Is there a newer version than 3.6.25 that will work with windows 7 and 16 bit?

Hi I am using firefox 3.6.25 version it works fine but certain wesites are not supporting this version anymore they want me to upgrarde to a newer version but I can't. Everytime I use any other version of firefox I get an error from Sendoria saying that the website has been blocked or that there is an error in the way I typed the website address in. I need a stable webbrowser that will work with a 16 bit window 7 machine. The websites are as follows
1. Tube8.com
2. usajobs.gov
3. The other website which is my homepage for email is Verizon.net they do not support the 3.6.25 version anymore and I want to be able to make the companies that I subscribe to happy.

No, 3.6.3 is an older version. 3.6.11 was just released on Monday.

Is there an HDR plug in that will work with the 64 bit version of PSE 13?  I was hoping that NIK HDR Pro2 would work since Elements 13 is now 64 bit, but unfortunately, that is not the case.

The internal speakers work fine when I boot in Windows, but they don't appear as an option in the System Preferences Output selection when in OS X. Does anyone know what command I could use to tell it to use the internal speakers instead?
Ideally it would be great if I could then just click between output options in System Preferences, but any solution at all would be greatly appreciated.
I am not sure if this will help, but if you haven't already checked the settings in the Audio MIDI Setup utility, try 'em out. Most people don't know that utility exists, but it has additional audio routing/muting options that are not in Sound system preferences.

  • What is the latest version of Firefox that will work with Windows ME?

We were recently given an older Gateway laptop that we intend to use solely as an internet terminal. Alas, it is running Windows ME and I don't even know if it has all the specs to upgrade (and certainly not to Vista, which is the only thing we have an install disk for). It currently has Firefox 2.0.0.20, which of course contains numerous security vulnerabilities and is incompatible with most newer plugins. What is the best version of Firefox that will work with Windows ME, and is it still available for download? Thanks!

Hmm... guess this will be just an e-mail terminal, hardly anything else works cuz I can't update Flash! Thanks for your help.

Why not use Lightroom 4 instead?
I mean, assuming you can get it running fast enough, you'll usually get better results with PV2012 - right? And in the cases where you prefer PV2010 (if there are any), it's there too...

  • Version of Photoshop Elements that will works with Windows 7

A few years ago I purchased a Canon scanner 8800F with a bundle that included Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0.2. I recently updated to Windows 7 64 bi,t and have had nothing but trouble trying to get it to work. I have tried removing it and reinstalling, but it just does not work as it did in XP..
I would like to purchase a newer version of Photoshop Elements, but I'm not sure which version will work. It does not have to be the latest version.
    Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Any version from 10, 11, 12 or 13 will work on Windows 7.  You can download the trial versions from this link and see which one you like most:
    <Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10>
When you have decided which one is best for you, you need to go to Amazon website and buy the boxed version and when it arrives, all you need to do is to use the serial number from the box to activate your trial version.  There is no need to reinstall anything again.
Amazon may not have version 10 and 11 so please search for the version they have before installing any trial versions.
    Hope this helps.

  • Has anyone seen a version of CCleaner (Piriform Software) that will work with Mavericks yet?

Looking for CCleaner version supported by Mavericks!

... If I may suggest (to Apple) an effective way to reduce customer concerns would be to define (for non-computer people), those things mentioned as concerns regarding vulnerability. Ex: Which port/s are used by "X" traffic?
Well known TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products
I had a "Nortan" security add-on a while back. Not to thrilled about it except for the multi-layerd firewall. That at least gave me the IMPRESSION of greater awareness and hence control. True or faulse...
Besides the fact that Norton / Symantec's products run poorly on Macs, an impression of security or control is all it will do. Such impresions are detrimental to actual security due to the false comfort it you may perceive from using products like it.
The functions of a "firewall" are frequently misunderstood. Whoever first came up with that term as it applies to computers either regets it, or should.
OS X already includes everything it needs to protect itself from viruses and malware. Keep it updated with software updates from Apple.
The question you should be asking yourself is "how should I protect my Mac":
Never install any product that claims to "speed up", "clean up", "optimize", or "accelerate" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite.
Never install pirated or "cracked" software, software obtained from dubious websites, or other questionable sources. Illegally obtained software is almost certain to contain malware.
Don’t supply your password in response to a popup window requesting it, unless you know what it is and the reason your credentials are required.
Don’t open email attachments from email addresses that you do not recognize, or click links contained in an email:
Most of these are scams that direct you to fraudulent sites that attempt to convince you to disclose personal information.
Such "phishing" attempts are the 21st century equivalent of a social exploit that has existed since the dawn of civilization. Don’t fall for it.
Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.
Don’t install Java unless you are certain that you need it:
Java, a non-Apple product, is a potential vector for malware. If you are required to use Java, be mindful of that possibility.
Disable Java in Safari > Preferences > Security.
Despite its name JavaScript is unrelated to Java. No malware can infect your Mac through JavaScript. It’s OK to leave it enabled.
Block browser popups: Safari menu > Preferences > Security > and check "Block popup windows":
Popup windows are useful and required for some websites, but popups have devolved to become a common means to deliver targeted advertising that you probably do not want.
Popups themselves cannot infect your Mac, but many contain resource-hungry code that will slow down Internet browsing.
If you ever see a popup indicating it detected registry errors, that your Mac is infected with some ick, or that you won some prize, it is 100% fraudulent. Ignore it.
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.
Summary: Use common sense and caution when you use your Mac, just like you would in any social context. There is no product, utility, or magic talisman that can protect you from all the evils of mankind.

