Is there a reason TV show seasons are out of order with iTunes 8.0?

Or is it just me? Whenever I view TV Shows by "Grid," the shows are correctly arranged alphabetically, but the seasons of each show are just in a random order. Is there a new field you need to fill out in 8.0?

In case you've not found it yet ..
Once in grid mode go to the View menu and from there you can "Sort TV Shows". If you sort "By Artist" you get a few more sub-sorting options (Like by Year, which will then put your seasons into the correct order as long as you have the year filled in for your shows within Get Info)

I did this and it was already unchecked. So this is not the answer...
The strange thing is, I have been logging and transferring with FCE for 2 yrs without any problems at all with shorter clips, but have come up against the problem with long clips (over 5 or so min) the whole time. I got around it by simply making sure I stopped recording after less than 5 min while shooting footage. OR if I accidentally got a long clip, I import into imovie and then import into FCE. Not very streamline and I worry about compressions altering quality!
I am now trying to import a 20 min and a 17 min clip and it only transfers around 3 minutes of each, I have re-tried several times and it happens repeatedly. The blue circle in the transfer list shows up as a half blue circle instead of full. Clip cuts off after 3 or so minutes.

I'm saving elements out of Illustrator CC2014 into Edge CC2014 as SVG's but they come into Edge at 10% which are the right size in Edge but when previewed in a browser look bitmap-ish.
So I have to set the scale to 100% and then reset the width and height back to what it was at 10%.
Very frustrating.

In Edge Animate CC 2014 we have addressed the SVG Pixilation issue which was observed when any SVG content is animated with "scale up" transform. To solve this problem we are scaling up the container div by a factor of 10(which is by default) and then using image filtering to reduce the resolution based on the inverse scale. Hence , the property panel will show this inverse transform scale since that is the transform scale applied to the svg element. The svgAntiScaleFactor parameter is provided in the AppPref.xml file in the user preference directory of Edge Animate.You can modify this value.

Depending on your choice of workflows, it appears you can still
1) Add chapter marks manually with QT 7 Pro,
2) Add chapter markers graphically using GarageBand,
3) Use a video editor to set chapter markers graphically,
4) Use a DVD conversion/burning app to set specific or add equi-interval chapter markers, or
5) Use a media/device player that adds playback only chapter makers when no chapter track is embedded within the file.
What kind of chapter markers are you referring to here? Mine are not "stripped out" during normal use but can be automatically removed during various conversion workflows.

All of these effects were 100% REAL objects, energy, etc. NO CGI at all. I have a MAC PRO now, yet unused as I need to buy software.
So What I want to know [and can't find yet on my own], Does Motion 5 perform these same kind of 3D Motion Effects OR Does the New $299 dollar Final Cut Pro does these same kinds of motions, that I demonstrated in my youtube?? I'd like to know of someone else's youtubes that shows motion anywhere close to the complexity of some of my shots. A few were 100 layer composites. Thanks much.

You can't do the masking that you'd require to achieve these effects in FCPX alone. You can buy plugins that will help. look for SliceX and TrackX which are excellent.
Motion does allow you to mask very complex objects and scenes though so this might be your first step. Altough Motion can animate objects in 3D space, it does not deal with 3D objects, merely 2D planes in 3D space. You can import 3D objects and animate them with hep though, look for the excellent mObject from motionVFX, still in its infancy but already very usefull.

If you just bought it and it came with Lion then you don't get a DVD. Instead what they have done is created a Recovery Partition on the drive that serves the same function.

Import photos are out of order

I hope I can explain this so it makes sense. I am trying to import photos from a compact flash card. When they come into Lightroom they are out of order. I have tried sorting them by all the different means in the drop down but still are not correct. I notice that for some reason some of the photos show incorrect dates and that seems to be what is affecting the import. Lightroom is putting the photos from the oldest date first. I was able to load the pictures into a folder on the desktop and they are in the correct order just using the camera file names. When I tried to load them from that folder into Lightroom, they went back to the incorrect order. Is there a way to import without the metadata? Is that what is fouling this up? I don't know where these weird dates have come from but they are there and I can't get rid of them.
I am running Lightroom on an imac with OS 10.4.11 and this is the first I have run into this problem. These photos are from an older camera, a Nikon Coolpix 885 and are my son's photos. I normally import from my Canon camera using a compact flash with a reader and have never had such a problem. Here I am talking up Lightroom to my son about how easy it is to get the photos in and organize them and he is not buying it at this point. Hopefully this makes sense and someone knows what is going on.

There are different sort orders that can be applied including sorting by file name. You can also sort by dragging the images to the order you wish them to appear in by selecting user order.

If I understand correctly, you are saying that neither of the shift keys work and that the spacebar does not do anything? Which operating system is installed and  what keyboard is installed? (see image) Click on it and you will see which keyboard is installed. Do you have a multilingual user profie setup? That is the reason my keyboard shows in the taskbar.

It's a whole new ballgame now. Here's some info on how the Photos apps now works.
Your photos are still on your phone. With iOS 8 there is no My Photo Stream or Camera Roll any more. The MPS has been replaced with the Recent Activity album.
The CR is replaced by the Collections mode. The closest we can get to the Camera Roll is to turn off the Summarize Photos feature in the Settings/Photos & Camera pane and view the photos in the Collections/Moments window.
The photos will be in chronological order when scrolled up from the bottom of the window.
The Recent Activity album is showing the photos added in the last 30 days going back to 8/20 (today being 9/18). In iPhoto on a Mac the My Photo Stream is showing more like 31 days, 8/19 to today, 8/20. It must be how the two devices calculate the last 30 days.
WARNING: If you use iTunes to sync photos between your iPhone or iPad and your Mac do not activate the iCloud Drive. I am going to take a guess that your form is an Imported PDF form, and not a form created in FormsCentral. This is a known issue with Imported PDF forms, the response table does not match the order of the fields in the PDF, the only way around this is to re-order the columns manually. For the names used in the Response Table, you can edit those form field names in Acrobat prior to importing so they are more useful and match the form.

After syncing Pc-Ipad my Photo's are out of order. In the folders they don't follow the Date-order. I use Itunes 10.6.1.7 and Ipad 5.1. The Problem is the same with XP and Windows 7.

After syncing PC-Ipad my Photo's on Ipad2 are out of order. In the Folders/Albums the Photo's are no longer in the order of (EXIF) dates. I have updated Itunes to 10.6.1.7 and IPad2 to 5.1. I have reset the IPad2. I cleaned the Photo-cache and removed Itunes and Installed again. I tried it with Windows 7 (64) and XP, makes no difference. I tried it with one Album, Photo's also out of order. It doesn't seem to happen with my Ipad1 older software version. I there a bug in the newest software? Thanks for Help!

You need to start over with Music. On the iPhone Music screen uncheck sync music. Also, on the Summary screen uncheck "Manually manage music and videos", then sync and it should clear off your phone.
Next, choose the music you want to sync. If you want to fit more on check "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC". This will reduce quality slightly, but it won't be noticable unless you are using $300 headphones.
