Is there a Mac Mail app to send emails to many, but individually?

If you want to send the same email to a bunch of people, you can stick all their email addresses in the TO field. That really makes some people mad since it discloses their email addresses to other recipients. The alternative is to send that email to yourself and use the BCC for the list. But many spam filters assume that BCC sent emails are spam, so some of your recipients won’t get the email. I've seen a couple of applications for Outlook (for example, Send Personally) that will send the same email to many people, but in an individual email. Is there anything like this that works with Mac Mail?
Debbie

Thanks, V.K. I will use your suggestion next time. I send out press releases to about 10 publications and they're already in a group folder, but I've been sending the releases individually.
According to a friend, Send Personally adds a button to your Outlook next to the send button. If you click the Send Personally button, it takes the long list of emails in the TO field and sends the email to each one as if you had done it individually. Sounds like something I could use, but I have no desire to use Outlook.
Thanks again,
Debbie

  • TS3276 Mac Mail won't send emails with signatures

My Mac Mail won't send emails with signatures. I get the "whoosh" sound and they show in sent mail, but the recipient doesn't receive them until I take off the signature and resend the email. Without a signature, it is received. It never used to be a problem, but started this past month. Please advise!

Did Earthlink have you try using their authenticated SMTP server?
If not, try changing Earthlink's SMTP server settings to the following:
    SMTP Server: smtpauth.earthlink.net
Server Port: 25 or 587. Assuming Earthlink is your ISP, 25 should work.
Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): Off or not selected.
Authentication Type: MD5 Challenge-Response. Not sure if this authentication type is available with 10.2 and if not, select Password.
User Name: Your entire Earthlink email address.
Password: The password for your Earthlink email account - the same password used to check the incoming mail server for new messages.

  • IBook. Mac Mail. Can send email.

iBook running OS 10.4.11. Mac Mail. Can send email, but not receive. Slow to send, goes to Outbox first. Can send and receive email via WebMail. Any ideas please.

Is your Mail set up properly? It is possible that you have set up the wrong SMTP & POP3 servers.

  • Mac mail can't send email, only receive. Why?

I have a webmail server that I installed on my mac mail. It is receiving emails, but it won't send. I use the correct port for outgoing emails and all the log-in info is correct. Can anyone help me? Is there a better mail app for mac I can use?

The Mac Mail program is not stupid but garbage in = garbage out.
The colon being added between Earthlink's server and your user name is normal with an authenticated SMTP server.
Although I have cable modem internet service at home, I've kept an old Earthlink dial-up account for use when traveling if a high speed wired or wireless connection isn't available (which is becoming less common). I use Earthlink's authenticated SMTP server to send messages with my Earthlink account when connected to my ISP at home and to send messages with my other email accounts when using Earthlink's dial-up for internet access when traveling.
My Earthlink SMTP server settings are as follows:
    SMTP Server: smtpauth.earthlink.net
Server Port: 587 (this is determined by the ISP used for connecting to the internet but since you are not using Earthlink for internet access, Port 587 should work but not always)
Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): Off or not selected.
    Authentication: MD5 Challenge-Response
User Name: Your entire Earthlink email address.
Password: Your account password - the same password use for checking the incoming mail server for new messages.
If these settings do not work, it is likely the ISP you are using for internet access is blocking the use of all SMTP servers that are outside of their network on any port even if authenticated.
I don't want to use my ISP's way of sending and receiving email.
I just want to use my ISP for DSL service and keep my earthlink
    mail email address.
Unfortunately, you have NO control over this. You are at the complete mercy of your ISP and their restrictions.
You can add your ISP's SMTP server information to the Mail.app and select/use your ISP's SMTP server to send messages with your Earthlink account which is completely invisible to all recipients.

  • Windows Phone and Windows 8 Mail App not sending email from Reply/Forward

I have recently upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1. After a successful upgrade I configured the Windows 8 Mail app to also sync with Exchange (2010 in house server). On my Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 800) I have the same account configured.
This resulted in the problem that the Mail App and the phone do not want to send any emails that have been created by reply or forward.
The phone gives the following error:
"We weren't able to send this message, so we've put it in your Drafts folder. Before you try sending it again, you can check to see if the address is correct and that no attachments are too large."
The Mail App give the following error:
"There's a problem with sending messages from [email protected] at the moment. Check with your provider for more info."
If I create a new email there is no problem.
I have searched all over the internet for a solution to this problem, but could not find somebody with exactly the same problem.

