Is there a minor change in the iPhone app store?

I have an iPhone 4s (OS 6.1.3) with service via AT&T
I DO NOT use iCloud
I went to the app store via my phone and noticed something a little different today compared to a few days ago, and am wondering if Apple made a change
I went to download a free app that I previously had on my phone, but had removed.
I went to get the app this way on my iPhone
App Store>Search> then I typed in the name of the app> Then selected it
In the past (and I mean lake 3-4 days ago) when I would go to get an app that I had previously, when the app would come up instaed of saying Free or some $ price, it woul just say install.
BUT TODAY I notice that since it is an app I had before it does not say install but instead shows that little cloud thing. I do not use iCloud
THIS is the change I mean. Because 2 days ago the same app I went to reinstall said install and did NOT have this cloud thingy.
And I am not talking about restoring apps via update>purchase
SO AGAIN MY QUESTION IS in the last day or two, DID THE iPhone APP Store change how they show previously installed app?
I went to the local apple store and asked if there was a chaneg in the last 2 days, and they had no freaking idea

I do know that in the past if I tried to get previously downloaded apps in the following method:
App Store>Updates>Purchased
The previously purchased but currently deleted app would have the clould thing. But not as I said if I went this route
App Store>Search> then I typed in the name of the app> Then selected it
So that makes me wonder did the app store change thing so that previously downloaded but deleted apps would appear the same way with the little cloud thing?

The operating systems for iOS devices and for Macs are completely different. Applications written for iOS won't run on a Mac no matter what fiddles you try with it. You can sometime extract data by opening the package, but it still won't do you any good. Look in the Mac App Store in your Applications folder to see if there are Mac versions or similar programs (iTunes login required).

App not showing on the iphone App Store

Hi all,
We just released ou iOS app on the App Sore from the state "Pending Developer Release" about 6 hours ago.
Its version 2 of an app that was only available on iPad, but this new version is built fo both iPad and iPhone.
The App Store on iPad has been showing the new version for about 2 hours, but the iPhone App Store doesnt yet show the app.
Its possible that propagation times are different for the different devices' stores? But we were just wondering if anyone has any experience with DPS apps released for iPhone and iPad?
We've looked for the app on the South African store and the USA store but its nowhere to be found. (its configured to be available on all countries' stores) The browser link below is our app - it states that the app is 'designed for both iPhone and iPad' and 'Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch' - so we believe our app itself isnt the problem.

looks like propagation for the ipad app store and the iphone app store are different. our app was on the ipad store after about 5 hours, iphone store took about 11 hours.
(this wasnt for approval, this was after we release it from 'pending developer release')

HT1657 Why can't I change to the US apps store?

I rented a movie 3 days ago from the French ITunes Store. I deleted it before it expired. Yesterday, 48 hours after I rented it, I tried to change to the US app store but they are telling me I can't because I have rentals that have not expired, even know it's been more than 2 days since my last rentals. Why is it not working?

Is there a known issue with the apple app store update page for th ipad?

Is anyone else getting the ipad app store update page problems?
When i go to that page on my ipad i get an error " cannot connect to itunes store " but im allowed to still browse the store. Just cant update my items through he update page..... I do have full bars on my wifi :)

I'm not sure that either of these will work, but you can give them a try.
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

I don't think that this will be the issue - but it can't hurt to look and make sure.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.

Are there any non-game Flash apps in the iPhone App Store and Android Market?

We all know flash can make some pretty nifty games. But I'm wondering if there are any non-game flash apps (adobe AIR) out there in the AppStore and Android Market. What I'm looking for are Flash apps with
1.) forms (textboxes, checkboxes, submit buttons)
2.) scrollable content (such as news feeds long enough to extend past the screen)
3.) grid reports (data shown in a table format)
I'm wondering if these are possible in flash or if it's better to go with java/objectiveC.

It is definitely better to build apps with objective-c. There is not way to say something different.
However, you can build a lot of apps with flash, but they will not have the same feeling of a native apps.
On some instances it might not matter, but even the rotation is different (and in a lot of cases weird)...
You can't access very important features as alerts and though videos show that the next air build will improve speed a lot it is still a little different.
BUT
it is great that you can develop with Flash and if there are more improvements in the next couple of weeks and month it should become more efficient and valuable. For now it is too limited in comparison to objective-c which is sad, since I think that a lot of tiny tweaks could easily be eliminated by Adobe, but to me all current builds look like they have been published far too early and without real world testing (which –again– doesn't mean it is not possible to do a good app). Actually I think that the speed of the apps and systemintegration (game center, alerts, etc.) makes it better to produce everything but games.

Unless you purchased the iPhone direct from Apple in the UK and paid full price either on line or In an Apple Store then it will be locked to a UK Carrier and only that carrier can arrange unlocking
It is unlikely that the iPad is similarly locked as most are sold carrier free unless specifically purchased from a UK carrier as part of a packaged deal involving a subsidy on the price of the iPad ( not very likely but they do exist )

When I want to update apps the message that comes is Your account is not valid for use in the Philippine store. You must switch to the Indian store before purchasing.

I am sure that the app is still available. The apps are shown in search results, so they have to be in the store.
@ razmee: As i say. This happens to every paid app i try try to download. Even such common apps as "cut the rope experiments" e.g. (and you will agree, that this app is available, won't you ?)

How can i adopt the iPhone App-Structure to iTunes for Sync?

Hello Community!
I usually buy apps or games directly over the iPhone-App-Store and i also manage the folder structure directly on the iPhone Screen.
Yesterday i bought a new App via the iTunes Store on my MacBook (don't know why, i thought it would be no problem)
ITunes is set to manual organisation (the box "App Sync" is not set in iTunes).
So my problem is:
I cannot install my recently bought app on my phone without enable synchronisation with iTunes.
But if i set iTunes to app sync it is going to destroy my folder structures and remove apps i bought with the iPhone EVEN if i click "Transfer Purchases"!
Is there a way to manually install the app without destroying my complete structure and losing apps?
Sorry for the critics, but this is not very user-friendly!

Sounds like you accidently got changed to another store....
So, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, and click on your AppleID at the top. Then click on View account, sign in, and then click on Country/Region, and follow the instructions to change your store to South Africa.
That should take care of it!
