Is there a pre-payment option for the iPad 4G LTE?

Hello Everyone,
I was told that the iPad has a pre-payment option. However, when I talked to a few operators (I got dropped twice, thanks to ATT), but all of them had mentioned a pre-payment option. The reason why this interests me is because I am a very frugal person so I like the idea that I don't have to use all my data allowance all in that one month. What I had been told was that I can actually purchase 3gigs of data, pay for it, and not have to worry about that sneaky recurring, monthly payments. In addition, I was told that there is no expiration date for that 3gigs, and that if it takes me three months to go through the 3 gigs, then I am allowed that time. Versus the regular monthly plan that has no rollover. If you don't use the 3 gigs by the month's time, you lose it. I would so prefer to have the pre-payment option therefore, since I can use up every last kilobyte, instead of conserving only to have the next month arrive and lose whatever I had.
I hope this is clear.
Thank you for reading everyone!

Will the standard iPad case fit the the iPad Air or is there a specific type case for the iPad Air?

The air is different dimensions from other iPads, so look for cases made specifically for it. I know that Targus has some, so does Zagg and i'm sure other manufacturers do as well.

Meg's and Jim's suggestions will probably find what you are looking for.  However, it might be more convenient to use a small DC-to-AC converter that plugs into your car's lighter socket, and use the iPad's wall charger with that.

  • What are payment options for the upgrade?

I was wondering if I can buy the 2.0 upgrade for the $9.95 on the iTunes store with a iTunes gift card? Or will I need to use a credit card for it?

I think is a bunch of bull you have to pay for the update iphone users dont. And before you say it they pay monthly to AT&T not apple.
You really need to do your research on this subject.
I software is free to iPhone users NOT because of the contracts that people have with AT&T.
It is free because Apple decided to account for the iPhone (and Apple TV) differently.
When you pay your $400 for the iPhone they do not recognise the full $400 as a sale.
What they do (and this has been very clearly stated by Apple), is take 1/24 of the $400 each month.
This is not money from AT&T is is the money that was paid for the phone.
Now because in effect Apple are not taking the revenue and profit for the full phone at point of sale and instead only take a % every month the buyer is paying for the phone over the 24 month period.
Therefore Apple can and will give free software updates because in effect the product sold is not complete and can take money as they add features.
This complicated accounting method was caused by the EXON issues and the Sabane Oxley laws that resulted from that case.
If you would like to know more, so that you understand rather than rant, you can read more here in an excellent article that explains it in more detail :-
    http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/08/06/25/thehidden_financial_impact_of_applesiphone.html
The iPod touch on the other hand is accounted for like all other products, all revenue / profit taken at time of sale. If Apple gave the software Upgrades (not bug fixes as they are free) away for free they would be breaking the law as it would deprive shareholders of potential revenue that should have been charged for adding features to a product that has been already sold. That is why we ahd to pay for the iMac Airport 'N' drivers as well.

  • I am a student working on a project for school and I need to know the bandwidth options for the iPad mini with retina display

I am working on a project where I am required to introduce a new product for consideration in the hospital setting.  I have chosen the iPad mini, and have been able to locate the information that I need except for the bandwidth options.  Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what you mean by "bandwidth options". If you mean the frequencies and bands the iPad can use with cell carriers, those are listed in the Wireless and Cellular area of the tech specs. For iPads sold in the US, see:
    http://www.apple.com/ipad-mini/specs/
If that's not what you meant, please post back and clarify what you mean by "bandwidth options".
    Regards.

  • Why is there no iOS 6 update for the iPad 1?

Does anyone know why the original iPad can't be updated with iOS 6?

The decision to support the 3GS instead of the iPad (which has a faster processor) has been open to wide debate. General consensus has been that the iPad is no longer sold, whereas the 3GS still is. However many people, especially developers, have stated that although the iPad has superior hardware, its hardware is still proportionally weaker than the 3GS. The iPad has more than quadruple the pixels to power than the 3GS, yet still uses the same graphics processor. The iPad also has the same amount of RAM, 256 MB, which in proportion to its screen resolution, is hardly enough. The only hardware advantage the iPad has is a faster processor. However, the processor is not enough to make up for the lack of RAM and graphics power. As a result, there have been numerous complaints on the performance of iOS 5 on the iPad. The 3GS, on the other hand, had generally positive reviews of smooth performance on iOS 5 (some even claim better performance), making it still a good candidate for iOS 6. Last week, Apple announced that they will no longer be selling and supporting the iPhone 3GS, therefore meaning iOS 6 will be the final iOS to support the 3GS.

  • Hello, is there any removable hard drives for the iPad?

Does anyone know if there is a removable hard drive that can be used with an iPad, ie backing up working emails from my laptop but being able to access them on the iPad from the hard drive?

Thanks, the problem I have is, I access a lot of archived emails on my laptop but as we all know this is quite a long winded thing to do when you have to switch a laptop on and off thought out the day.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Is there a lens correction profile for the IPad Air 2 in LR available?

I would like to use the lens correction in LR on pics I took with my IPad Air 2.
    Is there a profile available?

There are no profiles available for any Apple iPads (There are a few for iPhones only).
I checked through the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader software and no profiles listed for Apple devices there either.
Your choices would be to wait and see if Adobe ever adds a profile or to create your own using the Adobe Lens Profile Creator .
See the profile list and link for the Lens Creator software here:

  • Is there a Flash Player version for the IPAD?

Is there a Flash Player version compatible that will work on the IPAD?

no, and there never will be.
If you want flash content  you can look for browsers that support flash. I see iSwiffer, Photon and Skyfire recommended here.
