Is there a "master page" in contribute?
I created a website in a basic software program, and now edit/manage it using Adobe Contribute. I want to update the side bar table with all the links for the site, and this obviously needs to take affect on ALL pages; not just one. Is there a "master page" that I can edit particular items that are on all pages at once or do I have to edit every single page individually?
Contribute by itself has no such "master page", you'll have to make this change manually page by page for every page affected. If you use Contribute in combination with Dreamweaver, you could set up a master page - or in Dreamweaver terminology a ".dwt template" to make this possible. The actual change of the template, however, would still have to be done in Dreamweaver and not Contribute.

I created mega menu in adobe muse ( master page ) but the thing is when I preview that menu in other pages contents I already had created will overlap the menu. Is there a Master or Paragraph rule that would allow me to edit fonts on many pages?
I'm using InDesign CS4.
I would like to be able to create a header on a Master that would control the font and size of font on each Header on each page.
On each page, the wording is different, so there can't be wording...
The Headings on each page have a different font than the font in the body of the book.
Is creating a master the best way, or is creating a type of paragraph or paragraph rule the way to go?
I feel there must be a way to make this happen - so if the font needs to be changed, it can be changed from a master or a rule, not having to go to each and every page...

If you still don't have it sorted out, here are some steps to follow, with some assumptions based on info contained in the thread so far:
Go to your Master Page and set up your header text frame. Type an actual line of text in there, even if it's just "Header goes here" or something like that.
Format the text the way you want all your headers to look; font, size, etc.
With the now-formatted text selected, go to the Paragraph Styles panel, (if you don't see it, choose Window > Styles > Paragraph Styles or press Ctrl+F11), and choose New Paragraph Style from the panel menu, (click the menu icon at the top-right corner of the panel to access the panel menu). This will open the Paragraph Style dialog, pre-populated with settings based on your text selection. Give it a name like "Header Left," put a tick on Apply Style to Selection and click OK.
If you need a Header Right style for the facing Master Page, there are a few ways to get it. Here's one: In the Paragraph Styles panel, right-click on the Header Right style and choose Duplicate Style... to make a copy of it. Now right-click on the new copy and choose Edit Header Right copy... Change its name to Header Left, make whatever other changes you want to the style settings, (primarily Indents and Spacing > Alignment, I should think), and click OK.
Now you can also duplicate the text frame you made in step 1 by copy/paste or Alt-Drag to the facing page. Put it where you want it and apply the Header Left style. -
Is there a way / script to change an image in all master pages of files in a InDesign book
I have about 30 InDesign Files that are contained within a book. I am looking for a simple way to replace a logo in the master files without doing it one by one. Is there a script or process to do this easily?
Master pages can be synchronized through the Book panel.

Metadata tab in master page not there
"Define your sitemap". I right clicked the master page just liked it asked and went to page properties but there was no metadata tab to allow me to add a prefix or suffix? NB I have the latest version of Adobe Muse.

I too have the latest update of Adobe Muse CS6 (Release Version: v4.1, Build 8, Cl 774415.
I do have the MetaData option if I put an image into one of the pages (any one of the pages), go back to the plan page, and right click on the main master. Yet, from what the tutorial says as well as your image I should be able to do it previous to doing that.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Is there a way to apply a master page to even (or odd) pages in a long document?
I'm taking a very simple, large pdf document and bringing it into InDesign to add some graphics. The pdf is actually a customized 2-page document for a large employee group (i.e. pages 1 and 2 are for employee001, pages 3 and 4 are for employee002, pages 5 and 6 are for employee003, etc.).
I've found a script that allows me to bring in all the pages of the pdf at one time, provided I've set up the correct number of blank pages in InDesign. What I'm looking for now is a way to apply a master page to all even numbered pages at one time. Or all odd pages. Anyone have any ideas?
Ideally, an option that would import the entire pdf document, add the appropriate number of pages to the InDesign document, and be able to assign different master pages to even and odd pages would rock! Help!for (var i=0;i<= PageLength-1;i++)

