Is there a place in my CS6 that will show the key so I can have Mac do a data transfer?
My college provided all design graduates with a Macbook with CS6 Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Bridge, Extension manager, and Flash installed and registered with the key to Adobe. My laptop that they gave has gone bad and is being replaced this weekend by myself since my school won't fix it(per their contract they are required to so I plan to go after them for this but int he meantime) The school never provided us with the license key for this CS6, they did the install themselves, is there a place in my programs on my laptop that I can go to in order to get this key so I can have Mac do a data transfer?

However, it doesn't help in my situation, I didn't [urchase this or install it directly thru Adobe, as stated my college, College america(famous for their promotion that if you go to school with them and graduate you get a free laptop with all of CS6 included) this means they installed it as a mass install on all Design students laptops. They originally gave us CS5 then sent us a link to a site for upgrading to CS6, the email said this from the college;

When downloading the upgrade it (I guess, just speculating here) had the license bult in because it was never displayed it just downloaded and
i have used it ever since. I of course tried contacting the school for this but when you graduate from them, and are no longer a potential student they can suck up to sell you on their courses, they stop responding and being nice.
Does anyone have any other ideas? Is there a spot in the programs where if I open preferences in my Mac book or if I open he programs I can click something that displays the license in my laptop?

I don't know of any keyboard shortcut to jump to the last photo, but if you option click the end of the scrollbar in the film strip you will jump to the last photo in the film strip.

Thank you for the question. In our scenario, we are not quoting a specific quantity. We are quoting the scales. Below is a theoretical example:
Customer: 12345
Validity period: 21.03.2014 - 30.06.2014
Material: 123456 Widget with order UoM of EA
Price:
Up to 10,000 EA: $2.25/1EA
10,001 EA to 50,000 EA: $2.00/1EA
50,0001 +: $1.75/1EA
I am very familiar with inquires and quotations, and I understand that we can maintain scale price condition records and the price routine will determine the price based on the quantity of the inquiry, quotation, or order. Unfortunately, I do not have a quantity to enter in the quotation. I only have the scales. I do hope this clarifies the question.

I was told of an application that will allow the use of a second screen to view my data and files, but I forgot its name. I'd like to make the connection because my LCD is broken.
You don't need an application, just plug a compaitble monitor into the display port of your MacBook Pro, set the screen up in System Preferences>Displays

My iPhone 4 shows the carrier name, I can go online with my data plan, but there are no bars and I can't make phone calls.
It worked for some time, less than a week, I made phone calls and all, and all of a sudden the problem mentioned above happened. Now I can't make any phone calls. I can go online with it, even with my Data plan, I can go to the app store (of course) but can't make any phone calls.

Also try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple lo comes up again. You will not lose any data doing this.

I often work with long pieces of text that are too long to be fitted inside a pre-determined text box.
I want to know how much text is not appearing inside of my text box without having to change the size of the text box. Is there any way of doing that? Perhaps via plug-in?If there is more text than will fit inside an area text object, the out port of the object will show as a red + sign. Select the object with the Selection tool. Click on the red + and the pointer becomes a "loaded text" icon. Click and drag on an empty space of the artboard, creating a new text object containing the overflow text. It may be necessary to resize the new text object to view all remaining text.

Is there a utility that will show the actual ram voltage in Windows?
Sorry for the newbie question. ASUS had this utility that showed the actual ram voltage in windows. I don't think it'd work with an MSI motherboard. And I don't think any of the overclocking utilities show the actual ram voltage. The reason I asked was because the ASUS P5N-D overvolted my ram by .1 volts. If I set 2.2v in the BIOS, it would overvolt the ram to 2.3v. That's not exactly the greatest thing. I just wanted to check if my brand spanking new P7N Diamond is doing the ram voltage accurately. It should be right? Oh and I have cheapo Patriot memory ram. It's rated at 2.2 volts. Seems like all PC2 6400 ram is rated at 2.2 volts these days though. Maybe a 2.1v somewhere but that's becoming more and more rare. Thanks.
yeah... LOL. Everest shows what you've set it to. I can just look in the BIOS or just like remember 2 seconds into the past. :-P I guess there isn't something for that. Just as I thought. I wonder if I can trick the ASUS utility into thinking that I'm running an ASUS board. :-P Probably wouldn't work right anyway though.

Acorrding to the technical specs, it shoots mpeg4/h.264... However, I see other places mention it is MTS...
Do you still have the original file structure intact? Or do you have just individual movie files? whats the extension? .MTS, .MPEG4, MOV?
If MTS and you no longer have the original file sturcute intact, you need to use Clipwrap, if you do have the original files structure, you may be able to import using Log and Transfer.... -
Does anyone know how to access sms text messages from iphone 5c backup from icloud or itunes? Apparently SMS can be restored so data I need must be stored in backup. I need to print a series of abusive/threatening SMS messages received on my iphone 5c from one sender. I need the time, date & whatever data is stored about source/sender of messages, as well as content. How can I access this data to create a chronological record of the abusive SMS messages and can I preserve the iphone's message log specifically-- so I can access records of these texts without having to restore a back-up? I need to do this to provide evidence for my solicitor and preserve that evidence for future court proceedings, thank you.

Script that will show the character count of all carriage resturns
I have found a bug when exporting an indd to idml. If a a carriage return falls in a character count that is a multiple of 8000 + 1 it is converted to a paragraph separator (u2029). I am in the process of mass exporting around 3000 files to idml for a project. I am trying to come up with a way with a script to check the files to see if carriage returns exist in these locations. I am fairly new to scripting and don't know how this would be done. I know it is possible to get character counts but is it possible to check if a character exists in a certain character count from the beginning of a story? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Also has anyone else ran into this with exporting to idml? I have submitted a bug report. This is can be recreated across multiple computers, OS's and versions of InDesign.@Blujely – about your initial question about showing a specific character at an n-th position in a story, you could use a simple GREP search in InDesign and restrict that search to a specific story (e.g. the story of a selected piece of text):
Search for the n-th position with the formular in dummy-syntax:
Positive look behind of any character in the exact length n-1 + character
E.g. if you want to look for a "carriage return", defined in GREP as \n at every 10th position, search for:
(?<=.{9})\n
In your case that would be:
(?<=.{8000})\n

It is said that "A picture is worth a thousand words" but without context it is only a picture. With context a photo can become a slice of life. Is there an app that will show the viewer the metadata that belongs to that picture?
