Are there any trial versions of quicktime pro 7 ?

After bying i new camera i found out it produces mp 4 that can´t be imported to either Iphoto or Imovie. However they opens in quicktime. I have tried testversions of ImTOO videconverter Ultimate 6 and Bigasoft movie converter and they successfully converted the files and made them importable to Iphoto and Imovie.
My question is does quicktime pro 7 have the same function? Are there trialversions anywhere.

There is no "trial" version of the Pro upgrade.
Have you tried the new version of QuickTime Player (10.1) found on the Lion OS?
It has a lot of new features not found in the Snow Leopard (10) version.

2.— CS6 (Photoshop 13.x) is still being sold and it is the last perpetual-version of Photoshop to be sold, forever. New versions are by subscription only.
3.— Photoshop CC (Photoshop 14.x) has already been superseded by Photoshop CC2014 (Photoshop 15.x).
4.— The 30 day trial of Photoshop CS6 13.0 is available as a free download to anybody who wants to try it. You should be able to find it in this web site, but if you're having trouble finding it:

Trial version is out of date. When will 10.0.7 be available for trial?

I'm using the trial version (10.0.6) and found a bug burning single layer DVDs, also reported and discussed extensively on this forum.
Supposedly this is fixed in 10.0.7 (or so the release notes claim) But I'm understandably skeptical.
I'd like to TRY before I BUY this $300 software package.
Q1: Does anybody know how to upgrade the trial to the latest version? I still have 22 days left in my trial.
Q2: If that's not possible, does anyone know Apple's plans.. are they going to update the FCPX 30-day trial webpage to 10.0.7 anytime soon?
Oh, by the way, Please don't suggest buying CompressorX for $49.99 as a work-around. FCPX is supposed to be able to do this rather simple job itself. But there is a bug. The whole point of the trial is to see if the software works. Currently the answer is NO, so I'm not going to fork over 50 bucks for some other piece of software based on Apple saying "trust us, THIS software DOES work (even though you can't test it yourself prior to purchase)." That is a non-starter.

Hi Russ, thanks for responding.
Here you go: I'm not an expert, so this may be more info than necessary, but I'm trying to answer all questions in advance.
I'm using video files from two different HD cameras, both shot in 1080i (1920X1080, 29.97i), stereo sound @ 48Khz. Each contains their own audio-track from the on-camera audio.
I imported all the clips with the "create optimized media" box checked to create pro-res 422 files for editing.
I synched them manually into multi-cam clips using a slate (which was fortunate because the difference in sound levels meant that FCPX's attempt to auto-synch failed), and cut & edited them into a completed project.
I know that DVD resolution is not HD, but I wanted the best original source material so I shot and edited in HD anyway. I know FCPX will compress the final result down to DVD resolution, and that's cool.
The completed project is 1 hour 50 minutes long. I added 68 chapter markers. (the project is for a school talent show which had 68 acts) Editing went fine and I'm happy with the finished project. My fellow parents are anxious to see the finished DVD.
So, after a week's work, I'm now trying to create the DVD image on my hard drive, for later burning to disks.
From FCPX, I'm selecting File>Share>DVD.
In the DVD window, the "info" tab is giving me an estimated size of 3.84GB.
This should fit on a standard single-layer DVD-R (capacity 4.7G (4.38gig), or 2+ hours of video)
There is no option to change any of the "info" settings, it's just standard DVD resolution (720X480, Stereo 48Khz, time 1:50:17:06, 2 files)
I click "settings" tab and choose these settings including "single layer":
Output Device: Hard Drive
Layers: Single-layer
Disk Template: Black
When Disk Loads: Show menu
Markers: checked "Use Chapter Markers as subtitles"
Background: [a 970kb JPG still image]
Clicking next and specifying an external hard drive with 1+TB of free space, FCPX goes to work, and, after about 50 minutes, creates a finished DVD image file that is.... 6.7G's.
Whoops! too big to fit on a single layer DVD.
So, what am I doing wrong?
I sure hope the problem is me rather than the software, but I doubt it, since the same problem has been reported on these forums here, here, here, and here.
All previous posters reported the problem arising in 10.0.6, the same version Apple offers as a trial. The 10.0.7 version release notes state "Fixes an issue that could occur when creating a single layer DVD." But I can't get a trial of the 10.0.7 to test this.
The work-arounds which were posted in response to those earlier forum posts were either to use a dual-layer disc (non-starter, as most parents will want to watch these DVDs on their stand-alone DVD players hooked up to their TV, most of which won't play dual-layer media) or export a master file then use Compressor X. (which supposedly works but there's no trial version to verify this and I'm not up for spending 50 bucks to find out.)
So, can you help me? I sure hope I'm doing something wrong because I really want this to work.