I have exactly the same problem, but unfortunately no solution either... I'll be watching this thread, or post a solution if I find one...

  • Mail App doesnt send emails

My mail.app under OSX 10.5.6 doesn't not send emails nor shows any activity that an email is being sent.!! however , I do receive email from all accounts!!
is there a fix for this?
    thanks

It is possible that you may need to define an Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) entry for the ISP that you physically connected via (may be different to your mail ISP) if you don't already have one set up. For example if your mail is username@isp_one.com and your connection is via isp_two.com then the server entry may need to be smtp.isp_two.com in order for your mail to go out.

  • Why has my mac mails suddenly stopped sending email

I have a new mac air--not even 6 months old.  My mac mail has had the same address for almost 10 years.  In the last year my mac mail will suddenly stop sending.  The last time I talked to mac support they said there was a definite problem and when the new update was installed with the fix, it would start working again--it did, a few weeks ago.   Today...it stopped sending again. WHY?

How are you trying to read them? What process are you using and what applications are involved?

  • Include txt file (containing email addresses) as option to name in "To" to enable send email to many recipients individually

Thunderbird can be made into a good mass mailing software by having the option of allowing a txt file name in the "To" field. The software then picks up each email address in the txt file and sends the email to each email address individually.
Most people keep a list of 100 or 200 or so emails to whom they send regular emails as a txt or xls file. This feature will help enable people use Thunderbird as the mass mailer and send emails to email addresses in a txt or xls file
Mass mailing softwares usually cost about $ 50 and this feature will save people this money.

  • My Mac mail has stopped sending email.

I have changed the password, restarted, and looked for new updates. Nothing has helped. I can't even send a plain text email. I have no problems receiveing mail, or send and receiving through my browser or my phone. The outgoing mail just sits in the outbox and does nothing.
Anyone else had the same issue and resolved it?

    BASICS Send & Receive
    1.  If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration (Incoming server)
    2.  If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration (Outgoing server)
    EDIT SMTP SETTINGS
In Accounts window, select to Edit SMTP Server list...
    Select account in the list.
Click on Advanced tab. Enter full email address and password
Open Connection Doctor under Window in the Menu bar.
Do you see green light for SMTP for your account?
It's not uncommon to find extra SMTP servers listed. When you remove account, Mail does not delete the smtp info. You might need to do some clean up.
    If you still have problems....
What email provider? (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Earthlink, Comcast, ATT, other)
    If other please identity provider.

  • Mac Mail.app V.2.0.5 with OSX server's email don't play well sometimes

I have my own web, FTP, and email server. (OSX 10.4.4 Server). I've been managing my own server services since AppleShare V.6 .So I've done this a few times. I have set up an account for myself "nino" on the server that people email to, you know "[email protected]".
On my laptop I have Mac Mail.app set to log onto my server, via the internet, and to get and send emails. Sounds pretty normal right? Yep, it is except four or five times since I updated the server to 10.4.4., last December, Mac Mail.app simply stops receiving email from my account. Now I'm a pretty busy guy and email is my main source of communications. Plus get a healthy amount of junk mail. So I hear that familiar beep at least twice an hour - usually a lot more. I can always when this tell when this anomaly happens when two hours go by without something arriving in Mac Mail.app.
The catch here is the server is still accepting mail for my account. I can go to web mail, which I have set-up and working fine, and new emails are there! Mac Mail.app simple stops accepting them.
    I have tried:
    restarting both machines
changing the password to my account, on both machines
actually deleting my account from Mac Mail.app, restarting and creating my account again
Nada.... I can see emails adding up in web mail....grrrrrr.
The only way I know to resolve this is to, gulp, delete my account on the Server and set it up again. This seems to work but unless I've answered messages in web mail their gone! Poof. I do like to keep good records by saving and organizing business related emails. So when this happens I'm screwed.
    Any thoughts?

