Is there a Preferences option on kindle as with Adobe Reader 11?

Can I set display preference to show white text against black background on my kindle?

You can turn Night Mode on by clicking on the rectangular icon with horizontal icons in the document toolbar and then selecting the night mode option.
This setting lets you view your document with white text against black background.

  • Is there an easy way to allow usrs with Adobe Reader to add images to a PDF form?

We are using Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro.
We are currently using the "Ruber Stamp" tool to add customer logos to our forms in order to "Brand" the forms for our customers to use with thier customers.
We would like to make this a simpler process, self-service if possible.
We currently add fillable fields to the form and save with Adobe Extended Features so the customers can fill out the form for their customers and save the changes.
Is it possible to add a field where the customer could click on it as be prompted to load a .jpg ir giff into the field in order to brand it themselves?
They would need to be able to save the change just like all the other fillable fields.
    Any thoughts on this one?
If we can't make it self service, is there a better way to do it internally than the Rubber Stamp wher ethe technician could click on the cielf and input the image directly rather than first creating the stamp?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Steve

If you can get your users to use Reader 11, there is a way to do what you want if they are able to convert the images to PDF first. This is relatively simple these days as Ofiice applications can do it and anyone on the Mac can use Preview to convert an image to PDF. It involves setting up a button so that its layout is something other than label only and using the following code in the button's Mouse Up event:
    event.target.buttonImportIcon();
This is not available with previous versions of Reader, but it is available with all versions of Acrobat, so you'll be able to test it with Acrobat 10. For more information, see the documentation: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.739.html

I have Windows 7, Microsoft Outlook and PSE 13. I have used the "Share photos as embedded images" feature frequently, but today when I went to use it, it wasn't there, only the option to send email with files attached. How do I get back the ability to send emails with photos embedded. I like adding the frames and backgrounds and I think it's easier for recipients to look at the photos. Thanks for any suggestions of things to try.

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage.  Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever.  After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed.  They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself.  After that, the pics go over imessage.  My own Iphone didn't have the problem.  We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

There are no viruses currently affecting the Mac but there is something called Flashback which is malware that has been doing the rounds and affected many Mac users. Apple have released some updates to Java that should remove it and improve protection. Run Software Update to see if there is anything for downloading.
A few precautions that can help prevent your Mac becoming infected:
If you use Flash only download it directly from Adobe.
In all web browsers disable Java (but do leave Javascript on as that's something else).
In all web browsers make sure downloaded files aren't set to automatically open after downloading.
Consider disabling Java completely (launch Java Preferences in the Utilities folder and disable it - you'll likely rarely, if ever need it. If you do just turn it on and off again when your done).

  • Is there any way to find text highlighted in adobe reader and automatically copy it to comment boxes?

If I use a pdf highlighted in Adobe Reader (metro) in another PDF reading program, one with functionality to retrieve and list various annotations on the PDF, it simply finds "sticky note" as Adobe Reader highlights the text but fails to copy and paste it into a 'highlight' comment box. I intend to use another program with this feature automatic, from this point forward, but is there any way I can retroactively and automatically do this same task to all the other work I've done with Adobe Reader? It is, as I understand, a standard function of PDF annotation.
Of course, ideally, I would also like this to be automatic in the future, as the Adobe Reader Metro App is generally well-designed, touch-interface wise. But this lacking feature makes finding my comments a much greater hassle than it should be (as I can see where I highlighted, but not what without traveling directly to the page)
Also on a side note, I apparently can't delete a sticky note from within the app, what the hell

You cannot enforce something like that. You have some options when the field is set up to allow rich text formatting, but the user can always change it.

  • Email pdf to iPad - is there a way to open multiple pdfs at one time without having to hold each individually and open with adobe reader?

I have a large number of pdf files to send to an iPad and it is taking forever to hold down each one and then choose to open with adobe reader.  Just wondering if there is a way to select all from the email to do the same action?

Not that i know of but an alternate would be to use something like dropbox instead of mail. Their app works very well.

  • No printer option or printer icon in Adober Reader

I have no printing option or printer icon in Adobe Reader, using Windows 8, downloaded most recent version of Reader

Please keep the problem in one topic.

