Is there a limit in the history length of a photograph?

I wonder if there is any limit in the number of steps the history of a photograph can hold...

I'm guessing something like 256???

None that I know off. But why are you asking? Did you notice any performance problems or problems to render the slideshow? Then it would help to know more about your hardware RAM, disk, CPU ..
If you already encountered problems, you may wish to have a look at this thread - although it relates to Aperture 3, not 2:
Is there a limit on the number of photos you can use in an Aperture slideshow?
And as I said in that thread:
I'd expect the limiting factor to the length of a slide show to be the patience and "Good Will" of your intended audience

Write as little or as much as you think will describe what you book is about.
I imagine you are telling your friends about the book and what you tell them to describe and explain your book.
Now write it as your description.
Or go to the bookstore and download samples from similar books and look how their authors described them.

  • Is there a limit to the number of email addresses in one message?

    Hello
Is there a limit to the number of email addresses in one message with Mac Mail?
I am trying to send out to c900 email addys and am being told my server does not recognise the email addresses. I will check with the folks hosting the email also.
    Many thanks
    Matthew Causon

Ooh, yes, 900 emails at once will absolutely not work (unless you get very very lucky).
If this is just a one-off, you should group the addresses into, at the very most, 50 addresses, and send batches. If you're doing this a lot, I would recommend using something like DirectMail.

  • Is there a limit to the number of addresses can I put into a group of multiple users in my address book?

I have just started using Thunderbird and want to set up a number of list groups in my Address Book so that I can simply click on the list name and the email goes to multiple people.
Is there a limit to the number of addresses that I can put into each group? Or, can I put as many addresses into each group as I want to? Thanks for your answer.

    Thunderbird has no limit.

  • In my Mail program (4.6), OS10.6.8, can I send bulk email bcc? If so is there a limit to the number of names/addresses that I can send?

In my Mail program (4.6), OS10.6.8, can I send bulk email bcc? If so is there a limit to the number of names/addresses that I can send?

To add the BCC field to the message window, create a new message, click the 'three lines' button near the to and from fields & select the 'BCC Address field' or choose the 'customise' option. This button may be a 'gear' on the older OS (I don't recall for 10.6.8 Mail).
The BCC field is more likely to be limited by the email server than Mail app. If you add hundreds of addresses (or use large groups with many addresses) the email server may assume you are sending spam. Sometimes it causes the server to drop the message or bounce them, different providers also have different rules, so you need to use bcc & ccc with care.
If you plan on doing mass mailing you would be better with a service that handles it correctly for you (i.e. sends multiple messages without using ccc or bcc).

  • Is there a limit to the number of Apple TV's attached to an iTunes Library

I recently replaced 7 (seven) Version 1 Apple TV's with Version 3 Apple TV's and noticed that I now receive an error, "Cannot connect to the iTunes Library, ensure that you are on the same network, etc." on two of the Apple TV's. Shutting down iTunes and relaunching results in two others not being able to connect, but two of the previous non-connects now do. I've tried this several times and each time it appears as if only 5 of the ATV's can connect at once. Is this a limit imposed upon by Apple? Is there any workaround besides having two of the "non-connects" access the iTunes store for purchased content? The library is extensive and contains a lot of purchased content, but also contains legacy content from old CD's, DVD's and the like. I'd like to be able to access all of it if possible.
Note that the way this used to work with the older ATV's was that 2 would directly sync and 5 would stream. But with each new iteration of iTunes these ATV's seemed to get flakier and flakier hence the replacement. The new ATV's are all connected via Home Sharing.
I'm running iTunes 11.0.2 on a Mac Mini OS X Server (10.6.8). Would it help to upgrade to the latest OS?  I can understand bandwidth issues, but we're running a Gigabit ethernet (wired) network to these ATV's and the old ones worked fine previously. Why impose this limit? Come on Apple. Give us a little love for those of us that push your tech to the limit.

  • Is there a limit on the number of Key Lookups against a table in a mapping

I'm using OWB 11.1 and have a mapping with 15 Key Lookups against the one table. When I Validate the mapping it objects to a Key Lookup not being connected, even thuogh in the mapping all the Key Lookups have been renamed to their relevant fields?
Is there a limit to the number of key lookups against the one table?

    Thanks for the replys.
I'm getting a validation error, so can't run the mapping. Error VLD-1108: Operator Key_LOOKUP is not properly connected.
The issue is solved, after checking each of the Key_Lookups, one was not connected to an output. The error occurs if an output field isn't used (connected to) a table or other operator.

  • Is there a limit in the number of user accounts on Mavericks?

    Hi
I would like to create a system with a lot of user accounts (+/- 200).
    I have two questions:
    - Is there a limit in the user accounts on Mavericks? Where can I find more infomation about this?
    - Is there a possibility to automatically create a high number of accounts? Or at least some sort of template?
    Huge thanks for any help.

I don't think that there is a limit.
Are you using OS X Maverics Server?

In many organizations, a single shared directory domain is adequate. It can handle hundreds of thousands of users and thousands of computers sharing the same resources, such as printer queues, share points for home directories, share points for applications, and share points for documents.

Why can I no longer add photos my iPhoto book? Is there a limit to the number of photos? Must I delete unused photos?

This is book # 13 and I've not encountered this problem before. I am dragging photos into the sourse pane but they are not imported. I have other books w/ over 700  pics (not all used) but this has only 300+ so far. I've copied the book to a pdf and it looks as if I'll have to redo it unless there's another solution.

  • HT204053 Is there a limit to the number of devices I can have on one account.  I have all two of my kids ipods, plus, mine, an ipad, and my iphone, and need to add one more.  I do this so that I have control over and can see what they are downloading.

