Sorry, but I did scour all of the topics and couldn't find a good place to ask this
My company is building a website that will be of interest to college students. We are going to accept advertising at some point. In the interim, we're going to seed the site with free ads. One thing we'd like to do is include some of the great ads that Apple produces, at no cost, of course.
So, is it illegal to put Apple ads at a website? A quick Google search sees lots of people posting them here and there. Is it okay, or is it something Apple just doesn't pursue because free publicity is not a bad thing?
We, um, don't wish to be sued by Apple, of course, and I suspect this forum isn't the place for legal advice, but I figured perhaps someone here could enlighten us on a few rules or point out a direction for us to pursue this. After all, the more people who see the ads, the better, no?

Foxfire 3.6.13 crashes often in an internet session. I could find no other place to post the question,

about 2 updates ago, Foxfire began crashing. Because of all the problems with hackers and continual threats, I tried all the malware, spyware, and antivirus software first. None of them have helped and the crashes have increased. Up until that time, Foxfire was the most stable and safe browser I could use. Now it refires googlebreak without asking in the middle of a project I am doing online. I have done everything I know to do.

You can use the Autohide extension in zombie mode to remove the chrome if you do not want to use full screen mode.

The hard drive icon has mysteriously disappeared off of my desktop and I have NO CLUE how to get it back! I also added another hard drive and that icon as well, does not show up on the desktop. If I load a cd in the drive, it will show up - but my hard drive(s) won't.

Try this:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. Then select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now shutdown the computer for a couple of minutes and then restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Hi, I would like to submit a suggestion I believe should be in OS X? It is when I use headphones I would like to "clap' sound or whatever that is from adjusting the volume to be a lower volume when i am on headphones. It hurts my ears and i use headphones often and adjust volume often too. So I would appreciate it if you could do this next update

WE INSTALLED LANGUAGE SPANISH (langinst.cmd) AND OUR CONTENT AREAS HAVE DEFAULT LANGUAGE "SPANISH"(NO ENGLISH TRANSLATION) .
OUR PAGES/NAVIGATION BARS/STYLES/ETC... WERE CREATED BEING CONNECTED TO THE PORTAL IN SPANISH.
WE DON'T WANT TO SHOW THE "LANGUAGE" PORTLET FOR USERS TO CHANGE BETWEEN SPANISH AND ENGLISH AND WE DON'T WANT THE PORTAL TO DISPLAY IN ENGLISH IF THE BROWSER SETTING IS ENGLISH.
I READ SOMEWERE THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO "UNINSTALL" A LANGUAGE, THEREFORE I ASSUME WE CANNOT ELIMINATE THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
CAN WE CONFIGURE SOMEHOW "SPANISH" AS A DEFAULT AND "UNIQUE"LANGUAGE SO ALWAYS THE PORTAL DISPLAYS IN SPANISH ??

This script looks for the language in the NLS_LANGUAGE cookie. It this cookie does not exist then the language defaults to Spanish because of the code is_language_set('es', 'e', 'SPAIN', l_url). Please make sure to delete the NLS_LANGUAGE cookie, if it exists.
Please note that this code will work for 3.0.9. In case you want to implement something similar to this on 3.0.8, the code containing the mobile support has to be removed. You can contact me, should you have any questions.

Is anyone out there that can help me? Questions about connecting to new PC

I had to replace my PC & do not have a backup for my phone. I have copied photos to flashdrive to put on new one, but not sure what to do about contacts. I have looked around the discussions & did the transfer purchases from iphone, so hopefully that will take care of things bought on the phone. Someone discussed how to create a backup, by right clicking under device. If I do this to my phone before I sync with the new computer, will I be able to create a backup that I can use to salvage all the info on my phone that I can't drag & store on my own? Or will this delete all of my phone information, just like syncing with the new computer will? I appreciate all of the anticipated help, this is not my forte!
I posted last night, but no help............hoping it was just bad timing......

Okay! I have been dipping in the pool a toe at a time. I backed up the phone, never could find it in my files, but whatever. I synced notes, calendar & contacts, one at a time & everything copied to my PC. Now, I have to move on to the real world & get things done. But will attempt later to salvage music & ringtones. If you have any advice.....
