Is there a reason that OS9 software that ran fine on a G4 cube will not run on a single-processor single-core 1.25 MDD G4 tower?

I recently optimized a
1.25 GHz PowerPC G4 (7455/7455B)
for my boss to use as an OS9 machine running the software he wrote in the early 90s after his cubes quit working.
He tells me that this new tower "does not even acknowledge the existence of" the programs he was runngin fine on his G4 cubes. I'll have a better explanation once I see this problem in person.
This sounds too bad to be true, especially considering that this MDD tower was manufactured by Apple to satisfy unexpected demand for machines that could run software some people were not yet ready to abandon.
This is an extremely urgent problem for me. Any input would be profusely appreciated!

This was going to be my suggestion; install SheepShaver on a modern Mac. I believe that it can run OS 9 up to and including 9.0.4.
I use it successfully for many Classic Mac OS9 programs such as WordPerfect, MORE and soon I will be attempting to access some Quicken 98 files using it.

The dirty little secret that they are keeping from you, is YES, there is a way to continue to use Microsoft Office's Word 2004 in Mountain Lion!
It is to install Snow Leopard Server into Parallels 8 on your new Mac and then install and run Word 2004 there:

Apple is now selling Snow Leopard Server for $19.99 + sales tax & shipping costs at 1.800.MYAPPLE (1.800.692.7753) - Apple Part Number: MC588Z/A (telephone orders only). Parallels 8 retails for $79 but can be found for less searching for discounts on the internet.
Personally I hate the way Microsoft has changed Word 2008 and Word 2011, because I was 100% comfortable with how Word 2004 was setup and utilized. There is a learning curve to both of these upgrades and a more steeper one to the "free" alternatives that were suggested to you.
In a perfect world, you should upgrade to Office 2011; I did (actually it was a gift, but the price was not an object for me anyway). But the world is not perfect...
So, if, like me, there are times that you are most comfortable operating in the Word 2004 environment, my suggestion offers you a easy, stable, relatively inexpensive means to continue to do so in Mountain Lion.

You could try changing the settings in System Preferences/Security & Privacy/General/Advanced/Require an Administator password to access locked preferences
But this will affect all Preference settings.

Have you ever jailbroken your iPhone with tether? Because if you have the jailbreak keeps a file on your phone making it so you can't update. To solve this problem your going to have to reset your phone.

This has just started today; yesterday, I downloaded a Zone Alarm update which was genuine and I have done a full scan for virus and malware – nothing!
I have tried the FN+NumLock idea which I saw on the internet but that doesn’t seem to work.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

It is one of the items that Apple gets criticized at regular intervals. The MagSafe connector is proprietary and unlicensable, so the company has a lock-in on the power options. And as you have now found out, your hijinks trying to avoid buying an expensive new charger may have caused more damage and led to a total no-charge condition.

Try running Safari in 32 bit mode. In get info box for Safari,
check open in 32 bit mode. There have been some oddities
on some systems that can cause some issues.
I had thought MS had fixed this, but may not have.

Office 2004 was written for PowerPC. To run Office 2004 on an Intel based Mac, you need Rosetta to translate PowerPC instructions to Intel instructions. OS X Lion no longer includes or supports Rosetta. As such, any application written for PowerPC no longer work on Lion, including Office 2004.
Office 2008 and Office 2011 were written for Intel. They'll work just fine on OS X Lion.
To address your problem, you can do one of the following:
1) Reinstall OS X Snow Leopard from a backup, if you made one.
2) Upgrade to Office 2011.
3) You could use a suite of productivity apps that can import Office documents, such as OpenOffice, or Apple's iWorks. There will be some incompatibilities between these applications and Office though.

yes, the software is on your Mac but it isnt licenced or owned by you so the digital rights management system Apple employs is blocking the application from being used. Its to stop illegal distribution of downloaded software.
my only suggestion is to phone Apple and see if they can transfer ownership

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