Is there a limit to the number of devices I can have on one account.  I have been putting my kids' ipods on my account so that I can manage their downloads, and control it.  Then I just create playlists for them specifically.  Now, adding another one for my youngest, but have no idea if there are limits.

Well the part about putting songs in the "iTUnes Music" folder I only brought up because it seemed you liked things very organized. You could use iTunes to so all the organizeing. Plus once you add something to the iTUnes library, if you change ANYTHING about it in windows explorer, like its name, change the name of the folder its in or move it to another folder, iTUnes "Looses Track" of it. Its not like other programs that "Watch" files and folders for changes outside its "iTUnes Music" folder
But to have iTUnes auto search, you have to delete a hidden pref file. After doing this, when you open iTUnes again it will throw up a setup wizard, just like its the first time ever installing it. Its in this wizard where you get your ONLY chance to have iTUnes auto search and add files from the system. Just goto the link below and follow Scott P's steps

  • Is there a limit to the number of Apps you can download to your iPod touch?

I just downloaded a batch of new free apps the the App store to my Mac and then synced my iPod and it showed in the progress bar that it was transferring the new Apps to my iPod but when I checked it most on the new Apps weren't on there. Is there a limit to the number of pages you get on the iPod to add new Apps? I actually have 9 pages full now and if the other apps I downloaded are on the iPod where would I find them?
They are a nightmare to reorganise into groups on the same pages.
    Thanks
    Kevin

9 pages of apps is a LOT, though I have to admit, I'm about halfway there.
It doesn't affect how many are SOLD/downloaded... it only affects how many can be used at ONE TIME.
But you see, will you actually be using ALL 9 pages worth of apps at the same time? Not likely. And as time goes by, you'll find some apps aren't as useful as you thought. While others prove too useful and end up replacing a few others.
For example, there are dedicated Facebook, LiveJournal, MySpace, etc apps. But if you don't do anything specific, and only blog, you could use one of the third party apps that allows you to blog to most, if not all of them from the same app.
Do you need a separate app for football, then basketball and baseball, if all you do is see who won? Again, there are other apps that'll give scores for more than one sport... and even include various stats (RBIs, TDs, etc).
Of the 80+ apps I've downloaded, I've flat out deleted from my computer a handful (cause they stink). And I've "put in reserve" a few others (sort of useful).
Yes, I agree, there needs to be an easier way to organize them.

  • DeserializeJSON - is there a limit on the size of the JSON data that can be converted?

I have some valid JSON data that's being converted successfully by DeserializeJSON... until it gets to a certain size, or that's certainly what appears to be happening.  The breaking point seems to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 35,000 characters... about 35KB.  When the conversion fails, it fails with a "JSON parsing failure: Unexpected end of JSON string" message.  And when the conversion fails, the JSON data is deemed to be valid per tools like this one:  http://www.freeformatter.com/json-validator.html.
So, is there a limit on the size of the JSON data that can be converted by DeserializeJSON?
    Thanks!

    Thanks Carl.
The JSON is being submitted in its entirety, confirmed by Fiddler.  And it's actually being successfully saved to a SQL Server nvarchar(MAX) field too.  I can validate that saved JSON.
I'm actually grabbing the JSON to convert directly from the SQL Server, and your comments / thoughts led me down the path of resolution.
Turns out that the JSON was being truncated prior to getting to the DeserializeJSON command, but it was the cfquery pull that was doing the truncating.  The fix was to enable "long text retrieval (CLOB)" for this datasource in CF Admin.  I'd never run into that before or even knew that this setting existed.
    Thanks again for your comments!

  • Is there a limit on the size of the input for the Solve Linear Equations block?

    Hello,
I'm trying to figure out why the Solve Linear Equations block will properly function with some sets of data and why it won't with others. What my program is doing is taking a signal and comparing it with a batch of sine and cosine waves to try and pick out patterns in the data. I have different sample sizes and it seems to work when I throw 3900 points at it. However, I have another set with 4550 points and it gives me incorrect amplitudes for my sinusoids.  Is there some limit to the size of the matrices that I can give this block? Or is there some other workaround that still allows me to keep all of my data?
    Thanks,
    David Joseph

Well, the best way to show what I expect is to see the entire program. It's pretty evident that when looking at the graphs, something isn't right. What is supposed to happen is that the runout amplitudes are found, and then those sinusoids are subtracted from the initial data, leaving tooth to tooth data and noise. When I use the larger arrays, it seems as though not all of the data gets through (count the peaks on the product gear runout graph vs. initial) and the amplitudes are much to small, such that nothing is really taken out and the tooth to tooth data looks like the initial data.
Also, we will also be using an FFT, but it will be limited to only determining the frequencies we should check. I've fought with the fft blocks quite a bit and I just prefer to not use them. Plus, the guy I'm writing this for wants exact answers and does not want to pad or resample the data or use windows.
The exact number of data points isn't important (ie. 4550 vs 4551) since I use the array size block to index the for loop.
As for typical values, they can change a lot based on materials. But, the original 3900 data point sets and the 4550 data point sets used practically identical gears. So, use the original 3900 sets I've included as references (check the RO array block numbers to compare).
I've included 3 3900 samples, 3 4550 samples, and 3 4550 samples that have been truncated to 3900 or so as constants on the block diagram.
Also, the check for additional runouts (like 3 per rev, 4 per rev, etc..) is optional, but if you choose to use it, use positive integers only.
I don't know how much of this program will make sense and I have wires running everywhere.. so good luck. Keep in mind I'm only a student and I hadn't touched Labview until about 2 or 3 months ago.
    Thanks,
    David Joseph
