No there's not. You could always check in the app store.

  • Ibook - low level battery warning

    hello:
all of a sudden the low level battery warning indicator stopped working. i checked the system profile and it informed me that it's not on. how do i turn this back on, again.
please help. this is more of an annoyance than anything.
    thanks.
    -angela

My understanding is that it indicates the current status of the indicator. In other words, if your battery is charged and the iBook is running off of it, there is no low level warning.
If, though, you run the battery down on a given cycle and you've received the low level battery warning-- then it will say Yes!
At least that's what I've found out reading on these boards and on line. I just made the very same discovery you did about this and was curious.
I was checking it out because, oddly, I'm not getting the low level battery warning any more-- and with, supposedly 30 minutes or so left, the iBook will suddenly shut OFF entirely--no warning-- and that means losing anything that's not been saved!
Haven't figured out what's with that... my battery cycles are only 187 way below the number expected... the Full Charge Capacity (mAh), however, is only 1689mAh instead of the NEW 4400.
Anyone have some suggestions? I reset PRAM which did not work, power cycled the battery, which did not work, and have recently reset the PMU. I haven't run it down again, so let's see if the PMU tip/trick works!

  • Is there a VI which reads audio signals off optical SPDIF port?

    Hi,
I am trying to capture audio signals from a DAT unit on to the computer's hard drive. Could you please tell me how can I read these signals off an optical SPDIF port using Labview and save the streamed data as a wav file? I am using an audio capturing interface called the Edirol UA-5 to transfer the audio signals from the DAT unit to the Mac's hard drive.
    Thanks,
    Bhuvana

    Hi Bhuvana,
There are not any VIs in LabVIEW designed specifically for SPDIF.  There is, however, a tutorial on reading an SPDIF signal using LabVIEW FPGA.  You may also be interested in this thread which discusses the use of a digital data acquisition board and the rate needed to read an SPDIF signal.

  • Bad battery on my iphone 6 plus ios 8.2?

hi everyon, i have my iphone 6 plus for about 6-7 days, and im hating my battery life, im a facebook, music and games user (not a really heavy user) and i had an iphone 6 (4"6 inch) and i had 6 hours of screen with my normal usage (youtube, facebook, 1 or 1 and half hours of gaming, 3 hours of music etc etc, facebook)
and on my brand new iphone 6 plus im getting less battery life (4-5 screen hours) with less usage...
i Dont know what i have to do, i came to the apple store and they told me my battery is 100% healthy, and they cant so anything (i can changue my phone for a refurbished one but im pretty scared about the idea of get a refurbished one for a new one, because i dont have the ticket it was a gift)
Someone are experimenting the same issue? What would i do? replace my phone? Im pretty sad because my old phone gaves me more battery than the biggest one...

Try this and see if it helps. Try logging out of iCloud completely for a day or two and see if your battery life gets better. I had this issue and it helped tremendously. I think some people's phones, for some reason, are constantly hitting iCloud, even while asleep, and thus constantly using the battery. One pretty strong indication of this is if you look at the Usage and Standby times in the Battery Usage sections. If they are close in number of hours, then something is using the phone in the background constantly. Standby should, under most usage patterns, be far ahead of Usage. For example, my phone after about 6 hours of up time, showed 3 hours of Usage and 3 hours of Standby time. There was no way I was using the phone for 3 hours. Since logging out of iCloud, that 6 hours is now divided as 5 hours Standby and 1 hour of Usage.
To log out of iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud and at the bottom of the page tap on sign out of iCloud. Do that for a day or two to see how it goes.
Two things you should know (you may already) - 1. You will lose your iCloud backup at night, so if you back up to iCloud you may want to run it before you sign out. If you back up to iTunes on a computer, this will not be as much of an issue;  2. You will also lose Find My Phone. When you log out, it will ask you if you want to log out of Find My Phone. Say yes during your test. You can always log back in.
These thing worked for me. Instead of getting barely 7 hours of life from the phone with limited usage, I now get days of life with a lot heavier usage.
Anyway, hope these suggestions help if you try them.

  • Is it recommended to run the battery on a iPhone 6 plus when experiencing battery draining issues?

iphone started going from 70% to nearly flat in 8 hours or so, should I drain it flat, or go to my local Apple store for advice?

    Hi, Cuzzystyle.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Battery life can be difficult to troubleshoot as multiple factors contribute to how long a charge can last.  Graphic intensive applications, display brightness and data connectivity are just a few of the items that can cause the battery life to decrease rapidly.  I would need to know a little more information about your usage patterns to give you and idea on how to maximize battery life.  However, here are some tips on how to adjust settings and charge the device that may help.

  • How is your battery performance on iPhone 6 Plus?

