Is there a limit to how many USB/Fire devices you can connect?

I don't like the idea of having limited USB/Firewire inputs as I plan on having a ...
1). USB audio interface for Logic Express
2). USB connector for both an HD camcorder and a Nikon camera (although I most likely will switch between the two)
3). digitizing tablet
4). at least two external Firewire backup drives
5). scanner
6). printer (although that's connected to my Base Station)
Will I "overload" or cause problem with my computer?
Thanks!

Kind of even smells like diapers....
I picked up one of these Belkin MyEssentials 7 ports at Staple's, it has 4 ports on the back, 2 on top and 1 in the front.

My next choice probable would have been the following Cables to Go 7 port.

Shop around there are plenty of huskier designs out there!

  • Is there a Limit in how many or combined size you can queue before sending?

    For many years my application has queued emails with a pdf attached and the SendTo completed. We use OLE to do this. But now a number of users have complained that if the queue is around the 40-50 generated, only 23-25 will open ready to send. They
    are queued so the user can insert pertinent information into the body of each email and send. I can count the emails being generated and verify the count as being say 45 but when opened to send there will only be around 23-25 available. Does Outlook 2010 have
    a limit on the total size al all emails ready to send? eg 20mb or something? Each of the pdf's generated will be in the range of 120k to 800k in size depending on contents.
    Thanks

    I don't aware of such an limitation on Outlook side.
    The only limits that I know is that your mail service provider might restrict the number of messages sent per hour/day and the number of recipients per message.

  • Is there a limit to how many Ipods one downloaded song can be loaded on?

    I just got an Ipod Nano for Christmas and I'm new to this. Everyone in my family has one now and we want to share our music. If I download a song from Itunes, how many Ipods can I put it on? I'm sure there is a limit, I just needed to know how many.
    Thanks!!!

    Again (sorry for slightly changing the point of this thread!) but out of curiosity....if you change the import encoding rate (like you can in iTunes) in WMP to their closest equivalent of Apple Lossless would that still cause the imported CD to lose more sound quality or would it be the same as it is on the CD? I was curious because the other day I imported a friends CD into my iTunes but right before I did it I switched my importing to Apple Lossless (something I had never used). I did this only because I wanted to burn a copy of the CD since I had lost mine years ago and you can't find it in a store or online to save your life! My assumption was that the sound quality would be the same as opposed to it being how I usually did it (AAC 128). With it being an old CD (13 years old) I didn't really want the quality lowered. I noticed that WMP also has something along the lines of Apple Lossless in their import choices. Again, sorry to turn this thread into an education thread!

  • Is there a limit to how many forms a BC site can have?

    I'm sure that the answer to this is 'there is no limit'. But I've just been asked the question and I can't find any definitive answer.

    It's 50 for a trial site. No limit for a paid site.

  • Is there a limit to how many concurrent URLRequest's I can initiate?

    I have an app that when it starts loads up about 200 small gif images from the web server.  Code looks something like this:
    for each (myValueObject in myarray) {
         var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest(myValueObject.getImageURL());
         var imageLoader:Loader = new Loader();
         imageLoader.load(req);
         myValueObject.setImageLoader(imageLoader);
    This worked fine in testing for a few dozen images.  But now I'm running it with about 200 images, and about half the images load fine but the other half I get an error:
    Error 2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent.
    Each time I run it, different images succeed and fail.  This gives me the sense that I have somehow reached a limit on either the number of concurrent URLRequest threads that Flash can run, or the number of concurrent HTTP requests that the image server can handle... or maybe there is a timeout on Loader that I can make longer?
    Thanks.

    I'm not sure on the limit, but I would probably load them in succession, instead of all at once. One way to go about it would be to set a loadCounter variable to 0 - then call a function that loads myArray[loadCounter]  - when complete, increment loadCounter  - if it's still less than myArray.length call the loading function again.

  • Is there a limit to how many times you can extend a WiFi Network?

    I assume there is a limit based on the number of IPs available but is there a limit to how many times a WiFi network can be extended or is there a limit to how many Airport Extremes can talk to each other?
    I know this probably not a concern of the average home user but if you wanted to deploy these in a large building or even a very large piece of property, what's the upper limit?
    I already have 3 Airport (n) routers and I was thinking of adding two more. Will i hit a physical limit or just a point of diminishing returns?

    Can you clerify by what you mean when you say "remotes" sorry for my ignorance. but just trying to understand.
    A remote WDS node is connected to a main or base WDS node wirelessly.
    A base WDS node is connected by wire to the interenet.
    A relay WDS node relays or passes the wireless signal from a base WDS node to a remote WDS node.
    Clients connect to either the base or remote nodes. A relay node can be configured to accept connections from clients as well.
    Also This reduction in half is this a limitation be design? Is this caused by the limit in channels or is there some sort or mechanism in place? just curious.
    Think about how the remote WDS node needs to communicate with both the base station and the wireless client at the same time, so the available bandwidth is effectively halved as half is used by the remote to connect with the client and the other half is used to connect with the base node.
    It's not quite the same as two wireless clients on an individual base station as they would rarely be using the full bandwidth at the same time.

  • Is there a limit on how many times I can install my CS5?

    I own CS5 and have it installed on 2 computers. I need to upgrade my computers and am wondering if I am going to have any trouble installing CS5 onto new machines. Is there a limit on how many times I can install the program? Do I have to verify ownership first or what?