Strange tags in master pages - any idea how they got there?
NOTE: This issue is related to my posting (1/2 way down) in http://forums.adobe.com/message/4539747#4539747
but I wanted to start a new thread to separate it as its own problem.
I just noticed that when I create a new topic, I see this unusual local formatting <p class="TABELBODY"> tag in HTML view (see below, 4rth line from bottom). This is where the mysterious "TABLEBODY" formatting is originating that I've been plagued throughout my current project.
If I delete the default text in this new topic (in Design mode), this <p class="TABELBODY"> still winds up in the topic when viewing in HTML view (see below, 3rd line from bottom).
When you start adding new text in the topic in Design mode, it attaches itself to your first line of text as local formatting (see below, 9th line from bottom):
When you view the topic in Design mode and place your cursor on the first line of text, you'll see this local formatting TABELBODY display in the syle dropdown (see below).
I decided to open up a new topic using my other master page, and also noticed strange tags in it (<?rh-region_start type="body" ?> ). See below, 3rd and 12th lines from bottom.
Consequently, I finally figured out that both my master pages had junk HTML tags in them, which carried over to all of my topics. I have now fixed the master pages by editing out the junk in the HTML mode.
I did some further investigation and found out that the originating project that was the basis for my current project also had master pages with the same tag issues. So now I'm wondering, how did this start? Maybe someone imported a RH html output file into a project by mistake a long time ago, and it corrupted the master pages right up until this time? Or, could it have been from upgrading from RH 7 to 9?Boy, this is really getting stranger by the moment...every time I think I have solved a problem in RH, another layer of problems emerges...
I made the minor edits on my two master pages to get rid of the junk tags shown above and did a Save All. Here is the result (see screens below):

That's ALL I touched. However, now when I view any topic using these master pages with either the Preview mode (eyeglass icon) or as a final output file, the default text from those master pages displays on top of the topic. Interestingly enough, the master page text does NOT display in these topics in Design mode.

Master page mapping & two-level running headers
Using running headers for two or more levels is probably an age-old problem both in Framemaker and Word. I wonder if anyone has a solution that works with master page mapping.
To elaborate a bit, I have a number of documents with a typical chapter structure like this:

4.2
When I use a running header that references both first-level (H1) and second-level headings (H2), the previous second-level heading is carried over to the next first-level section. For example, H2 from section 1.3 is carried over to the running header of sections 2 and 3, as there is no new H2.
The obvious solution is to apply a different master page to sections that have no second-level heading.
However, I failed to find master page mapping rules that would give me the intended result: When I use a master page mapping rule for H1 paratags ("use a master page with a running header for H1 only, until changed"), it doesn't consider if there is a H2 paratag on the same page. In conjunction with a mapping rule for H2 paratags, the second-level running header would start at the second subsection of every first-level section, i.e. 1.2 or 4.2, leaving 1.1 and 4.1 with a different header (which is a trade-off, but not too nice).
Do you know of any solution or workaround (preferably without using FrameScript)?

Your solution is good use of existing FrameMaker capability. I don't have any better solution to contribute.
If the blank paragraphs cause inter-paragraph spacing problems, you might want to create a new paragraph format, "H2_NoSub," for headings that have no subsections, and make it a run-in, so that it pulls the #EmptyPara onto its own line, hence, there's no effect on text flow.
Yes, you'd need to adjust running header definitions, and TOC included paragraph definitions to deal with the new paragraph format. Just a suggestion.

Edit Page options in ribbon disabled after applying modified Seattle Master Page
Hi,
I'm working on a modified version of the Seattle.master page, and I have an odd permissions issue that is seen when my user (a farm admin) tries to edit a page on the site. On some pages, clicking Edit Page doesn't do anything at all. On others, I've been
able to go into edit mode but not do anything with the Edit options afterward. In this scenario, most or all of the useful edit options are disabled, and I cannot use Save, Checkout, Discard the Checkout, Change the Page Layout, etc...
Checking the JavaScript console in IE reveals this JS error that I don't see in the OOTB Seattle:
SCRIPT5007: Unable to set value of the property 'href': object is null or undefined

As you can see, I have moved the Ribbon (div#ms-designer-ribbon) from its fixed position outside of the div#s4-workspace to inside of the div#s4-bodyContainer so that it scrolls with the page. Placing the ribbon inside div#s4-bodyContainer shouldn't be an issue,
as I've made a Design Manager Master Page in the past and placed the ribbon there as well without issue.