  • Reader 9 - "Print" and "Open with Adobe Reader..." options are missing from the right-click menus.

Since upgrading from Reader 8 to Reader 9, Windows XP users are no longer able to right-click 1 or more PDF files from Windows Explorer and choose either "Print" or "Open with Adobe Reader...". Those options are no longer listed in the right-click menu. We have experienced this on several computers.  I downgraded a PC to Reader 8, and these options re-appeared, then disappeared again when I upgraded back to Reader 9.

Could you tell me which version of Reader 9 you are installing?
Please give the exact version it is showing you from Help | About Adobe Reader.

It sounds as if you downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you did, uninstall it. Then repair Adobe Reader.
The free Acrobat account has no connection to any of this.

  • Why are there free fonts included with Adobe Reader?

I noticed that there is a folder with free Adobe fonts included with Adobe Reader. The fonts are Courier Std, Minion Pro and Myriad Pro.
Why are these fonts included? Will these fonts be included with future versions of Adobe Reader?

The fonts are only for use with Adobe Reader. You should not attempt to use them for any other purpose. They are included with software that is free of charge, but still subject to license and may not be copied to other systems...
All versions of Adobe Reader have included some fonts, but they change.
They are mainly there to help Adobe Reader show PDF files that do not embed fonts, to generate substitutions in a wide range of sizes and shapes.

  • How to include the option for people to download adobe reader in an email campaign?

We need to attach some terms & conditions as a PDF in our mails (sending to a few thousand people), but would like to include an option to download adobe reader to read the PDF if they haven't already got one.
Is this a simple 'link to download page' or is there a widget/code or something that already exists for this? Just to make it quick & simple for email readers
    Many thanks in advance!

  • How do I change my internet preferences to use Preview instead of adobe reader?

Somehow my preferences have been changed so that when I open a .pdf file in Safari, it opens using Adobe Reader. How do I change this setting so these files open up using Preview?

I TRASHED Adobe Reader... where it belongs. Somehow, and sadly, Apple dropped the GET INFO from under the program name, where it had been before. Command I is now short hand for Command Inspector - i.e. no longer Command Info as was in previous versions of OS X.
So, under Command I, there is no selection to make Preview the Default PDF viewer. How 'bout that? Sad is what I say. I think Apple should be a little weary here, go on Offense, and have an OBVIOUS workout to make Preview, any/all of its programs, the Default program.

  • Sign option is missing from my Adobe Reader X (10.1.3)

I am using Adobe Reader X (10.1.3) and have found that my Sign icon/option, that was once available, is now gone. When I bring down the drop down list under View then go to Show/Hide-Toolbar Items-File the Sign icon is not there. On the far right side of my command bar the options available are Tools and Comment. When I click on Tools my only options are Create PDF FIles-Export PDF Files-Send Files. While using this version of Adobe Reader X I have been able to sign documents now all of a sudden this option is gone. How can I restore the Sign option?

We are running Citrix XenApp 6.5 and publishing a desktop from 6 2008R2 Servers. Non of the users have local admin rights to the servers. Some of the users launch Adobe 11.0.2 and get the "Sign" button between Tools and Comments. Others do not. I have done the following:
    Uninstalled and reinstalled
    Verified settings between users.
I dont understand why the users are getting different results when they are using the same program on the same server. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.

  • Issues with Adobe Reader XI -- lost "submit" button option

When I updated to Adobe Reader XI, the "submit" button that was located in the fillable form (in the purple bar) disappeared. When I downgraded to Adobe Reader X, the "Submit" button reappeared. Why is the option no longer available in XI?

    Some things to try...
    update to 11.0.5
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

  • Is there a way to create videos 'fast' with adobe products?

I am an affiliate marketer. I have produced a video  Inspro Program: personal development planned and achieved - YouTube and I would like to know if there are ways to create videos within maybe 10 minutes with Adobe products. Please suggest a quick method.

Turnaround times ultimately depend on the skill of the person doing the work just as much as the programs' capabilities. And 10 minutes for editing a video? That's just ridiculous. Importing/ exporting footage or tweaking voice-over audio alone could take longer as could replacing/ re-typing text.
