Is there a max number of iCloud clients

iCloud supports my iPhones and Windows 8.1 calendars, but structurally discards my iPad. Is there a max number of iCloud clients ina network?

Hallo James, It seems that your suggestion did work! The sync, however, came much later than those on the smart phones. I reentered my Apple password and turned the iPad calendar iCloud button OFF and ON and after, say, half an hour I got missing calendar items on the iPad.
10 Points for you! Thanks.

  • Is there a max number of names that can be put into Contacts

is there a max number of names that can be put into Contacts and still have the app work well?

Yes, there is. It's how many contacts your hard drive can take. So you can fill up the entire computer with nothing but contacts until your HDD/Flash has no space left. So if you have 250GB, it'd be less than if you had 500GB and you'd have more on 750GB.

  • Is there a max number of Apple pro prints allowed per order? I tried 300, then 65 and neither worked. At $2.99 per for shipping, it is expensive to order 20 sets when I used to do just one for all.

Is there a max. number of Apple pro prints allowed per order with the updated iPhoto/Mountain Lion?
I have been using the system for years and have had no issues, but this first try under Mountain Lion I was told the max was 300 prints per order.
It order did not go through, nor did one with 65 photos.  When I tried 2, it was fine, but at $2.99 shipping, plus tax,
paying $60 to get all 300 of my photos shipped is unreasonable.
Is this a glitch in the new OS?  Hopefully it will be fixed.

  • Is there a max number of parameters that can be passed to a C function in test stand v. 1.0.1

I have had an issue with test stand version 1.0.1 (yes, I know; it's quite old) and calling a C function thru an action step. when I call this function with 18 parameters, it seems to hang. I have called a function with 16 and it seems to work. Is this a limit of the software? I am calling the function from a windows DLL that we've created. When I try to pull the function from the dll into test stand I also get a { error...but I get that in the other function's call and it seems to work fine. Any ideas?

ok, upon re-reading what I posted I can clearly see your confusion. haha. I think there are two separate issues.
    1) Are there a maximum number of parameters one can use when calling a C function from a DLL? Yes, i'm trying to call a C function from test stand.
    2) when I select the "module" tab, and select which DLL contains my function, the prototype has no information associated with it (by clicking the reload prototype button). I'm not sure why, as I'm using a declspec to send the function information out of the dll, but that's another topic. So I click on the source file tab and point the window to the .cpp of my function (within the DLL's project workspace) and when it begins to parse the file, I get an error about mis-matched curly brackets and if I wish to continue, and skip the rest of the parsing.
I click "OK" and when I go back to the module tab, I am able to see all my functions, along with the parameters in the drop down menu below. I fill in all the parameters and everything looks ok; no syntax errors, or anything else seemingly suspicious. I then run my test stand code and when I get to the step which calls this function, the system hangs and cannot proceed.
Any thoughts as to what might cause these issues?

  • Max number of Netrestore clients?

    Hi,
I am using the Netrestore feature in 10.6.3 system image utility to deploy a standardized image to about 18 clients. I have been able to successfully restore the image to all of the clients, however I had to do it in two separate deployments.
The first time I booted all of them to the Netrestore only about 10 of them actually made it to the installer. The other machines just sat at the grey Apple screen. Once the others finished I was able to get the others to boot and restore.
I am running a basic network configuration, with an Airport Extreme providing DHCP and a number of gigabit switches with cat 6 running the client machines.
Is there a setting I'm missing? It would seem to me that I should be able to restore this relatively small number of clients at the same time.

  • Jsp+Tomcat: Is there a max number of lines in a html file generated?

Hi, I write a jsp page that does a lot of queries on a database and, for each query, views a table with the records return by the query. I have a problem: if the number of queries is low the page work well; if the number of queries is high the page has been truncated. If a watch at the html file of the browser it's like truncated. Are there any parameters that i have to modify? thaks very much

Truncation usually indicates that an exception occurred after the response had already been committed (due to the output buffer becoming full which will cause it to be flushed).
check out the logfiles of your webserver if there are any unexpected exceptions in there.

