Is there a Pro*C forum?

Is there a Pro*C mailing list or newsgroup specifically for
Pro*C?
Thanks.

Hi,
The precompiler (proc.exe) does not require .net framework. The precompiler is a standalone exe that will generate c code from the proc code. Once it generates the C code you'll need to have a C/C++ compiler to compile that of course, but proc.exe does not have any .net dependencies.
Hope that helps,
Greg

  • Is there a "pro" version of QuickTime Player 10?

I'm still using QuickTime Player 7 Pro. Is there a "pro" version of QuickTime Player 10?

Screen recording? How does that work?
    Question is unclear.
QT 7 Pro does not have a "screen capture" option.
Screen capture software apps divide CPU power between processing/rendering of the screen and processing/capturing the rendered data. In the case of most apps, capture routines have a targeted data data dependent on the quality setting, CPU power available and area to be recorded. Thus, larger recording areas and CPU intensive processing tend to decrease the frame rate of the captured "scratch" file but retain a relatively consistent level of quality for each frame which, in turn, may effect the final output,
Many users, especially those having older, QT 7 Pro only operating systems, elect to purchase third-party screen captures that allow the capture of both system, line input, and/or mic audio, as well as, capture at full screen, "object" window, or user selected portions of the screen. While there may be some free capture software still available for download, most users opt for commercial apps which offer additional features usually targeting specific user workflows. These may range for simple apps like the Araelium ScreenFlick ($29) to intermediate apps like Ambrosia's Snaps Pro X ($69) to combined capture/tutorial editor apps like Telestream's ScreenFlow 4. (I would normally advise potential screen capture app users to research and try out the various applications that are available to see what best suits their individual needs.)

  • There should be seperate forum for ABAP HR

    Hello folks,
I have recently joined SDN community. What I feel is that there should be different forum for ABAP HR. If I have to post a question or if I have to look what other members have asked in concern with ABAP HR then it is difficult to search in either ABAP or HCM forums.
    Please suggest.

    >technical ABAP issues could go to a new ABAP HR sub-forum
@Thomas - with much of the new HCM technology being delivered in WDA and associated techs (POWL, etc) many of the issues are cross application. Having another segregation would mean these questions getting lost or even more work for moderators to move posts across forums.
Tagging and being able to view all threads with a given tag (akin to the Google GMail labels for those needing a "real" example ) is the way to resolve these issues, but until we have a revolution in how SCN is organised, I'd be opposed to any further fragmentation. Perhaps I should set up an RSS reader and then going through multiple forums wouldn't be as tiresome, but I haven't got to that point, and I doubt most users have.
    Just my thoughts!
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • Are there other iLearning discussion forums?

I've just been asked to help install/deploy iLearning in a Linux environment. The purchase hasn't happened yet so I'm not aware of/nor have access to any detailed iLearning installation guide, but if possible i'd like to get a head start since I am not familiar with Oracle products (I've been developing primarily with PHP/MySQL).
Are there any publicly available installation documents for iLearning on a Linux platform?
Anyone else here using iLearning on Linux and care to share their experiences?
Also, since this forum is pretty quiet, are there more active discussion forums covering iLearning?
    many thanks in advance!

The install guide for Oracle iLearning is available through Metalink, our customer support web site.
There is a forum on metalink as well as a discussion forum on our Oracle iLearning customer site:
    http://ilearning.oracle.com
    Click Self-Register
When asked for the site name, enter "ilearning"
    Create your account
Perform a search in the catalog for "Forum"
Subscribe to the Oracle iLearning Product Information forum.
There is not very much activity there either however, but as questions are asked the product management team attempts to answer them or other customers may respond as well.
    Thanks!
    Scott

    Hi ..
No, there isn't but you might want to take a look at refurbished iMacs >  Refurbished Mac Computers - Refurbished Notebooks & Desktop Computers - Apple Store (U.S.)
Refurbished products come with the same one year limited warranty as does a new product.

  • Welcome to the Premiere Pro SDK Forum!

Hello there, and welcome to this new forum, which is the place to discuss the Premiere Pro Software Development Kit, publicly available at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/premiere/
There is definitely a wealth of development experience out there, and so we hope that this forum will help the Premiere Pro community by providing a centralized, searchable forum for all developers to collaborate and get answers to questions not already answered by the SDK documentation.
Let's start by asking: Who are you, and what are you developing using the Premiere Pro SDK?
My role is to produce the Premiere Pro and After Effects SDKs, and help our third-party developers develop plug-ins and otherwise integrate with Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium.

  • What happened to the Premiere Pro CS3 Forum

It appears that there is no longer a separate CS3 forum.
If this is true, have all of the CS3 posts been moved to the Premier Pro Forum?