I bought my wife a Lenovo G3560 for Christmas. In attempting to set up the computer, I was instructed to enter the product key from an enclosed card to activate the trial version of Microsoft Office.
There was no card.
On the first attempt to get phone help from Lenovo, I couldn't seem to get the person on the phone to understand I was trying to activate a trial version of Office.
On the second attempt, my son (who is a bit more computer-savvy than I), phoned, and was told there is no trial version, we have to purchase a key for the full version from Microsoft.
On the third attempt, I requested a supervisor. While I was on hold, I finally figured out that the information on the computer was wrong. No card is needed -- the trial version opens after hitting Start, then "all programs" and then scrolling down to "Microsoft Office Starter." Why this information was not provided is unclear. Why clearly incorrect information was provided is utterly mysterious.
By the way, the Lenovo spell checker does not recognize the word "Lenovo."
This is my first day with a Lenovo product. It does not auger well.

There are no keys, there is no trial version of OSX (ML or Mavericks) and Mavericks is free

Why is the Adobe Download Assistant so small and NOT functional? I want to download a trial version of Acrobat Standard XI to no avail???

What's wrong with the Download Assistant? Does it really need to exist? Another layer that wastes more time that Adobe's luck they're not paying for... Why isn't Acrobat XI standard trial available?

Adobe doesn't offer trial versions of the Acrobat.com online subscriptions. But, if you try it out and find that it's not what you are looking for, you can cancel within the first 30 days for a full refund.
We do offer 30-days trials of Acrobat, however, so maybe that's where you saw the free trial message. You can download the Acrobat Pro trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

Appleworks as a Trial Version?

Last August I bought my son a Mac Mini as a wedding gift. At the time I thought Appleworks was standard with it. I just found out that it seems that the included version only came with a 30 day trial and he is now locked out of it until he purchases it. Is this true? I thought Appleworks was included as a normal everyday application. I have an IBook and it is not this way. I have seen some posts regarding this problem that seem to indicate that the user is somehow being redirected to MS Office instead of Appleworks. Is this a possibility when trying to use Appleworks? If so how does one rectify it. He is the only user, so there is only one account.

there's no trial version of Appleworks, and no serial
number, either. It sounds to me like his .cwk
documents have somehow got associated with Word or
Pages. To fix this, click on the icon of a .cwk file,
press command+ i for the Get info window, change Open
With to Appleworks, then Change All.
EDIT Also, make sure that Appleworks is actually
installed. On some computers it's on the restore disc
but not preinstalled. On my new imac, it was
preinstalled, but after I erased and ran software
restore, it didn't automatically put Appleworks back.
I had reinstall it separately.
Neither of us is very familar with the Apple OS system yet as we are switchers. How does he get to an icon of a .cwk file? Does he use finder?

Is there a trial version of Leopard Server?

We are seriously considering building a Leopard server at the company I work for. With that being said we would really like to test it for a couple weeks to see if it can do everything we want it to, all without having to buy the $500 license.
Does Apple offer any sort of trial version of Leopard Server?

Members of the Apple Consultants Network can install a trial version for clients. Contact a member of the Apple Consultants Network, and make sure they have access to the Apple Sales Web, because that's where you download the Leopard Server trial.
The current trial expires at the end of January, 2008.
