Is there a hidden screw or latch under the ctrl key to release the keyboard on the HP ENVY dv6-7250?

The keyboard is damaged and I want to replace it.
I have a HP Envy dv6 Notebook PC Model # C2L44UA#ABL with S/N {Content Removed}
i believe the part number is B6R23AV WIN 8 MULTI lANGUAGE 64.1.1 dv6 for the keyboard.
I removed all the screws and separated the top surface that holds the keyboard but something under the ctrl key is holding everything together.
Is there a release mechanism in that area. If so how does it work?

Is there a to access the Alt key screen functions (the quick Eyedrop, (holding Alt and click the color) and the Zoom in and Zoom out (holding alt alt and scrolling with the mouse wheel) with other key instead of alt, for instance the Ctrl key?
It is really annoying to me to deal with it, because in my shortcut configuration I use the keys "Q" and "W" to increace and decrease the size of the brush and the keys "A" and "S" to increase and decrease the hardness of the brush. What happens is that when I hold Alt to pick a color or to zoom, it calls the menu bar's shortcuts (it underlines the menu shortcuts) , so If I do so and press "S" it calls the Select menu, which is not what I'm trying to do.
In Gimp, the pick a color and zoom in and zoom out actions are configured to work with the Ctrl key instead of Alt, so the shortcut menus are not an issue. Is there anyway to switch it to Ctrl? Is there anyway to make the Alt stop calling the menu bar?

Hello, Other than a keyboard remapping software, you might be out of luck.

Is there a way to adjust the Scroll bar? Because when I press the arrows key once it goes straight to the bottom of the page rather than going down gradually.

Before when I pressed the arrow key to navigate up and down the screen it would do it gradually. After I up graded to the current version it now skips down to the very bottom of the page.

Is there a way to Change the Function keys on a bluetooth keyboard for ipad

I just got kensington wireless keyboard for my ipad 2 but the program that i am using dosent allow me to use the function keys instead for volume, brightness ect.

I have had to explain often that no pressure is needed. It's a "touch" screen, not a "press" screen. Most people believe they have to push down hard to make some sort of contact.

My ipad used to open when I'd press the home key on my BT keyboard and any other key on my Ipad. I updated to ios7 and now this is no longer a feature. Is there a way to fix this?

I have a logitech ultraslim bluetooth keyboard and I was wondering if the feature where the Ipad was unlockable solely by the keyboard (not the physical home button on the iPad itself) is still accessible. Don't know, but Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I am using EXCEL 2011 on Yosemite. I have a spreadsheet to keep addresses including emails and websites. I need to update and edit. overtime i click on a cell, it QUICKLY takes ne to an email or Safari. I have been used to having to use <CTR> before following a hyperlink. Can this be set up in a MAC???

Access denied to Aperture backup on external drive. When I hold the comman key adn open aperture to acces a remote drive I receive the message "There was an error opening the database for teh library "/Volumes/VERBATIM HD/Aperture Library BU.aplibrary".

yes, you can drag the library to your internal drive. if it has the same name as your current Aperture library rename it or drag it to a different folder.

You can see the name of the file system on the drive, when you select the drive in the Finder and press the key combination ⌘I (for File > Get Info). The file system will show in the "General" brick of the Info panel.

Is there a reason that the arrow keys appear not to work with the ipad dock? I can understand if the citrix app needs an update (would be great to use with excel) but it also doesn't work with numbers the mac app. Is there a reason they are on the keyboard if they are not for use? Safari they don't do scrolling but really wanted it for use with spreadsheets. Can anyone tell me if I just need to switch on something in settings?

How do i delete my icloud account from a 5s with ios8, there is no Delete Account option under Settings iCloud

I am recycling my 5s and there are instructions from the purchasing company that I need to remove the icloud account. They say go to:
Settings>iCloud>Delete Account
Enter Apple ID password
Then select turn off
This makes no sense to me as the delete option is not there under ios8
But can I achieve the same effect by turning off find my iPhone and then erasing the phone?
This is confusing as I am used to ios7 which does allow you to follow the steps numbered above.

If you updated your ID but your device is still signed into the older version and you sign out to change it, try the troubleshooting steps here: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud. The last one (temporarily recreating the old ID) usually works.

No changes can be made. I am able to run search queries.
Every minute the Application Server Administration job tries and fails to provision the service and logs the event id 6482: Search not provisioned: There is no project Portal_Content mounted under gatherer application <guid>
I've found a few posts online that have solved this by clearing the sharepoint cache, which I've done a number of times without success. A few others re-created search which isn't a real good solution for me since we have a lot of customizations that
would have to be redone.
Restoring from Central Admin backups is a possibility, but without knowing exactly what the problem is, it seems that this approach may cause further problems.
Thoughts anyone? Here's the full event log message

For your issue, try to do the following:
Go to Services, and then reset SharePoint server search accounts (stop/start).
Reset the crawl index (clears the index).
Stop and then start the SharePoint Server Search - Central Administration: stop and then restart the service.
Reset default content access account.

If you have performed a sync with the device since you restored this old backup, then don't bother looking for another backup. iTunes writes over the last backup each time you sync. If you were handling contacts in iCloud, you would find them by logging into iCloud. Or you can check settings and iCloud and see if the button it on for Contacts. Otherwise it might have been on the computer, if you had a program that syncs with iTunes and handles contacts, depending on the computer system you use. If Windows, it would be Windows Contacts or Outlook. If a Mac, there is a Mac Address book as well.

Do you use Outlook or Entourage? If so, that's where all of your emails are stored. If you don't use either of those applications I'd go digging through the folders and see where all the space is tied up. Check the Identifies folders, that's probably where everything is located.