    I believe the limit on how any times an application can be installed has been removed, but, as it stands, there is no limit to the number of installations you can have... just the number of activated installations.  For what it sounds like you are doing, there is should not be an issue of hitting a limit even if there is one.
    If you are reinstalling on new machines then you probably want to deactivate the current installations before you attempt to activate on the new machines.

  • Is there a limit as to how many devices you can connect with Edge Inspect?

    Is there a limit as to how many mobile devices you can connect with Edge Inspect?
    Also, do we need a dedicated wi fi hub for all these devices? Are there any wi fi limitations with connecting more than 20 devices and connecting to wi-fi?
    Thanks

    The free version of Edge Inspect limits you to connecting to one device concurrently. (You can certainly disconnect from that one and connect to another if you wish, but it's just one at a time.)
    If you purchase an Edge Inspect subscription, or have a paid Creative Cloud membership, then you can connect an unlimited number of devices concurrently. (Note that I have seen up to 35 connected at once.)
    For info on purchasing options, see this blog post: http://blogs.adobe.com/edgeinspect/2012/10/23/how-to-purchase-edge-inspect/
    It does not have to be a decicated wifi router, although it certainly can if that makes sense for you. For example, at my home I have a single wifi router that I always use for my laptops and video streaming devices, with my desktop computer connected to the same router on Ethernet, and I can connect my 5 tablets and 2 mobile phones to Edge Inspect on the same router with no issues.
    My router says it can support up to 250 connections at once (Ethernet + wifi); however, I have nowhere near that many devices so I could not put that to the test. I think a more reasonable limit is around 30; however, that is just based on having to share bandwidth. You might want to check what your router says is its limit.
    Just keep in mind that the more devices you have downloading data, the slower the performance will be.

  • Is there a limit to how many apps we can reserve?

    Since iTunes Connect doesnt allow us to delete an app without at least one approved version. So is there any limit to how many apps we can reserve?
    Can we just check the name availability without reserving it?

    Thank you. I've been searching everywhere and I couldn't find anything the mentioned it. I appreciate the feedback!

  • Is there a limit to how many songs you can have on the offline mode?

    I am trying to get all my albums to sync with my phone and be available offline but It keeps on saying that I have selected too many tracks for the offline mode. Is there a limit to how many songs you can have?Thanks :)

    Spotify applies a limit of 3,333 tracks but everything is dependent on your phones on-board memory
    as Spotify actually copies the tracks to it so you don't need internet connection.
    My Galaxy S2 has 11 odd GB and I filled it with 1800 tracks (albeit some were 20 - 30 mins).
    Also check if you use on-board memory for photos etc. 'cos Spotify will use a lot of it.
    I have asked them to look at this and maybe give warnings about Spotify's memory usage rather
    than the number of tracks.

  • Is there a limit to how many AExp that can be streamed to at once?

    Hi Guys and Girls
    Have been looking at the Sonos system for a while now but I wonder if multiple AE would be a cheaper alternative?
    Is there a limit to how many Airport Express units can be streamed to at once? The house is quite large and I would like to have about 8 AExpress with powered speakers attached and play the same music to them all at once... I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is limited to 3 but it wasn't an Apple website and I can't find any official information regarding limits!
    Any help?

    Bob - thanks for advice.
    Back to revisiting this issue after trying to address some other things.
    I added as an html article but that didn't resolve the problem. In a browser the html renders left aligned. In DPS I am able to swipe to the previous article, but not the next. Not sure if DPS is interpreting that there is more content to the right (even though it is actually dead space beyond my 768px width target.
    From another discussion thread it seems to be a jQuery issue. Not sure if there is a jQuery function I can drop into Muse or exported files that will resolve this. I posted my question there as well, but it is an older thread.
    The other question/assumption I had was...I assume that when I add as HTML article all my interaction has to be handled in the HTML because it essentially bypasses InDesign an the ability to use DPS overlays.

  • Is there a limit to how many files bridge can view at one time?

    Our company works with high volumes of images and we would like to use Bridge to organize, search, and view these images prior to working on them in Adobe Photoshop/Premiere ETC..  Is there a limit to how many files that Bridge can handle at one time?  We have hundreds of thousands of videos and photos.

    Many have found that using more then 5000 files per folder can slow down performance but this depends on system resources (fast processor and much RAM). However Video is not always the strongest point of Bridge as it seems due to some other posts.
    And since you talk about a company, you have to be aware that Bridge is not designed nor official supported for use over a network. A dedicated DAM like Canto Cumulus or Portfolio Server might be more suitable for this tasks but they also come with a price I'm afraid.

  • Is there a limit to how many IP addresses can be allocated by an iPhone 4 for tethering?

    In order to activate 30x iPods, I had to try to tether them one by one to my iPhone 4. I would tether one, activate it, switch it off totally (my data provider only allows 1 or 2 tethers at the same time), then move on to the next one. Unfortunately, this only worked properly around 9 - 10 times. After this, although new devices would appear as tethered on the iPhone, they would not be allocated an IP address by the phone and so could not get Internet access (they reverted to APIPA addresses). I could not then tether anything else to the phone that hadn't already been joined. The only cure I found was to totally restore the iPhone.
    Is there a limit to how many IPs can be allocated by the iPhone 4?
    Are these allocations time-limited, so I can re-use addresses after a period of time without having to restore the phone?

    Are those photos or videos in your camera roll? or in shared albums or photostream?
    You can only import photos from camera roll.
