adobe in a single document or PDF? Or is the only way to get information about the application to navigate through all these disjointed materials?
If there is such a user guide, I would very much like to know where I can find it. If there isn't, I would have to count this as a very big factor in favor of deciding to go with Avid. This is particularly true given the absence of any current third-party books on PPro CS6, although such books are hardly a substitute for a well written and comprehensive user guide, something which is also true of the help PDF.

    Groppler wrote:
Since the links are to the on-line CS6 help and the PDF version of that help, both of which are a collection of materials concerning CS5, CS5.5 and CS6...
Yes, for CS6, new information was added to the CS5/CS5.5 documentation. We had to go this route because we are working with brand new documentation software. There simply was not enough time to integrate the software and complete a whole new set of documentation. Believe me, it was enough of a challenge integrating the old system with the new one--in addition to creating the articles for new features, and the connective tissue between them.
There is only one person that does the docs for Premiere Pro, and that is me. I have limitations and guidelines I must follow, so I hope you understand.
    Groppler wrote:
...with links to external sources you have to go to for information, I guess the answer to my question is that there is no true user guide for Premiere Pro CS6 that one can go to for comprehensive information about the application...
No, this is the Help. It has BOTH the comprehensive details about the software and community content where you can see how people are actually using the software. If the Help is lacking details about any feature, please alert me and I will include those details. I work directly from the engineering documentation and include every detail I can about any feature.
Since my time is limited, I don't always have time to make supplemental materials like video tutorials, or articles. That's why I link to them. The crucial info is included in the docs, the community content is material that I personally approve as helpful and supportive to the documentation.
    Groppler wrote:
...without sorting through irrelevant information or navigating to all these third-party sites to see if they have information you are looking for.
None of the community content is irrelevant. I sort through it all very carefully. Community content is supportive and helpful to users. It should not be necessary to sort through these tutorials as the info should be right in the docs. Community content is supplemental. If you don't find the information you were looking for in the docs themselves, create a comment right on the Help page and I'll see to it that it gets fixed ASAP.
    Groppler wrote:
I am quite surprised by this and think the absence of a real user guide is a significant shortcoming of Premiere Pro, not shared by other products on the market.
It is a real user guide. I'm sorry you don't feel that way. If you want a doc with only Premiere Pro CS6 info in it, I can understand that request. Unfortunately, that was impossible for this round.
If you have any suggestions for the next round of Help documentation, a better place than here would be the Community Help forum. Please voice your concerns there, as the people that actually make decisions about Help are hanging out there.

  • Is there a token for AppVClientConnectionGroup / AppVClientPackage GUID?

    Hi,
maybe a simple question but I can't figure it out. I have a few applications I need to copy a specific INI file to using StartProcess and copy it back afterwards with ExitProcess. It works fine but in the script I manually have to get the localtion of the
VFS for that specific application. An example is '%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS\3ACF30AF-12F8-41B5-9637-D66700DF111A\ProgramFilesX86\<name of the application>. Ofcourse with every application the GUID changes. As I always create a new package,
even for an update, these GUIDS change a lot.
Now I know know I can get PowerShell to retrieve that GUID for me, although I dislike PowerShell for it's execution slowness compared to vbscript for example (and I don't want to discuss that :)). I wonder if there is a token I can use to get the GUID of
package and / or connectiongroup? I currently have the token-list as below, but maybe there are additional tokens?

    OK I hear you.
What might be the easiest way is to create a wrapper for the program that you execute instead of the actual exe.  So when you launch the wrapper, it edits the ini, then runs (with wait) the actual exe, then after the exe exits it revers the ini back.
This is a good use case for exit scripts should be able to run inside the VE.  You should create a suggestion, or if you want to add on I created a post for beefed up scripting (shameless plug found here:
    http://appv.uservoice.com/forums/280448-microsoft-application-virtualization/suggestions/7240266-improve-scripting-options)
When you pass the token to the VBS, does it evaluate as inside path (C:\Program Files) or outside path ('%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS\etc....)?  Just curious, I have only done that once or twice.  I REALLY wish those properties could
be evaluated by some generic API call, or were env variables like 4.6.
Even if you use powershell you can't evaluate the tokens correct?  You just have access to the cmdlets and can 'build' the value of the tokens yourself right?
I want to make sure I'm not doing things the hard way.
mwa.. that's even using more ducttape than just hardcoding the GUID :) Thanks for the suggestion though. I think I'll make a little sub that finds out the actual VFS path. But until then I'll wait for someone to give the hole-grail answer :)
