Is there a program I can use to retrieve corrupted .MOV files, from a HD memory card where some files will open, and others wont?

I have a Mac OS X version 10.6.8 with a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory.
I have recently shot some still and moving footage on my Cannon EOS 500 D (digital camera) using an AMICOE SD C10 8 GB high speed memory card.
After uploading these photos and movies onto my Mac, I am only able to open about 2/3 of the files that appear on the screen. In the case of the movie files, I can see a number of the file icons, however about 1/3 of them will not open (I get a message saying that Quicktime does not recognise this file - yet it is a .MOV file. Interestingly I can see a small thumbnail for each of these files that will not open, however I am unable to expand the thumbnail into the larger size) and there are a number of photos that simply do not appear as a file or thumbnail.
Is there a program I can use to retrieve these corrupted .MOV and JPEG files from either my computer or the memory card?

....to add to the last part... When adding to the iTunes library,- I need iTunes to make a quick-scan to verify that media I am adding isn't already in there,- preventing duplicates that make remedial tasks of removing* duplicates so annoying and unproductive...

VL66 is used for deleting temporary inbound deliveries that have been marked with the deletion flag in the database, the temporary deliveries should have the deletion flag selected in the database, but i want to delete the normal inbound delivery without deletion flag now, is there any other solutions? Hi i just got a new Iphone 5c and my itunes says i need 11 to reconize the iphone , of course having a powerbook g4 i can not upgrade to itunes 11 .

The device, an Ocean Optics spectrometer in columns of about 9000 cells.I'm saving this as a lvm file using the "write to measurement file.vi". But it doesn't give me the flexibility as far as I can tell.
I need to move the column by the index of the for loop, so that when i = n, the data will take up the n+1 column. (the 1st column is used for wavelength). How do I use the "write to spreadsheet file.vi" to do this? Also, if I use the "write to spreadsheet file.vi", is there a way one can increment the file name, so that the data isn't written over. I like what "write to measurement file.vi" does.

Thanks!!!You cannot write one column at a time to a spreadsheet file, because a file is arranged linearly and adding a column would need to move (=read and rewwrite elsewhere) almost all existing elements to interlace the new data. You can only append new rows without having to touch the already written data.
Fields typically don't have fixed width. An exception would be binary files that are pre-allocated at the final size. In this case you can write columns by setting the file positions for each element. It still will be very inefficient.
What you could do is append rows until all data is written, the read, transpose, and write back the final file.
What you also could to is build the final array in a shift register and write the entire things to file at once after all data is present.

I'm doing some archiving for a engineering firm. I'm backing up all the data on dvds, but most of the files have names that are more then 110 characters long, so Nero and Roxio won't put them on a disc for that reason. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You'll need to run the program on an operating system that doesn't limit filename length in that case you could use this software http://longpathtool.com/

I have an older iPod Touch, I bought a new one and the Itunes on my computer is too old to recognize my new iPod Touch and Itunes cannot be updated. Is there a creditable software program I can use to get all my old music from my old iPod Touch to the new one? It is my understanding that the music cannot be saved onto my new iTunes, b/c I did not have iCloud. I have over 2,000 songs I just cannot part with. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help some how!! THANKS!
I had the same problem with my iPad, i couldn't get the newer version of itunes because the computer was too old and my iPad couldnt sync with the old itunes. I got a PC from school a few months later so that solved the problem for me. Unfortunately i don't think there would be a program to put your music on your iPod, iTunes should be the only way to transfer files to Apple devices. What operating system are you running and what version of it is it?

I run a small service company and we use the iphone 4, do you have a program we can use for scheduling from one or two computers that allows us to schedule service calls and track our service techs.
A program we can enter each phone and have there schedule and current location available at all times.Search the iTunes App store or find a developer to create an app that meets your needs.

It's do-able, but I don't think it's a great idea.
DVI
Some users with DVI have managed to get their TV's to work with DVI-HDMI cables. DVI carries no audio, so alternative connections need to be explored to enable audio. DVI doesn't necessarily support HDCP as well as other standards used by HDMI (which may or may not be an issue)
Analogue
There are hardware converters that will convert HDMI to various other types of output, however there are some issues with doing so that you should be aware of.
HDCP
HDCP compliant converters will not allow you to watch HDCP protected content such as that from the iTunes Store. Non compliant converters exist but we cannot discuss them under the Terms of Use for these communities.
Resolution and aspect ratio
I'm not aware of any converters that will scale the output from the Apple TV, any TV or projector which is used will need to be widescreen and support resolutions of 720p (Apple TV 2), 720p/1080p (Apple TV 3)

Those choices are controlled via System Preferences, Trackpad.

is there a way I can use my external hard drive without the files being transferred on to my computer? as like like my iTunes music being on my hard drive without them being copied onto my computers hard drive ? because i dont have that much memory and i wanted my external hard drive to be the source for my music files and not my computer.
Many users keep their iTunes libraries on external drives. You just have to remember to connect and power up the drive before launching iTunes.

I have Acrobat 9.5 and when I try to create>pdf from scanner, it displays an error "Adobe acrobat has stopped working". Is there any way I can use this functionality?
Provide you have Acrobat 9 installed in an OS for which Acrobat 9 is compatible then you can use the functionality.
As well, you need a scanner connected, powered up, and the software installed. Acrobat 9 "prefers" TWAIN drivers.
Always visit the scanner vendor's site and download - install the latest greatest software.
n.b., The Acrobat 9.x product family passed into "End of Support" mid-year 2013.
As well the Acrobat 9.x product family is not compatible with contemporary OSs.