  • Mac Mail Template Not Sending Correctly - Yosemite

    Hi, folks,
Upgraded to 10.10.1 on a Mac Pro Tower a month or so ago. When I use one of the few Mac Mail templates to send emails to a group, the artwork embedded in the template, and the text are separating, so the art ends up on the bottom of the email, under the text.
I am using AOL as my mail provider, through Verizon Fios ISP.  Below is an example, showing the bottom of the mail message as I received it. The Mac template includes a blue background, and a trophy icon - they are supposed to be at the top of the email. After I enter a headline (which I made into a smaller font point size) and entered my body copy (which I recolored from light gray to black) I sent the email to many users, including myself. When I open the email, the headline appears at the top, then the body copy, but the trophy artwork which should be at the very top has been pushed to the bottom, separated from the blue background of the template.
Also, as an aside, does someone know where there are other good-quality Mail templates that can be added to Apple's minuscule selection?

Me too, very frustrsting. In addition, a few days before this happened, these same clients received emails from me from a gmail server based email address than I don't ever use for business. I think this started the day after I got the icloud email. Coincidence or not?
    So:
    1. I sent an email from email address 1 (definitely address 1) but the client received it from email address 2!
    2. When I spotted the replies from the clients, I checked and no matter what I did, the system overrode the sending email to be email 2.
    3. A few days later, all the clients I'd been having issues with, are having the same server message when sending as Sam. Very frustrating and wasting huge amounts of my time. What's gong on and what do I need to do about it? I've already deleted the gmail address and re-set it up which sorted the problem yesterday but it's back again today.

  • Mail can't send email from 123-reg accounts

    Hi all,
I've got an issue with Mac Mail can’t send email from 123-reg accounts.
I know there is a lot of articles on simular matters and some I have tried out with no luck, others are just speaking a whole other language.
Any help would be greatly recived, here's my situation below:
    Running a iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core i5 on OS X 10.8.3
I’m using 3 accounts on Macs Mail client, one is my iCloud account that is working fine and the other two are my 123-reg accounts that I use for business purposes. I’ve been working like this for a couple of years now and about 6 months ago I upgrade my operating system from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion.
2 or 3 months ago I randomly got a problem where I was unable to send any emails from my 123-reg account, I could only receive emails. I checked my settings and they were all correct and unchanged so I attempted to delete them and recreate the account but with no such luck.
I then decided to check if it was a problem at 123-regs end and attempted to log into web mail. This worked and was able to both send and receive emails so eliminated that possibility.
I also have these accounts set up on my iPhone, so checked if there was any issues and everything was working fine. I then checked my iphone details and made sure the same was on my desktop and still no such luck.
I’ve tried out some of the articles I’ve found on here (the ones written in plain English) still no results. I’m not very IT illiterate and just wondered if anyone else has got any ideas, whether there is something specific with 123-reg accounts and Mac Mail?
    Many thanks.

    Thanks
I just had another hunt around looking at posts and discovered that it was because I recently changed to BT Infinity and they had a block on.
I didn't even think to question the ISP.

Yesterday, when I brought my laptop back from sleep, I tried to check my e-mail with the Mail app like I always do. But there was the lightning bolt sign next to the inbox, and the pop-up asked me to input my password, which didn't work. It says mail.mac.com has rejected my password. The password is correct (I'm able to check my e-mail through my browser at me.com), but for some reason Mail keeps on rejecting it. I usually don't have to input my password at all in Mail. Any clue how to fix this? I haven't changed anything at all on my laptop.

I did change my apple ID password though...

This sounds like the age old problem with keychain & Safari. I don't know of a way to solve it without using something like 1Password.
The iOS app has it's own built in browser, so it has more control over what gets autofilled. Safari on OS X has an 1Password extension that handles account selection & autofill etc.
Keychain is great in principle, but it quickly falls down when you need tight integration with many ID's & different use cases (work, home etc).
I'd suggest you submit feedback to Apple about your thoughts. I did so years ago about this issue & this is how far we have come (back to the point where me.com synced passwords) :^)
    http://apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
Other tools like lastpass or keypassx may also help if you want to truly segregate password storage, but that doesn't fix autofill, the way around that issue is to dedicate one browser for work.