    Steve,
There was much confusion as to where one should post, with the old designations. The decison was made to try to group the sub-fora into a managable order. Premiere (non-Pro) was created, and all versions of PrPro (1.0 through CS4) were placed into another sub-forum. Premiere Elements stayed separate, as it should.
Now, with the two Premiere fora, one should mention their version in the Title, i.e. "[Pr 6.5] Export Issues."
To me, it makes perfect sense, as soon as one gets used to the change. The Encore forum went from about 15 sub-fora to five +/-, and it works well.
    Give it time,
    Hunt

  • Gmail doesn't work and I tried everything there is on these forums, it just doesn't want to work for me

gmail won't work in Firefox for me and I literally went to every forum an threat I could find and followed all of these instructions but I just can't get the damn thing to work, i even installed the Gmail panel app but I just won't work, it gives me the standard message that I need to enable my cookies, privacy, ... etc and I did all of that and all of the the other stuff (clear cache & cookies, change to 'no proxy', made a new profile, changed the file manually in the folder, etc.) and it just won't work and it's driving me insane. This made me change to chrome last year but that takes too much memory and I just love firefox. pls don't tell me I need to keep chrome installed just to read my mails there because this is ridiculous. pls help

I would advice you not to follow the above advice as that will cause you to delete the Firefox profile folder and you lose all your personal data (bookmarks and other data).
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

  • Are there any other great  forums?

Forums on java.sun are the best on the net in my opinion. U people are great. Could anybody pls tell me if there is a place like this where I could post my C/Assembly/System programming questions?

    Well, I'm not that silly.
Googling gives too many C programming forum links, but mostly they like

  • Should n't there be a separate forum for JDev 10g and another for 11g?

    Dear experts,
Since there are still long and ongoing projects using JDev 10g, it would be convenient to split this forum into two ,
so that searches would be faster and finding the right solution for the correct version of JDev would be easier and quicker .
Besides, Oracle would have a more precise adoption rate of the newer version 11g and adapt its resources accordingly.
Hoping for your feedback and adoption,
    NA

  • Are There "Oracle Collaboration Suite" Forums?

Is there a forum for questions on "Oracle Collaboration Suite"? i.e. Oracle Email, Oracle Calendar, etc?
I see that Oracle Collaboration Suite Release 1 (9.0.3.0.0) for Solaris Operating System (SPARC) (32-bit) is available for download. I am trying to determine if there will be a release that will run on Windows 2000, and if so, when its release may be scheduled for?
    Thanks,

    Thanks Arnaud. It works.
Few more question about UI changes
Are there any copyright issues by Oracle to change text/images/css of Oracle Collaboration Suite Components; for example if I change
<strong>OracleLogo Collaboration Suite Mail </strong>to <strong>MyCompanyLogo Easy Mail </strong>so will it raise any copyright issue for us? or is there any document that defines <em>to what extent can we make changes?</em>

  • Is there a live chat forum here on this site? I can't seem to find one

It seeems to me like there should be one. Is there?
    To get problems resolved quicker?
Or is there a popular website that mac users use more?
    Thanks.
    -ch

    Hi, Christopher.
As noted, there's no live chat here.
According to one of your other posts, you have a new computer: a MacBook Pro. It should still be under warranty.
It comes with a one-year hardware warranty and 90 days of free, telephone-based tech support for problems like the one you've been posting about elsewhere, i.e. you can't "turn if off" or, more precisely, it won't shut down, as you've posted here.
If you want to talk to someone, call AppleCare at 1-800-275-2273 and take advantage of your warranty.
You paid for the warranty (it's factored into the price of your computer) so you should use it.
If you're beyond the 90 days, then I suggest you buy an AppleCare Protection Plan, which extends the hardware warranty by an additional two years and gives you three years of telephone-based support. If you think it's a waste of money, try pricing a replacement LCD for your Mac: the AppleCare Protection Plan is cheap insurance.
Whether questions are answered or unanswered here, particularly by "the regulars," can often depend on how well they are written. See my "Obtaining Help Online" FAQ for some tips on writing better posts than "it won't turn off."
PS: As a tip for future question posts, please fill in your Discussions settings with complete information about your Mac (specific model, RAM, hard drive size, Mac OS X version, etc.). Click "My Settings" in the "Welcome yourscreenname" box in the upper-right corner of this page, then add those details to the "Computer" field therein. Use the "Other Computer Information" field if additional space is required.
    Good luck!

  • Is There Still an Ultra Forum?

I didn't see the Ultra forum listed in the Adobe drop-down list. Does the Ultra Forum still exist, or is the whole package going the way of the Sarah Connor Chronicles? What a shame, if that's so.
I would really like to invite some influential Adobe decision makers to my workplace for a week so they can see what works well in our busy corporate video production workflow. I think the meeting would be mutually beneficial and time well-spent.

It's good to hear that there is encouraging news and optimism. One of the things I like about Ultra besides the clean keys is the ability to export from Ultra as a 32 bit keyed source. I occasionally use the Ultra-supplied backgrounds and sets, but they mainly serve as a quick way to check the quality of the keying in front of a variety of different colors and patterns. The 32 bit clips exported from Ultra are a hefty file size and take some cpu horsepower to play on the timeline in Premiere, but this 32 bit keyed source option offers great flexibility in editing. If a client doesn't like my choice of backgrounds, changing them out is a fast and simple process.
    Colin:
"It seems logical that in Adobe's way of Borg-like assimilation, Ultra won't resurface as its own application until it gets a total dressing down like OnLo did."
Ah yes, the Borg. My wife and I were hooked on the "Next Generation" back in the 80's. I met Patrick Stewart and spoke with him at length back when he played Captain Picard. He seemed surprised that I thought Star Trek the Next Generation was a great TV show. He was probably so burned out from filming and trying to remember his lines, that he never had a chance to actually watch the show E.G. "Galaxy Quest". Anyway, only Patrick Stewart could say a hokey line like "I am Locutis of Borg" and have it come across convincingly.
I do think that Adobe has assimilated some great companies/products though.