  • Is there a max number of actions a button can have?

I'm building an interactive matrix in InDesign (CS5.5 Mac) with stacked buttons to implement the change of state for a given spot on the grid. This is working fine in Acrobat, but when I made a "master reset" button in InDesign (setting 96 buttons to "hidden" and 96 buttons to "visible"), not all of the actions transferred to the button when opened in Acrobat.
My question: is there a limit to the number of show/hide fields a single button can have? If so, I have a pretty good idea how to work around the limit, but want to be sure before proceeding.
Acrobat 9 Pro, Mac OS 10.6.8.
    Thanks,
    Ben

I highly recommend you do it with a script. Not only you won't have this
issue with the maximum number of actions (which I have no answer for,
sorry), but maintaining it would be MUCH easier and more straight-forward.
Imagine you decide to change the name of one of the fields, or remove it.
You'll have to go over all the actions and find the relevant one. In a
script you could do it in seconds, and it would be much easier to find out
    if something went wrong.

  • Max number of movies?

My purchased movies tab on the Apple TV no longer has an "All Purchases" tab. Is there a max number?
All of my movies are there in the genre listings, but Apple is screwy in how they list movies. Hellboy I and II are in different categories.
RIght now my Apple TV is harder to use because the "All" listing is no longer there. I'd like to get this fixed.
    Thanks,
    Scott

Odd, assuming you are not accessing via Computers icon and going to Movies >Purchased, I still have:
Recent and All Films with Genres below.
Have you enabled Family Sharing?  Another poster using this has noted the same, I don't use it.
Apple are very poor about being consistent with their metadata I find - TV Show series often wrong or duplicated season numbers.....
Out of interest if you've downloaded and have iTunes running to serve the library, does Computers icon offer better access to your library still?

  • Max number of account

    Hi,
I'm working with Oracle BI Administration Tool 11.1.1.6.1, where I have imported metadata of an Essbase cube with more than 8.000 account (measures).
Is there a max number of account I can load from an Essbase cube?
Is there a way to count the account in the Physical Layer (after I have imported metadata) smarter than counting manually?
    Thank for your help,
    MAB (Italy)

    Hi,
I do not think there is any restriction on the number of measures and YES, counting them manually is a huge task. How about generating a .xml of that .rpd and counting the number of physical object tags in that .xml using some editor like notepad++ ;) .
    Hope this helps
    Thank you,
    Dhar

  • Max. number of WLCs per WCS

    Hi,
I know this is a fairly basic question but I can't find answer in WCS Q&A's etc.
I'm looking at a deployment where there will be many small sites with only 5 or 6 APs and a 2106 WLC. Each site will be in a different mobility group.
I know WCS licensing counts APs, but is there a max. number of WLCs?
    Thanks, MH

    Hi Mark,
The supported number of WLC's per WCS is based on the WCS Platform used :)
    Minimum server requirements
    Cisco WCS High-End Server
    • 3000 lightweight access points, 1250 standalone access points, 750 wireless LAN controllers
    • Two Intel® Xeon Dual Core CPU's; 3.0 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 200 GB HDD
    Cisco WCS Standard Server
    • 2000 lightweight access points, 1000 standalone access points, 150 wireless LAN controllers
    • Intel® Dual Core CPU; 3.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD
    Cisco WCS Low-End Server
    • 500 lightweight access points, 200 standalone access points, 50 wireless LAN controllers
    • Intel® CPU; 3.06 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 30 GB HDD
CiscoWorks WLSE Models 1130-19 or 1133 running Cisco WCS
    • 1500 lightweight access points, 100 wireless LAN controllers
    • Intel Pentium 4 CPU; 3 GHz, 3 GB RAM, 38 GB HDD

  • 1252 - Max Number of Clients

I have customer that is looking at deploying 1252 access points. I was wondering what the maximum number of clients that can associate to a single 1252. Does this count differ between 1252s running autonomous and LWAPP? The proposed configuration is using B/G radios at 54Mbps but quoting the A/B/G model for future 802.11n deployment (5Ghz radios would be turned off for now).
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thx
    Joe