  • Is there a driver for eh HP Scanjet 3970 that will work with lion?

The scanner worked fine under snow Leopard.
    HP Scanjet 3970

Gee. not sure I can remember all the steps! It was so much a trial and error process.
I ended up with these apps installed:
VueScan  ( free version) , HP Device Manager Version 1.4.7 (1.4.7), and  HP Scan Pro Version 7.4.6
    Copyright © 1999 - 2007,

I deleted all previous versions of the scanning software that came with my HP scanner 3970
Even though VueScan didn't solve the problems it may have something in it that helped.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi RayBlack.
There is a driver available for the 32-bit version of Windows Vista, however, the L80 does not support printing on the 64-bit version of the Windows operating system.  You can download the driver by clicking on the link below:
FAXPHONE L80 - Drivers and Software
Click the drop-down arrow for [Drivers] and then select the fax printer driver.  Select "I Agree - Begin Download" to download the driver.

  • I only use Windows XP, is there a version of Lightroom that will work with XP

I only use Windows XP, is there a version of Lightroom that will work with XP

Yes if you want to run Version 1....you can still download version 1.4.1 (the last update to Version 1), and your serial number would be good for that.
But if you want to run Version 2 or Version 3 you'll need to buy a new license (i.e. a new serial number), but if you have a valid serial number from any prior version you only have to pay for the upgrade license for the later version, not the full license.

Yes, I too had this problem.
I was issued an update from Apple for a new version software as well as a new version of Lightrooom and now it shows up on the desktop and in finder as it should.

Sorry about above 'pre' font - for some reason it would not let me do a normal post. It should have been as follows:
    I agree.
I use a LaserWriter 16/600 PS plugged into my router via an adaptor.
There are probably many old Color StyleWriters out there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StyleWriter
Some of these had Canon engines and Canon produced their own almost identical versions.

Hello, I have a Mac computer with NVIDIA 750M dedicated graphics card and monitor EIZO but the problem was there when I was working with Windows and Acer monitor. When I open a file from Camera Raw in PS this is smaller than the screen so I double-click with the tool "hand" to fit on the screen, but the picture loses sharpness and becomes blurry. If you magnify the image even only slightly with the tool "zoom" the picture comes back clear. In Camera Raw instead is always sharp. I solve the problem by turning off the graphics card in PS but often use plugin that need the graphics card otherwise the processing time is much longer. I ask for help.
    Thanks.

  • HT1463 Is there a version of "iWork" or "Numbers" that will work on iMac G5 OS 10.8?

Is there a version of "iWork" or "Numbers" that will work on iMac G5 with OS 10.6.8?

Yes; purchase and install an iWork 09 DVD.
While it's impossible for a PowerPC Mac to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8, the answer is the same for a PowerPC Mac running 10.5.8 and an Intel Mac running 10.6.8, so in this case it doesn't matter which one you actually have.

  • Is there a new adapter that will work with iphone 4s to hdmi with ios 8 update

Hi just wondering if there is an adapter out there that will work with the new IOS 8 update -- iphone 4s to HDMI.  Ever since I updated mine will not work.  Same thing for the iPad mini.  I want to purchase my daughters the iPad Mini for Christmas but will not unless there is an adapter capable of doing this.

This is not my problem. However, I think it may be related to an old speaker. I was using the 30 pin adapter for about a week after the upgrade to 7.1.2. But I think with the update the speaker won't work anymore. I will try with a new speaker system. Thank you for trying to assist.

Canon Pixma iP4950 works great with my PPC G5 iMac on Leopard. Maybe other of their models do as well.