So far, not at all impressed and confused as to where they got their ratings of 24 hours.... I guess that was a non-possible number but my phone has been off the charger for 4 hours now and is already at 50% with moderate active use but no video files, and mostly bluetooth phone calls, emails, and texts.  I use my phone quite a bit during the day and literally only bought the bigger phone for battery performance, hoping I would see "iPad" type battery status but I am not impressed at all.  Your experiences would be appreciated.

Something is definitely wrong here. I've calibrated the battery by running it down to nothing a few times, but most of those were unintentional! I am having to recharge the battery twice a day. I have been hearing many reviewers crowing about the 6+ battery life, but mine is as bad as my much-used 5S.
I despise having to restore the phone and reinstall my settings and apps, but I guess that is the next step...

  • Does the built-in DAC on my 2007 mid yr iMac support 96/24 audio as it supplies signal to the headphone jack? (is there a reason to export audio via optical jack then to an external DAC?

does the built-in DAC on my 2007 mid yr iMac support 96/24 audio as it supplies signal to the headphone jack?  If so, is there a reason to export audio via optical jack then to an external DAC then to stereo?

My suggestion to work around this problem would be to hook up an Airport Express. The AE also has an optical out the same as your iMac. As long as your wireless connection is robust enough you should be able to stream from your iMac to your AE and then have the optical cable connect between your AE and your DAC, which then connects to your Integrated Amp/Receiver/Pre-Amp (depending on your system configuration).
I assume because you are using the optical out and connecting to an external DAC that you are looking for a high level of Audio quality ?

  • I keep getting "low-level exception occurred in: waveform audio (exporter)"

when I try to edit a clip from preimere pro cs6 with the context menu "edit clip in audition" it gives me the low-level exception occurred in: waveform audio (exporter) error in the log and does nothing.
what is happening and how do I fix it?

Often, when two programs in a suite are being used with one another, which forum to post to, can be a bit of a gray area. Those, who suggested the Au Forum, probably fixated on that part of the workflow.
Had you posted here, there might well have been a few, who would have suggested the Au Forum.
As the Au folk have not encountered this error, the PrPro Forum is probably the best place to be right now.
Unfortunately, I have neither encountered that error, nor have I read of it, so I am of no use, other than to say that someone here will probably be able to get you some help.
Now, I do agree that at the point in your workflow, where you are encountering the error, it probably IS a PrPro error.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Required - Battery Level and network signal strent...

It would be very useful if there was a Battery Level and network signal strenth indicators in OVi Suite. IMO even free mobile management apps have this useful feature. So it shouldnt be a problem for Nokia to add this to Ovi suite.

When I connect my N8 to the PC I get the below window pop up.
So it seems the function you describe already exists.
    Thanks

  • I am about to go get my 4th iphone 4s since November!  Up in the left coener where it shows your signal strength, it goes into searching mode and stays there.  Kills my battery.  This one has lasted the longest-I got it December 23.  Any ideas out there?

I am about to go get my 4th iphone 4s since November!  Up in the left corner where it shows your signal strength, it goes into searching mode and stays there.  Kills my battery.  While in searching, no calls can be made/recieved, no internet, etc. This one has lasted the longest-I got it December 23.  Any ideas out there?

Both.  The first two, I did use my itunes.  The guy at the apple store said that could be the problem.  The last time they gave me a new phone and SIM card, and the tech said it wouldnt be the itunes.  Just to be safe, I never connected this phone to the itunes until last night-after it started searching- to save everything since I'm sure they will be replacing the phone today.  But hey, thanks for the suggestions.  I'm about at my wits end with Apple!!  Especially since i added a third line to my account just so I could get an iphone back.

  • No sound on optical audio input but audio signal is there; mid-2007 iMac running OS 10.6.8

I've connected a digital turntable to my iMac via Toslink RCA/optical and I know the cables and converter are working. In the Sound preferences I can see evidence of an audio signal being received but there is no sound. This setup used to work before I had my hard drive replaced.

Erase the drive then install OS X:
    Drive Partition and Format
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
If you are preparing an external or a non-startup drive, then open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
If this doesn't work then the drive is probably bad or some of the new RAM you installed is marginally defective.

  • Battery Low Level Warning

From what I've read, I have been having the same battery problems as most of you here. So after getting a replacement battery from an Apple Store, Im wanting to get the most out of my new one.
Here's the thing, so somewhere in the middle of my battery failing and my computer randomly shutting down, the low level warning prompt, turned off. Where do turn the warning prompt to "yes" instead of "no"? I can't seem to find it, other than knowing its off when looking under the Power section in System Profiler.
Thanks for the help. This forum is amazing.

Thanks for the response. But I still have another question. Why, if the prompt is automatic, then does it read as "NO" in the power section of System Profiler. I have the new battery in and it JUST got to 100%. Im thinking about calibrating it right now. Would you suggest that being a good idea or not? I know how to calibrate it, but I dont know when the best time to start it first.
    Thanks again.

