When I purchased Photoshop years ago, I was able to physically receive the program to download onto my computer. There was the one time purchase fee and no requirement to have a cloud. Is this sort of option still available? I don't need the cloud, and I don't want to have to pay an annual/monthly bill; there are plenty of other bills to monitor in life.

There is no good solution for storing the Library in the Cloud. The amount of data involved means that uploading or downloading is very, very slow. We do see posts on here from people trying to restore from a back up to the Cloud wondering if it's possible to speed up the download currently estimated in days. Running a Library from the cloud is just painfully slow - people have tried it and that is the consensus.
However, as part of a comprehensive back up plan there is a lot to be said for backing up your Photos to the cloud. Not as good as backing up the whole Library, but as a "last line" you at least have your photos. There are many options: Flickr, Picasa, SmugMug etc. However, check the terms of your account carefully. While most sites have free uploading, you will often find that these uploads are limited in terms of the file size or the bandwidth you can use per month. For access that allows you to upload full size pics with no restrictions you may need to pay.

I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen, and whenever I plug it into one particular computer, it has trouble detecting the camera's files (but it works on all others). I know this tells me that it's either a driver conflict, or something in the BIOS. I don't particularly want to be messing about in the BIOS though if I'm completely honest. Can anyone give any insight as to what my ipod is conflicting with/why it won't open in Windows.
The only time the iPod opens in Windows is if I go into 'Devices and Printers' and troubleshoot the device "Apple iPod" (Apple Mobile Device USB Driver works fine) but I have to do this every single time!
The computer I am using is running Windows 7 64-bit.
I have looked at the list of conflicting drivers which are given by Apple and I own no drivers by any of these manufacturers as far as I know.

Connecting the Ethernet will disable the wireless by design.
Each of these connection methods look like two different devices to the network (with different MAC addresses and potentially different IP addresses). Since there is just one printer, having what looks like two different devices on the network at once would lead to mass confusion for devices trying to access the printer.

I'm sorry for your unfortunate situation. This question is asked time and time again - sadly no, you cannot set up "Find my Mac" after it's lost or stolen. The whole point is that you have to set it up before you lose contact with it.
When you get a new Mac, this is one of the first screens you see - "Do you want to set up iCloud to Find My Mac?". I don't understand why anyone would answer "No".
There are third-party location utilities, but again, you have to set them up when the computer is still in your possession. I use Undercover by Orbicule - allows you to locate the computer and take webcam snapshots and keylogs of the person using it. I also have iCloud set up, so I have two options for location should it get lost or stolen.

I am trying to find out what I can do, to get adobe to open up a pdf file so that I can read all pages, without having to download the document first. I get the first page only; then I download and have access to all pages. Then I delete. Seems like such a long process. Is there another way? Do I need to download a different adobe?

How are you seeing your document on iCloud from your laptop? Web browser, or OS X Pages open dialog?
If you have MS Word or .pages formatted files parked on iCloud, the web interface will not permit their download as PDF, and in fact, PDF is an inactive option in that download menu for these word processing files. There is no copy facility available, but duplicate functionality exists from the iWork category within the iCloud web presence.
If you have Pages v4.2 or later installed on your (assumption: Mac) laptop, launch Pages and in the open file dialog, select iCloud on the dialog toolbar. Now, press and hold the option key as you drag and drop a copy of our document from iCloud to your desktop. The reverse works also.
See if you can open that document on your laptop now.

One time purchase

The website is not clear about what you are purchasing. Is the current sale price of $104 for premiere elements a one time purchased product or is this an annual subscription price? Also, how do I get the DVD/Rom for the product if I do purchase it. I do not see that as an option but I like to have the disk as a backup.

Adobe does not sell the box packaged Premiere Elements which includes the Windows/Mac installation discs. For that you need to purchase the product from an authorized reseller. You can always purchase the download from Adobe and then save the installation files to your own disc as your backup.

what you're missing to export multiple files is the batch export command available in the file menu or by control clicking on the items in the browser. You can export multiple sequences/clips at full resolution with this.

Correct. That box is typically checked by default. There are other default settings you could change that would not result in a full-quality version, but what I meant was hitting that option from the pull-down menu, then changing nothing and hitting ok.

Today, two other users reported issues with the back-forward history list dropping down if they hovered the mouse pointer over the back or forward button -- without clicking -- and then moved the pointer downwards.
