Is there a log for logins?

I want to establish multiple accounts on one computer and want to find out if as an admin I can keep track of who's been on the computer and for how long? Is this possible with panther and/or tiger? Thanks.

Hi,
There are multiple ways to do this. But, if you make the Accounts, and they are non-Administrator, you will be able to not only see how long they were on, but where they went and what they did... all in the System Log (In the Apple Menu > More Info > System Log). You will have a nano-second by nano-second log of who, what, where and how, plus if they tried to cover their trail. Go and give it a look, it tracks the Administrator too. The Console Log is more brief.
Onyx (the free maintenance program from VersionTracker) also can run you a report of only times, if you want; among misc other things that it can do.

Q<general> Are there seperate logs for web services?
A<general> It does not appear that there are any separate logs for web services.
There is knex.log file that records the errors that occur during deployment of
your .jws files. There is also the standard server log that provides information
about server status - you can write to this programmatically if you wish. There
is also the access.log file which record all the HTTP requests so this might cover
some of your web service requests that are transmitted over HTTP.

Maybe the user has deniad Access to the Runbook, check in Runbook Designer.

  • Log for Change of Real-Time Load Behavior

    Hi experts,
is there a log for the change of the real-time load behavior?
I checked SLG1, but I did not find any object / subobject that seemed to be helpful.

    Firstly,
How are you changing the real-time load behavior, are you using any process chain variant,in that case you can look at the process chain log..

  • Log for Exports?

Is there  a log for when you export directly inside Premiere?  I know where it is in the Media Encoder, but where is it in Premiere itself?  I mainly want to see exactly how long a render took if I'm not sitting there watching the counter.

    Hello Igor,
Thank you for asking this question.
The Automated Export service creates a database copy of the database you are exporting. It then will perform the export operation on the copy of the database. This is done to guarantee transaction consistency during the export. After the export has completed
the database copy will be deleted.
You can learn more about Import/Export and Automated Export here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/hh335292.aspx
Additionally if you are interested in our Basic, Standard, or Premium service tiers, they come with built-in restore capabilities.
You can learn more about these capabilities and other business continuity capabilities here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/hh852669.aspx
If you would like to share more about your scenario or discuss Azure SQL Database's backup and restore capabilities in further detail please email me at Elfish at Microsoft dot com.
Thanks and I hope this helps,

  • Activity Log for iTunes

    Hi all,
I know there are crash logs for some apps and there's one for iTunes. I am trying to track songs I've deleted and added in iTunes. So, is there a log for iTunes which tracks adds/changes/deletes?

There's no such log for iTunes, unfortunately. The only log for iTunes you'll find on your system is a crash log if the application crashes.

  • Is there a log where OS X records timestamps of sleep start and stop similar like uptime but for sleep mode?

    Hi all,
I would like to record the activity of my Mac and see for how long it was running. Is there a log where the Mac sleep and restart are tracked as in the uptime command? So when I close the lid and open the lid?
    Thx
    Nic

If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:
    sudo pmset -g log | sed '/UUID/d;50q'
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. Confirm. You don't need to post the warning. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.

  • Is There a Way to Run a Redo log for a Single Tablespace?

I'm still fairly new to Oracle. I've been reading up on the architecture and I am getting the hang of it. Actually, I have 2 questions.
    1) My first question is..."Is there a way to run the redo log file...but to specify something so that it only applies to a single tablespace and it's related files?"
So, in a situation where, for some reason, only a single dbf file has become corrupted, I only have to worry about replaying the log for those transactions that affect the tablespace associated with that file.
    2) Also, I would like to know if there is a query I can run from iSQLPlus that would allow me to view the datafiles that are associated with a tablespace.
    Thanks

No You can't specify a redolog file to record the transaction entries for a particular tablespace.
In cas if a file gets corrupted.you need to apply all the archivelogs since the last backup plus the redologs to bring back the DB to consistent state.

The above will give you the number of datafiles that a tablespace is made of.
In your case you have created the tablespace iwth one datafile.

Notes: The RSS feed of the podcast works just fine. When I enter the podcast URL into the firefox bar, I am prompted and am able to access the page. The problem is with iTunes not giving me the prompt.

Thanks for the advice. In my case, it is sufficient to '''uncheck''' " Saved passwords".
('''''Preferences -> Privacy -> Clear History when Firefox closes -> Settings -> Saved Passwords''''').
    Great to have Sync. :)

  • Is there a log I can check for internal messages not beingrecieved?

We are using sendmail in an internal VB script. My boss is not getting emails sent to her from this script.
Is there a log I can view (similar to the GWIA log for external messages) that will tell me if the Groupwise system even tried to process it?
Because I am using a script and not the client, I cannot check the sent status. (I think...)

First of all you'd be better learning pure object api rather than
    shelling out.
Second of all, were you using object api it would generate sent item. I
    think sendmail avoids this.
Third of all, the only other way to trace is have the POA on verbose
logging and see what happens. Obviously easier to interpret off hours.

Not easily, no. The better solution would be to put a passcode on the phone.

  • Is there a reviewable change log for Creative Cloud updates

This morning I received a Creative Cloud notification: "A new version of Creative Cloud is available. Update now?". Is there a log that tells us what has been modified so we know what is being installed? I prefer to know whats going on with my machine than just accepting any and all action buttons.
Thanks in advance for your help.