Its not as simple as the max number of clients but you also have to consider the type of client. Also food RF deisign and survey are critical to maximising client throughput.
There are rules for existing aps of approx 20-25 max for data. This would be 7 for voice in mixed mode b/g or 14 for g only and 20 for a only.
The ap can theoretically support many more clients, I think the figure is 256. With very simplistic data transfer such as bar code scanning I have seen as may as 50 clients with no issues.
As you ar lookig at abg these figures seem realistic.
With 802.11n you hav more bandwith available, better utilisation of the spectrum and therefore more client but its about being realistic and looking at what you are trying to connect.
Streaming multimedia would be lower than data only. Data only I would say 50 clients no issues but thats quite a density considering the RF footprint. For voice you are stuck with the above figures as you are still only dealing with abg clients.
    Hope that helps

I Changed my phone number and my iphone and restored it via icloud. For getting my keychain back I have to provide the security number which I would normally receive via Text message, but the it's still connected with my old phone number. Tried help: On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced, but no "advanced" field is provided (using 8x ios). Changed the number on icloud.com over desktop, logout from icloud on phone and logged back in but the security code is still associated with my old phone nr. Please help, I'm lost.

Okie. I was confused because when I first installed the app I had to give my phone number. But I think I get it now. Thanks so much!! :)

  • "max number of thread"

We are running a java web app on a Ubuntu Oracle WebLogic server version 10.3.3.
The java web app performs long polls with open tcp socket to keep the client connection open. The clients are long polling the WebLogic at 30 seconds.
Currently we are not able to maintain stability for greater than 24 hours with approximately 200 simultaneous sessions on WebLogic server. Session to me is active client/server tcp connection. We have re-written our application to use continuations, but we are seeing ConcurrentModificationException errors in performance testing.
Is there any setting in WebLogic for “max number of thread” that can handle?
    Edited by: user9316392 on Jul 8, 2010 11:07 AM

First, WebLogic since 9.0 has a self-tuning thread pool where WLS will automatically grow and shrink the number of threads based on some internal algorithms. I'm not aware of a hard limit so theoretically there is no max thread count as long as the JVM has memory and WLS thinks more threads will help. You can read up on it here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/dev2arch/2006/01/workload-management.html
Practically, I wouldn't expect more than several hundred threads to be helpful.
As for your situation, how does WLS become unstable? Out of memory, out of file descriptors, errors on new requests, etc. I think you're going to have to use some JVM tools to see what happens to your JVM over time. Is there a memory leak somewhere, is it non-heap memory, etc. JRockit Mission Control is helpful if running on JRockit. If you're on Sun Hotspot, them presumably you can use some of the Hotspot tools. You'll want to compare the state of the JVM towards the beginning of your load test, but after a slight warm-up period with a snapshot after the load test has been running for a long period of time.

  • Real-time 8.6 Remote panel connection exceeds max number of licenses- with no connections

I've been using the remote panel right along with no problems to connect to my Compact Fieldpoint.  This morning I accidently opened the connection twice on the same computer and tripped the "Remote panel connection exceeds max number of licenses" error.  Now it will not let me connect anymore from my computer.  I've tried clearing cookies, cache and history in Internet Explorer and rebooting my computer.  I've fired up the Remote Panel Connection Manager which shows no connections, and the NI License Information window does not show any connections which have been denied due to max # of clients being exceeded.  Is there a way to reset this without having to reboot my RT controller?  I'm running RT8.6 and LV 8.6 Full Dev System and understanding that it should come with 1 remote panel license.
    Thanks

The boss wanted to see an updated feature, so I was forced to deploy a new version and reboot.  Problem went away as I suspected it would.
I did manage to make the same mistake again this morning (launch the remote panel in 2 different MSIE windows) and after closing them both I could reconnect.  Must be a glitch or a bug?  It'd be interesting to see if anyone else has this problem.  For now...solved, but it would be nice to see a way to fix this without rebooting.
