Is there a LAB to Pantone lookup table/technique

If I know a color's L*A*B values, is there a way I can easily located the nearest Pantone color? I don't currently own any of the books but would buy one if there is one that provides this capability. Maybe it is just me, but I find their produce range bewildering.

I don't even mention the name Pantone in my doc. With a little help
from a friend I found a data base.
Pantone changes the values occasionally a little. Especially there is
some uncertainty about the CMYK represention (which is anyway
only valid for a specific Pantoe process). In any case of doubt define
your CMYK process in Photoshop's Color Settings, define the Spot
color by Lab and read the equivalent CMYK values. Many Spot
colors are out of gamut for sRGB or AdobeRGB (see my doc - if
a number 0 or 255 for R,G,B appears, then the RGB values are
clipped. As well, many Spots cannot be reproduced by any CMYK
system.
D50 is the observer illuminant and the reference for Lab for paper
prints, a convention.
D65 defines the reference white point for some RGB color spaces
like sRGB and AdobeRGB, but not for all:

D65 is mostly used as monitor white. Some people consider it
as a contradiction: monitor D65 - print D50 .
Practically it works - a matter of adaptation (one doesn't view
the monitor and a print side by side).

It's not something I have tried before. Have you tried it, and what's happened?
Basically, copy/pasting tables is a bit of a problem - anywhere. Table formats are different in different circumstances - Excel, HTML, PDF, ...
If you copy a HTML table and paste it into an Excel sheet, the entire table will go into one single cell.
So most likely what you are trying to achieve will not work.

Incorrect Process builds Pantone Color tables in INDD CS6 and CC.

Why are the Pantone Color tables/libraries in INDD CS6 and CC giving the incorrect process builds?

I did just that in CS 5.5 and I received a different build. I got 100C,84.22M,41.89Y and 50.43K this is different than the builds I was getting before and matches neither.
If you want the legacy definitions you have to follow the directions in the link in Peter's #1 post—delete the new PANTONE + spot libraries, install the old libraries and uncheck Use Standard Lab Values for Spots.
They also provided their brand sheet and neither of these match the readings from Illustartor or InDesign.
If you don't want color managed conversions of spot colors Pantone now provides CMYK simulation libraries—PANTONE + Color Bridge. Those colors are process and will attempt to simulate solid spot colors but for one assumed press profile. Color Bridge builds are still different from the legacy CMYK builds.

Is there a way to clean up the Timesheet tables in MS Project 2007 before I migrate to 2013?

I'm attempting to migrate an instance of project server 2007 over to 2013. The problem is that it failes on the convertto process when combining the 4 2010 databases into a single 2013 database.
Reading through the logs it appears to be an issues with an invalid Foreign Key in the MSP_TimesheetProjects table.
On investigation I find that the 2007 Timesheet tables in the Reporting database have a number of invalid entries. We don't use the timesheeting system in that particular instance so there should not be any entries at all. There are however a
couple to projects in the TimesheetProjects table, as well as a few tasks and timesheet lines, even though there don't appear to be any timesheets. I have run a delete on all timesheets in the system, and have rebuild the Reporting database by restoreing
custom fields, but I can't seem to shift them.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate the help.

What I'd suggest would be to refresh the 2007 reporting DB. See the procedure below:
Logon to Project Web Access with Administrator credentials
Select Administrative Backup from the Database Administration secton on the Server
SettingsPage in Project Web Access
In the Items for Backup section of the Backup page,
select the checkbox for Enterprise Custom Fields and then click the Backup button and click the OK button
when prompted by the system
Select Administrative Restore from the Database Administration secton on the Server Settings Page in Project Web Access
Choose Enterprise Custom Fields from the Choose Item selector on the Restore page
Click the Restore button and then click the OK button
when prompted by the system

Is there a restriction on deleting data from an table through a view?

I have an Oracle Forms application where, try as I might, I cannot delete records based on a view. I know that the restriction may be because of Forms but, is there a database level restriction on deleting records through a view?

Is there a way to include the sys.aud$ table in a full database dp export?

I am doing an export using the following parfile information:
userid=/
directory=datapump_nightly_export
dumpfile=test_expdp.dmp
logfile=test_expdp.log
full=y
content=all
However when I run this I do not see the sys.aud$ in the log file. I know I can do a seperate export to specifically get the sys.aud$ table but is there any way to include it in with my full export?

Every quarter I have an automated job that runs that creates a usage/statics report for this person using data in aud$. at the end of the job I export the aud$ table and truncate it. However last quarter I found that there was a mistake in my report and my export did not run properly thus my audit data was gone. i also have full datapump exports that run daily but found that aud$ was not there. so that is why I thought I'd like to include sys.aud$ in the full datapump exports.
i understand why other sys tables would be left out of a full export but aud$ data cannot be reproduced so to me it makes sense to include it in a full export.
don't worry, we run our true backups using rman which is eventually how I got the aud$ data back by creating a copy of my database up until the time of the truncate. however this was quite time consuming.

Is there a way to add rows to a table in a fillable PDF?

I have created a fillable form, but the table I've created only has 9 rows. I'd like to be able to expand the rows on demand. If they're needed, then the user could add rows to the table as needed. It's an expense form, so the rows need to be there when there are multiple expenses, but not there when there are only a few expenses. Any/all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Is there any software which displays all form objects - tables, views, etc?

I need to know if we have some software product which opens an Oracle form and shows all objects (tables, views, procedures, functions, and so on) accessed by it.
For each form, this software should show all operations made in each table - that is, whether form creates, updates, reads or deletes data in each table accessed by the form.
If there's any software which makes such analysis, please let me know. I'd rather be downloading free software, but a trial version or a paid one can be considered as well.

sorry, I don't know whether my 1st message was clear, so I am trying to rewrite it.
I'm thinking about a software which creates a database objects list report; this report shows all database objects being accessed by the form - for example, it can list all tables being accessed by the form, showing a CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) for each accessed table, or list all packages being executed by the same form, and so on. For example:
Form: CLI0001.FMB
Package -> Operation
PCK_ACCOUNTS -> E (Execute; but that's a suggestion, we can have 'R' instead)
Table -> Operation
ACCOUNTS -> CR (Create + Read)
PAYMENTS -> D (Delete)
Sequence -> Operation
SEQ_ACCOUNTS -> R (Read)
View -> Operation
VW_CLIENTES -> R (Read)

Find if there is any common record in two internal tables

I have two internal tables of same structure... say A and B.
I need to know if there are any common lines in them.
one way is to loop in any one of them and keep executing a read on the other.

To find common records in two internal tables, they can be compared
If INT_DATA1 EQ INT_DATA2.
endif.
The first criterion for comparing internal tables is the number of lines they contain. If two internal tables contain the same number of lines, they are compared line by line, component by component.
If the internal tables contain the same number of records and are sorted on the same key, the comparison stops at the line where the records are not common. For example, if the number of common records is 4, the comparison stops at the 5th line and sy-tabix becomes 5.

Is there way to alphabetize a list without a table?

I have to find a way. My list has stars in them, so when I revert the table back to text, the stars font "menlo" turns into "helvetica", making the stars huge and annoying. If there was a way to just alphebetize without a table coming in, it would be nice to know and make things much faster.

Download and install Word Services.
It has sorting as one of many functions.