Suppose that we can do the customization like this: With a copied master page, we can apply a part of the change first, then check it in the browser to make sure it can work without affecting the OOTB features. Then apply other parts one by one with immediate
examinations...
By doing this, it would be easier to find out which step in your whole customization would cause the issue.

Hi Folks,
I was trying to save basic search template master page "seattle.master" after making change to the template.
I have added just "CompanyName" folder and update the line below in seattle.master.
Change is this : <SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="Themable/CompanyName/corev15.css" runat="server"/>
When I save it, and refresh page on browser, it shows "Something went wrong" error.
ULS says the following error : "UserAgent not Available, file operation may not be optimized"
Pls let us know if there is a solution.

Master Page Header and Footer in Page Viewer Web Part
Hi.
I created a View in Pages Library to view specific folders.
After that i added one Page Viewer web part to one of the aspx page.
There in the Page Viewer web part properties Link i have provided the url of the view.
It is displaying the folders but at the same time it is displaying the master page header and footer inside the web part.
Now i need to display the folders alone inside the Page Viewer web part.
Please let me know how to exclude the master page header and footer inside the Page Viewer web part?

In the page viewer web part,your just enter the url of the website.So that is treated as webpage and it is displaying as per page.

Master page Dynamic data not getting displayed in consecutive pages
Hi,
I have buit a dynamic form which has some dynamic content in master page and a dynamic table in the body page.
Layout is
Master page
Sub form
Field1 -TextView
Field2 - TextField bind with Node1--->Attribute1
Field2- TextField bind with Node2---->Attribute2
Field n - TextField
all the text fields are bound to various nodes from RFC
Body Page
Sub form
Table -Grows Dynamically
When i run the application all the fields are displayed perfectly in the first page.
when the table data goes more than one page the problem arises
The Text fields in the master page is not displaying the values in the second page ,but the text views and the table values are fine.
The values are getting displayed in both pages if i put any attribute inside the parent node.Is there any property i need to set at node level or subform level?

Master Page is used for static content as per SAP and Adobe like company logo and company address footer section and placing watermarks etc....
I feel because of the Dynamic behavior in master page it Leeds this problem.

SharePoint Foundation 2013 - Master Pages
I am trying to create a SharePoint Intranet site but am quickly running into a number of issues and am looking for help.
I need to create a site that has multiple subsites (one for each department) however all of the subsites need to have a consistent look and feel about them so I have delved head long into branding, creating master pages, etc. I have set-up a
master page, with a logo and icon, I would like this to cascade down to all subsites and pages below however I have no option to set this up.
Is this a limitation of using foundation? What other limitations are there to foundation that I need to be aware of?
There also doesn't seem to be any visual designer, what do people use and what would people recommend to use?
I am sure there will be a number of other questions that I need to ask but these will do for starters.

OK there are two related as I see it.
Each of your pages consists of a solid, opaque bitmap for a
main image.
Master Pages, by default, are at the bottom of the layer
stack. Your
tabs ARE present, you just can't see them because they are
covered up by
the bitmap.
Assuming you don't have those page images as multi-object
elements,
where you can edit the blue backgrounds, there are still two
things you
can do, both of which are pretty easy.
Go into each page and temporarily reduce the opacity of Layer
1.
Use the marquee tool to draw a selection around the area of
the tabs.
Delete the selection.
Return the lay back to full opacity.
OR
Try dragging the Master page to the top of the layer stack in
each page.
Hide or delete the Master page background.
This option is a little trickier, but I was able to do it.
Wait for the
black bar to appear before you release the mouse. You may
need to try
this a few times before it works.

Items are not flowing into the second master page.

any help on this is really appreciated. this is the situation. There are two master pages. I have created a flow content subform. And within this, i have created a position content subform. Within this, i have the different fields of an item level table. There are a total of 14 records. three pages are used. And all the three are the first master page. Basically I have a dynamic table which must be followed by a standard text.
So I've created a subform (flow content), in it I have another subform (flow content, table): in it one subform (flow content, table row) and a subform (position content with my text).
Although all the 'allow page breaks' are checked, the issue I have is that the second page is never printed...
