Is there a script to "Package" more that 1 file at a time?

I am trying to find a way to Batch Processing groups of Illustrator files (version Mac CC 14) into Packages (separate folders with links). The new "packaged" folders in a new location then need to be compressed (zip) before uploading for client access. The biggest issue we have is some jobs can have up to 20+ different varieties - each needing its own package. Is there a script available to avoid opening each file and manually applying "Package" from the file menu?

I main issue I have with the Illustrator Action I created is that the "save" feature holds the file name which means every time we run the action, the package is called the same thing (not the title in the header!) For some strange reason, Photoshop actions are a lot more flexible. It would be nice if Illustrator worked the same way. (or even through Adobe Bridge!) I am running a trial of the "Art Files" Plug in now to see if this meets out needs. Many thanks for your assistance.

I have tried a test a bunch of dummy files to see how they would process by using an Action, and yes there is not enough flexibility in the save file/folder section because it saves the file name as part of the action... which is kind of pointless for and tasks that is repeated. (ie different file names). I have been looking for an existing script somewhere. I can't be the first user to face this problem. My hope would be that there would be a solution like the one that Photoshop uses. (File/Automate/Batch). Seems strange that Illustrator can't do the same thing!

I inserted a CD from a friend of mine, it was suppose to be my wedding photo's. It was not.....it downloaded automatically all the contents of the CD into my photo's and there was over a thousand images entered.
I believe this is why my I Photo is not opening. I need to first delete these images, then i will run the test to see if it corrupted my I Photo.
But doing this one at a time has become a lengthy process. I have tried highlighting them, but still it only allows to me move to trash one at a time.

If you are running Time Machine then the iPhoto library should be backed up - store instructions are near the end of this article - Mac Basics: Time Machine backs up your Mac - Apple Support
If you do not have a backup then you have made a mess of things and with no backup you have no way to totally recover
If you have no backup try to rebuild although it is not likely to work completely - maybe not at all - Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - from the resulting first aid window repair permissions and if necessary rebuild your database

After choosing a jpg for upload, the "Upload File" button on the organization's receiving site of does not respond. The second problem: it's impossible to highlight more that one file at a time.

Clicking the first file, holding down shift and clicking the last file doesn't work. I've tried all manner of command, control, shift combos without success. This one-at-a-time attachment problem also happens in web mail. Are these two issues related? Thanks for non-techie solutions for both issues. I have Safari 5.0.6 (5533.22.3) and Leopard.

I was trying to upload 3 jpgs to the submissions page of a visual arts website. I could only highlight one jpg at a time in the "Choose File" option, and then the "Upload File" button of the submissions page would not respond.
It's an ongoing problem with this site (I'm the only one with this issue and there are a lot of submissions). I have to send the images as email attachements to the administrator of the site. When doing this via webmail, I still the one attachment at a time problem, but the images get to the administrator. Thanks for helping.

Is there a way to delete more than one file at a time from Zen Xtra? Actually, I'd like to delete most of the 800+ files and the only way I've found is to do them one at a time..! Help!

Either use finder to drag and drop those tracks onto
"Library" in iTunes' left "Source" column or from
iTunes Menu Files use "Add to Library ..." then
navigate to a folder that keep a yoru tracks and
select that folder.
This did it! I was doing an "import" which would only let me do one song at a time. But the "add to library" and the drag and drop both worked. Thanks!!!

You can import whole folder/directory strctures if you want. In LR click on Import in Library or Shift-Cmd/Ctl-I and the initial Finder/Explorer dialogu should let you choose a Folder/Derectory, not just an individual file, though you should be able to Shift Click multiple folders/files as well.

When you go into Photos (or an Album or Event), click on the first photo you want to delete. If you want to delete a whole selection of photos in a row, hold down the Shift key, and then click on the last photo in the section you want to delete. All of the photos will be selected. Then click on Photos in the top menu and click on Move to Trash.
If you want to select photos that are not in a row, then click on the first photo, then hold down the Command key, then click on other photos you want to select. Keep the Command key held down until you have selected all of the photos you want. Then click on Photos in the top menu and then Move to Trash.

Can't relink more than 1 file at a time

I'm trying to relink media I have on an external firewire drive, but when I click Relink, FCP only relinks the first file in my list. The files are all there, in the same location, and have not had any name or reel changes - each one relinks fine individually, but I can't get FCP to link more than 1 file at a time.
Procedures: I select all the files from a certain reel that are listed as being offline, then File>Reconnect Media. All the files I've selected are listed in the top half of the window, with the first file underlined. I have Search Single Location checked. I select Locate (though same thing happens if I select Search at locate the file myself), Show: Video Files (tho same thing happens if I select All Files), I've checked Match Name and Reel Only (though again same thing happens if this is not checked), and I checked Reconnect All Files in Relative Path. FCP finds the first file, and I click "Choose" - and the first file is listed in the bottom part of the window, but only that file.
Everything else in FCP works fine. Is it possible I'm running into problems because of the very large number of clips I have in the project (12,000 so far)?
FCP 6.0 running on G5 dual 2 gig, OSX 10.4.9

That is a bug in FCP 6 and 6.0.1...to fix it you need to upgrade to FCP 6.0.2.

Any way to transcode more than one file at a time?

I've noticed that Final Cut Pro X, when doing transcoding (for Optimizing or creative Proxy media) only processes a single file at a time (whereas it can handle processing up to 5 audio files at once), and is only using about 70% of my processor(s) -- I have a dual core, Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, about 500MB used by FCPX during the processing. So this thing should have PLENTY of processor and memory headroom to use, and it should certainly be able to transcode more than one file at a time. Yet it isn't nearly taking full advantage of the processors, or the RAM. Is there any solution to this problem?

I see by your post that you can't print multiple copies. I can help you with this.
From the application your printing from, go to File, Print, Number of copies select 2. Uncheck Collate. You can now change the number of copies. Collate should now stay unchecked.
Try printing the multiple page document again.
You might have to disable all the startup items, to see if there is another program causing this issue.
How to use MSCONFIG. Click on the Startup tab and disable all.
Test the printer.
Then go back in and enable all from the Startup tab.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor if you are still having issues. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
What applications have you tried?
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)

PSE13 repeatedly crashing when opening more than one file at a time to layer images. [was: Feeling very frustrated.]

Just bought Photoshop Elements 13. I have a Macbook Pro that meets all the requirements. I have installed and reinstalled the program but it just keeps crashing. The program will load, when I choose the expert tab and try to open more than one file at a time to layer images it just crashes and says "Photoshop Elements has closed unexpectedly" Can anyone help me please?
