Is there a Mac template somewhere for Avery labels?

Hi,
I'm trying to find a template for Avery 6 labels on 8.5 x 11 using a Mac. Where should I look? Sorry to bother with such a simple question but my Adobe Indesign help button only goes to Mac questions.
Garrett

Google brings up this: http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Templates-&-Software/Templates/Labels/Shipping-Labels/Shi pping-Label-6-per-sheet_Adobe-InDesign.htm
Platform is irrelevant.

Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

  • Is there a replacement for avery labels software in Lion

I just spent an hour battling one of the clumsiest pieces of software I've ever dealt with in three decades of computer use. Avery labels! Used to be a snap, under (gulp!) Windows, but now it's an unmitigated disaster.*
I have tried to use OpenOffice without much improvement; and I haven't found anything in Pages that really helps.
And it's not nice of me to bite my wife's head off when she asks me to do "a couple of labels for my latest submission." It's not her fault -- it's Avery's!
    * I cannot set one format for multiple labels -- neither justification nor size -- and have it stay from one label to the next. Often when I copy and paste an address (or in this instance, title, copyright date and size for a piece of art), Avery decides to change the size on me. But when I change it back to what I had originally set . . . it accepts that. Egad!
Also, I printed up a bunch of labels, saw some were no good. Decided I'd change them (even more than once) and print them below the existing ones. But on the same page? No way. Avery won't let me erase more than one at a time. Double egad!

Disregard this request.  I found the Lion version of AM in the \applications\utilities folder.
I have a similar problem.  The version of AM in my Applications folder does not work since upgrading from Snow Leopard.  When I click on the app file I get a screen splash saying "You can't use this version of the application Activity Monitor.app with this version of Mac OS X. You have Activity Monitor.app 10.5."  I did a finder search and this is the only version of AM.  When I downloaded OS 10.7.2 from the Apple Store there was no instruction to delete the old copy of AM prior to install.  I now have 10.7.5 and still no activity monitor.  Is there any way to download AM as a stand alone program?  Do I have any other options for reinstalling this valuable program?

  • How can I get templates for Avery Labels to use with Pages.

Prior to getting Pages I always used Word.  Word seems to bomb out on my new imac.  I need to be able to use Avery Labels, but I can't find a template for labels in Pages.  Suggestions?

Pages doesn't have label templates built in. You can use Word templates in Pages, but I do believe that Avery now has Pages templates although I only see "holiday" ones.

  • How do I find template for avery labels in iPages

I lost Word when I went to iPages.  Now I cannot find a way of finding a template to do mailing labels with Avery labels.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

It is in the Print panel of Contacts. Pages v5 and derivate versions have no built-in Mail merge capability without AppleScript programming/integration skills.
Build a simple mailing list in Numbers or another spreadsheet application. Export to comma separated values (CSV) file.
In Contacts, create a new group (File > New Group), and with that new group selected, select File > Import and provide the name of the CSV file. Your new group is now populated with contact information. Clean up as needed. File > Print. You can click on the following image to enlarge.

  • Is there a Mac add on for "FilePro Viewer"? "Unable to display image. The FilePro Viewer was not loaded."

I'm trying to use my local Clerk of Court site and it's set up for windows.  I guess FilePro Viewer is the windows add on that is used to view these scanned images.  I've spoken with the site developer for our local gov and they suggested installing windows on my Mac, I will not do that though.  Anybody?

  • Acrobat 7 - is there a menu entry somewhere for "Create Link" (other than in the context menu)?

I need to create internal PDF hyperlinks with the link tool on selected text -- however I need the links to be created via the normal application menu, and not from the context menu (i.e. not via "right-click --> "create link").
However, I can't find a menu command for "create link" anywhere.
    Help is greatly appreciated.
    David.P

Thanks -- however, context menu items do tend to be duplicates of application menu items as you can see from any application of your choice.
The link tool does not help since it is not capable to
    > create internal PDF hyperlinks on selected text
Therefore I really am looking for an application menu item for creating a hyperlink (similar like with the highlighting of selected text via "Comments" --> "Edit Text" --> "Highlight Selected Text", to be found a second time under "Tools" --> "Commenting" --> "Edit Text" --> "Highlight Selected Text").

  • There must be an action for this labeling effect- please help me find it!

    Hello,
I'm not a very experienced PS user, but I have played around with actions.
I need to add labels to about 50 photos, and I want to go with the slightly transparent effect I've been seeing everywhere (see image) so they will look uniform in a slideshow..
My photos are many different sizes and some are portrait, some landscape, and I am wondering how I can automate the workflow so I don't have to add a label to each photo based on it's width. Is this even possible? Or do I have to manually make a label for each one, adjust the opacity, etc?
I have searched and found many fabulous actions and plug-ins, but nothing that has helped me yet.
    It's in your hands experts!
    Jen

My photos are many different sizes and some are portrait, some landscape, and I am wondering how I can automate the workflow so I don't have to add a label to each photo based on it's width.
For tasks like these I prefer Scripts (which can handle conditionals) but Actions should suffice in this case, I guess.
First of the opacity change can certainly be recorded.
Secondly the watermark can probably be made to fit the width of an image by a procedure of
    • changing the Image Size to a certain width (that of the watermark) without downsampling
    • then placing the watermark either from an existing file or preferably inserting as Paths (which can be included in an Action) and combining Solid Color-layers to form the watermark (and merging into one layer)
    • switching to the Move Tool, Select All and Aligning Bottom Edges
Resetting the image to the original resolution is, I’m afraid, not an option for an Action.

I'm sorry, but Pages won't correctly open the Avery templates with the .doc extension. They open, but all the formatting is lost. Just a blank page.
I tried to chane extension to .template, as suggested by the Pages -Help window. That didn't work either.
Talk about a daily necessity as a feature.

  • Is there a "how-to" somewhere?

I've been told that with ichat and AIM there's a way for one macbook user to control another's screen (even in a different physical location) -- is there a "how-to" somewhere for doing this? both of our computers will be running Leopard.

Start up iChat and go to the help menu. Choose iChat Help and then index. You can get help on any topic. To share screens in iChat the person that you are chatting with must have 10.5.

    Go to
     > System Preferences > Keyboard
Click on the 'Keyboard' tab and hit the 'modifier keys...' button. You can see and change the defaults there.
As I'm not sure if all the labels are the same in Lion, he's a screenshot from Snow Leopard. It should be similar enough:

  • Setting Margins for Mailing Labels in Reports 6i

I would like to know how to configure the margins (vertical/horizontal properties) for different mailing label formats. I am unable to correctly set them to use for Avery labels. MS Access has a great label wizard that brings up a variety of mailing label formats and allows you to choose from the list. I have found nothing similar in Oracle Reports. Have been a DBA/developer of Oracle Applications for 20+ years. Help!

set Width, Height and Orientation under Section
