Is there a "return receipt" on apple email

Is there an option to request a "return receipt" on the Apple mail program?

Sorry, but no.  You can only Ask your recipient to respond, confirming he received it.
Hope this helps

Has anyone found a way to request return receipts when sending email with Leopard Mail?

    see this [link|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7244096&#7244096].
    However,
this is only possible if the email client of the e-mail receiver supports this feature and it is turned on. if it doesn't support it or it supports it but the feature is turned off there is absolutely nothing you can do.

  • Is there a grace period for apple email address?

Hey guys I was wondering if there was a grace period for apple email address yourname@'insert apple domain name'.com once you deactivate or delete it before it can be used again?
for example with phone numbers for certain companies it takes 2yrs once the number is disconnected for it to be available to be used again.
Which leads into why i'm asking this, as the reason for this is I had an apple ID/email address that i used when working for an apple reseller a few years ago and when i left i was asked to delete it. which i did but i would like to use the yourname part of it again with @icloud.com but its saying the email address is already in use.
Now i know what you might say that someone else could be using in but thats is very unlikely as i have a very unique name plus i also know that apple in their infinite wisdom kept all address ending in @me.com and @apple.com active in the icloud change over to allow association between @me.com accounts and @icloud.com accounts and i believe the later is the cause of my fustration.
If there is no grace period is there anyway to prove that i was [email protected] and delete that record so that i can setup [email protected] as the apple ID in question are different?

If you are reading this message either in the online community or in an email notification you have received, please be aware it is a temporary post.
The support community is currently undergoing some minor problems which can occasionally result in newer posts being rendered invisible. One method of working around this issue and revealing the hidden posts is to add a further post of one’s own.
However because it’s not possible to see what one is replying to, it’s not possible to make a valid post in terms of the question(s) being asked, but once it has been posted and the invisible posts become visible again, one can then edit the post accordingly.
If you are seeing this in an email notification, unfortunately you won’t be notified of any subsequent edit and as such should return to the message in the online community to see any changes made to it.
On the other hand, if I have nothing worthwhile to say, it might remain as it is.

  • Lost receipt, can Apple email me a new one?

I lost my receipt and I never got the email receipt that was supposed to be sent when it was purchased. Can Apple recreate it for me and email it?

  • Is there any way I can get a return receipt for email when it is read?

Is there any way I can get a return receipt for my email after it is read by the party I send it to?

There is nothing even remotely reliable.
If a receipt is important to you, send a letter certified mail.
I have occasionally received an e-mail that requests a receipt prior to reading it. I do what everyone does, I delete the e-mail unread.

  • Return receipt plug in for Mac Mail software?

Return receipt for Mac OSX 10.4.6 build in email software “Mail” 2.0.7 (746.2/749.3) 2005 Apple Inc.
Is there a return receipt plug in for Mac Mail software? I want to know if my sent mail was received and know if the mail was opened.

    Kboo,
in general not a good idea. This may cause loops with Out-of-Office responders and also not a very trustworthy confirmation.
Options are to use certified email servers as an intermediate (google to find many) or to request explicitly a written reply from the recipient.

  • Apple Mail and return receipts

    Hi,
Since Apple Mail and Calendar in Mountain Lion appear work seamlessly with Exchange, I've dropped Outlook in favor of the native Apple apps.  But the one problem I have is return-receipts.  Our voice-mail system at work emails me voicemail messages and uses the return-receipt to indicate I've seen the message.  That works perfectly on my iPhone and it worked in Outlook.  I can't find any preference in Apple Mail to turn the return-receipt functionality on.  I've also googled and I get lots of hits on how to get Apple Mail to request receipts but nothing on how to get Apple Mail to respond.  Does anyone know how I can enable that functionality?

  • Return receipt on email's?

All of a sudden I am getting this "return receipt confirmation", but I can't figure out where on the system to delete that.  It does it only when I am using the blackberry messaging to access my gmail and compose from there.  If I go directly to my gmail on the phone, it does not do this.
    Thanks!

Try going to your email folder and click the BB option button select options then email settings. Set confirm read to no.

  • The "Apple ID Password box along with the keyboard keeps popping up on my iPad and stays there.  I have changed my email address on my iMac but my old one still remains on the iPad.  Also changed password.  Nothing works!  I can't use the iPad like this!

The "apple ID Password" box along with the keyboard pops up when I turn the iPad on and it stays there.  I have changed my email address on my iMac and also changed my password.  The old email address is still on the iPad.  Anyway, I can't use the iPad because can't get the apple id password box to go away.  Thanks for any help!

This is an older photo but the sleep and home buttons are still in the same place on all iPads. The home button is the round button at the bottom of the iPad and the sleep button is also called the on/off button and it is at the top right corner of the iPad.

  • Is there an easy way to add a sketch to Apple Email?

I struggled with a new-to-me sketch program that I found on an Internet website, but I was finally able to copy and paste it to an Email message. It was supposed to have been easier than that, but that was the best I could do.I then realized that I had to add a few lines and notes. That got me to thinking. By now, you'd think that there would be an easy way to add graphic material to Apple Email. Is there?
    I have an iMac.