  • I am having trouble sending an audio signal from my computer (mac pro early 2009) to my TV.  Is there some interface or adapter that allows /enables the audio input from my computer to be sent to the TV (R,L signal?) any suggestions

I am having trouble sending an audio signal from my computer (mac pro early 2009) to my TV.  Is there some interface or adapter that allows /enables the audio input from my computer to be sent to the TV (R,L signal?) any suggestions

just  the audio, eh?. If you were using DVI or DisplayPort that might be different, but for audio alone, it shouldn't be that hard.  Just grab a 3.5 mm stereo plug to 2 rca cables adapter. Plug the smaller end into the back of your Mac Pro (or the Front), where you see either the headphone or speaker icon). Alt-click on the speaker icon at the top of your screen to show all audio inputs and outputs. Make sure it's set to Line Out.  Plug the red and white end into the audio in jacks on the back of your tv and set it to the correct input. I don't know if your tv will allow just the audio to play. Usually one has to connect up something else, but hopefully I'm wrong.  If you were using DVI, or DisplayPort, you'd need an active DVI--HDMI adapter or a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, but
    I don't know for sure

  • Error Msg -A Low-level exception occurred in: Adobe Player

I have CS6 installed, all the latest patches, etc. It's been working fine for months. In the last week Pr is unable to playback all of my footage (Native 5D mark III h.246 and Canon xf305 footage). Whether it is on the timeline or in the source panel.
The Error message i get it this:  A Low-level exception occurred in: Adobe Player (player).
    Using Adobe CS 6.0.3
Windows 64 Bit 8 GBs RAM
Happens in new projects and old.
New timelines also affected, it appears.
Was not happening as recently as two days ago.
No changes made to the computer.
Only changes is that I have combined timeines (Imported) from one project to another.
    Video shows yellow or Green.
I have rerendered the footage to show all green on timeline.
Only way around it is to reboot the computer, it comes back after a while. The problematic timelines work fine for a while, then this starts happening.
I deleted the media cache database folder after exiting Pr.
Didn't seem to change anything. I just got the error again. Things seem to be curiously messed up. I tried to render a sequence out to MXF. The headless crashed each time, (not totally unusual, but it couldn't complete even once). I also got an error message when I bypassed the Media Encoder and just went strait to rendering it out within Pro. It managed to continue to render it to MXF but when I got done and imported it into Pro, it didn't play the clip when I clicked on it.
The interesting thing to me is that to totally clear Adobe from RAM, I have to go into Task Manager and kill the process after exiting the program (in lieu of rebooting). So it's not closing properly, it appears. Once I kill the process and reopen the app, I can then play the sequence, for a while. It's very curious. Task manager also shows lots of RAM open, no memory leaks at work, nothing unusual. It appears, to be just choking on footage, sort of like it can't quite process the audio (like when you bring in new footage and it has to process that audio). What's happening is like it sees the audio at first when I bring it in at startup of the app, then loses it. If I exit without killing the Premiere process (or shutting down the machine), then it still exhibets the behavior on startup again.
So this project is large, for me. It is showing as 34 MBs. I have a wide variety of clips at play here, but only MXF Canon from the xf305 and MOV from the Canon 5D. The MXF are the default sequence(s) unless I shot nothing but MOV.
I have tried rendering the visualization, all green lines on top but that doesn't seem to fully help. It does play the footage for a while.
There are no special effects added, yet.
Is it worth re-installing Premiere? This has cost me the better part of a day screwing around with this.
    Let me detail this again:
Premiere is installed on C There hundreds of GBs of storage avaialble there.
All project files are on F which is a RAID 1 array. It appears to be functioning normally. 800 GBs free space on 2TBs.
All Renders are taking out to an external drive like I always do. Lot s of space available there too.
Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Is this any better? Cut and pasted plain text.

  • Is there a version of Battery Maximizer for the R40 running Vista 32-bit?

    I have an old R40 / 2896-GZU
I recently upgraded to Vista and found the power management driver V1.67.xx.xx which I installed,
but it seems to just be a low-level driver.
I'd like to attempt to condition the battery as was possible with the "Battery Maximizer" software under XP,
but can not find a version of BM that works on the R40 for the Vista OS. Will the XP version run or is there another option?
ThinkVantage System update V3.16 does not appear to function with the combination of the R40 + Vista as it comes back with no updates at all
    Thanks,
    Jim
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You're looking at two somewhat different sets of problems here:
    a) R40 was never shipped with Vista so any drivers that might come up on the web are likely hacked ones, with no guarantee on how well they'll work.
    b) The GPU is not supported by Vista or any of the newer MS operating systems, which adversely affects the entire power setting and is guaranteed to be at least a part of your problem.
Personally, I'd throw Linux on it and call it a day but that's me.
    Good luck.
