Is there a patch to help Dreamweaver work without problems in vista?

Please let me know if there is a patch I can download to make
Dreamweaver compatible with Vista. The problems are numerous and
are driving me nuts at the moment. Can you upgrade to DW CS3 from
the website?

There could be a 32 bit vs 64 bit issues-is the old machine a 32 bit? and what is the new machine as far as 32/64 bit. I am not sure now if CS5 has in the help menu of the PS app the selection to update within PS if so that might work. I know that the Creative cloud app for installs updates etc has caused me much consternation over the last couple few years. How come when I update Firefox in Ubuntu, the existing french language package is not functional while in Windows, it always works without problems?

When I upgrade Firefox (French, from 13.0 to 13.0.1) in Ubuntu, the existing french language pack does not work, while in Windows 7, it does work without problems. It seems to me that the language pack should be system independent.
This problem happens in Ubuntu everytime there is an upgrade, and it is usually very difficult to find the correct language file that wors in Ubuntu. Again, in Windows, no such problem.
I am puzzled.

You always need to reinstall language packs if you update Firefox because the updater doesn't seem to be able to find them on its own.

Mozilla can't find a valid PDF file to open in a browser, but Chrome or IE work without problem. Why?

The system I'm running is Scientific Linux.
PDF files, I need to open in a browser, are on the file server, but in the same folder as my html files, etc.
So, in HTML I gave the link to some PDF to open it in the browser, however, Mozilla says it can't find the file by the given URL.
Proper permissions to access the files are given.
All is lowercase, no spelling error.
On Chrome, on the same computer, everything works fine.
I've also tested on Windows, still Chrome or IE work without problem.
Any ideas?

I've checked the link, and everything is set to its normal form in my browser.
Otherwise this particular case, the browser has no problems viewing PDF files,
but here, when I try to open the PDF (using HTML code, say,
href="downloads\file1.pdf" where "downloads" is a folder on the same level as the html file) then the error I am getting is this
Not Found
The requested URL (the name) was not found on this server.

Access denied in Windows 2012 Server Manager after a period of time working without problems

Hello,
I had 2 servers with windows 2012 installed in a domain (dc is in a 3rd server) and both added to server manager of each other. Both servers had Failover cluster installed and configured roles. After startup in both servers i can see the other and manage
it without problems (in server manager and failover cluster manages) but after a period of 30-40 minutes in both servers I see "Online - Data Retrieval failures Ocurred" for the partner server and "Online - Access Denied" for local server.
When I access de Failure Cluster Manager I had errors accessing resources and roles and can´t failover the cluster.
I removed the failover cluster thinking that could be the original problem, remove servers from domain, change names and add again to the domain without install failover cluster.
Now, the servers have not the failover cluster feature and the problem persists. 30-40 minutes after boot the server manager show messages of inaccesible partner with same messages. I tried to execute powershell commands to add a new ip to the NIC and I
receive a Access Denied Message and show Access Denied message in other events in log.
I´m using Domain Administrator Account and tried different solutions but not solved. I saw that this message can occur in a variety of different scenarios, but i don´t know why works during a period of time before failing. It´s frustrating

EDITED: in detail of Online - Data retrieval failures i see that: Configuration refresh failed with the following error: The metadata failed to be retrieved from the server, due to the following error: The WS-Management service cannot process the request.
The WMI provider returned an 'access denied' error.

It seems is this two server has register the incorrect DNS, please try to add this server manage NIC IP to your manager hosts file or if possible trmpory disable the useless NIC DNS register. This issue also some times caused by when you installed
the HP insignth management, if in your environment you have this tools please temporarily uninstall it.

Why my mac mini died during a power cut (about 1 or 2 minutes), then it is connected to an inverter that works without problems?

Hi everybody!
It seemed to me that a device connected to an inverter does not spontaneously extinguished, unless said inverter no longer load!
However, there was a break of about 1 to 2 minutes during the night. And I find my mac mini off, I mean off! not in pause! while the monitor itself is paused.
And I had to restart 2 times because the first time it did not recognize my password!
So can somebody tell me if it's "normal" or if there's a bug somewhere?

Daddy is right - my advice to customers has always been to use no more than 85% to 90% of their drive's capacity in OS X. Now that we are getting to the point where a 250GB drive is the norm, I'm starting to think about revising that advice a bit but still, there's good reason for it.
OS X is constantly creating, revision, and deleting caches. Temporary files are created and later deleted. Virtual Memory swaps files in and out as your program use overloads the mount of RAM you have. There's lots going on in the background and when your drive gets close to full it slows things down. And the closer you come to filling the drive, the harder it is for OS X to automatically keep disk fragmentation to a minimum which can further slow it down.

Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
Of course, I could use --force or deinstall poppler, jre & co. with dependencies and reinstall it after other packages were upgraded. I will do so, anyway. But seriously, with upgrades this files do exist in filesystem, of course the do. And this can't be the standard way with virtually every upgrade. Is there a pacman issue I haven't found here? Is there another workaround?

What Mac do you have? Starting with verion 9.1, Logic Pro required an Intel Processor, something the pre-2006 PowerMacs this forum covers lack.

Software update and iLife help not working in Admin account

For the last few weeks (maybe since iLife 11 was installed) software update and iLife help has quit working on the single administration account on my iMac. All works fine on the secondary accounts.
If I try to use software update it says everything is up to date, even though I know there are updates available that can be seen if checking from a different account on the machine. In iLife, if I try to access the help files it tells me I need to download them. I click to download and after a few seconds it takes me back to the front help page and I then go through the entire process again but the help download never happens. On secondary accounts the help files work no problem.
I've tried many of the tips for deleting helpfile plists, but nothing seems to work for me.
Can any kind person list for me everything I should look to delete or move in the account to get these things working again?

Since the issue is specific to your original user account, you can proceed in two ways. One is to log into your new account, make a list of the preference files (plists) located in /username/Library/Preferences/, including any in the ByHost subfolder, log back into the original account, move everything on that other account's list from the original account's Preferences folder into a newly created folder on the Desktop, log out and back in, and see if the problem goes away. If so, you can copy the ones in the Desktop folder (one at time) back into /Preferences/, restart, and see if the problem returns. If so, you've identified the corrupt/conflicting one. Continue with all of them until isolating the bad ones. That'll save you the trouble of resetting preferences.
The second way is much more detailed and I'll not burden you with the steps unless the above doesn't fix the issue.

There is no difference in terms of usage and features between a trial version and a licensed version.
Could you tell me do you get any specific error message when it crashes, or does it crash while using a particular feature, or is it random?
Can you also try with a different user account (admin) on your MAC, check if it behaves same there?

Last time i was on this forum i said i won't come back for some years because it's too advanced for me...but now i have this problem and i really want to solve it. I created a music player using JMF. But, if i want to move it on another computer, it requires to install JMF on that computer too. Is there any way to make JMF work without installing it... something like including a JAR in my project? If it is possible, could you explain me the steps, please? A music player isn't very good if it requires two programs to be installed in order to make it work (i mean Java 1.6 and JMF).

If you're using / doing anything that isn't supported by the cross-platform pack then you'll have to have JMF installed in order to run your program.
You can, of course, package the JMF installer with your own installer, and kick off the JMF installation process as part of your process. You can also track the location of the installed files and install JMF yourself, but, that's going to be complicated, tricky, and probably pretty brittle.
