Is there a setting where I can delete emails on all Apple machines at once (iPad, iPhone, Mac)?

I would like to be able to delete my emails on my Ipad and have them be deleted on my Iphone and Macbook Air at the same time. I feel like I spend most of my time going from one machine to the other deleting emails that have accumulated. Is there a solution for this?

I assume you have a POP account.
For each device you have to change the Delete from Server setting.
iPad & iPhone:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > Advanced > Delete from server...you can change this to when removed from ibox (or any other setting to suite your needs)
MacBook:
From Mail app  Mail > Preferences > Accounts > select the account > Advanced check "remove copy from server after retrieving" box then select your prefered option from the drop down box.

  • The new format on FF4 is confusing and difficult to use. Is there a setting where I can change it to show the FF3.6 format?

Myself and several of my friends were discussing the new Firefox layout for Firefox 4.0, and we find it difficult to use. We would like to have the option of using the new Firefox with the old 3.8 layout. That would make it much easier to use. One of my friends is vision impaired and having become accustomed to the old layout, is finding it almost impossible to transition.
I have uninstalled FF4.0 and re-installed FF3.8 so that I can have the familiar layout. Others are doing the same.

If you do not like the new appearance of Firefox 4 then you can change some setting to restore the Firefox 3 appearance.
You can right click the orange Firefox button to open the toolbar menu.
    * Click the Menu Bar entry to make the Menu Bar visible.
    * Click "Tabs on Top" to remove the check mark and place the Tab Bar at its original position just above the browser window.
Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.
You can middle-click that Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.
In Firefox 4 you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.<br />
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.<br />
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.<br />
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.<br />

  • With 3.6 and earlier, one website I use would have a "frame" around thumbnails which would go away once I accessed it. Aftwer 4.0, no frame. Frames still there with IE. Is there a setting where I can get them back with the newer versions of Firefox?

Pretty much what I asked above. Obviously there was a change between 3.6 and 4.0 that is causing this.
These black "frames" around the thumbnails are very handy as they let me know which ones have been accessed and which have not. Once I would click on the thumbnail, the "frame" around it would disappear. I could come back weeks later and tell what had been accessed and what hadn't.
I discovered this problem this spring when I upgraded to 4.0 in my laptop. I kept "nursing" the 3.6 in my desktop as I did not want to lose that feature. The other night I tried to update my 3.6 and, unfortunately, I got force-fed 6.0.
Anyhow, it has to be something you changed when 4.0 was brought out - and has stayed changed in 5.0 and 6.0. As noted above, the frames are still there if I go to the site with Internet Explorer. Sure love to find a way to get this feature back with Firefox!

Is there a PS setting where it can read my Canon Mark 3 5D's monochrome setting so that the files will also appear in the same monochrome structure (instead of appearing in colour as it is now when i open in PS, not even monochrome)? Or do I have to change from RAW each time to Monochrome within PS (even if I have set up for Monochrome in my 5D)?
    1. Basically I am taking photos with a monochrome setting with my 5D and the screen shows monochrome.
    2. when i import this onto my computer and open with PS, it opens in colour.
    3. when I change this to Monochrome in PS. (It cannot read my monochrome setting with my preference of the greyscale mix when I viewed it on my 5D)
    4. my question is: is there a way so that PS can read the monochrome setting from my 5D and display the same monochrome setting as my 5D instead of a different one from PS.
    Lily

you need camera raw 6.7 or better.
i don't know what version of ps you have so i can't say if it can be updated to use that, but update anyway.

  • Is there a way where we can set the headers from custom plugin

Using OAM 11.1.1.5 and webgate 11g. I am trying to custom cookie using a authentication plugin. So I created a custom authentication module with three steps. First identification then authentication both using Oracle's out of box plugins. Have set the identity store to OID. The third step is creating the cookie. In addition to this since we have integrated EBS with OAM, it is a requriement from Oracle and EBS that we pass two parameters in header, User name set to $user.userid and USR_ORCLGUID to $user.attr.orclguid. We are trying to set this paramters from authentication polices response settings, the $user.userid is being set properly however we are getting an exception in $user.attr.orclguid . Is there a way where we can set the headers from custom plugin or any other way. Thsi exception is only with custom authentication module. When we use LDAP Authentication module it works.

is there a app where I can protect my starcraft account???

Get the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator (supports iOS 3.0 or better) to protect your Blizzard Entertainment accounts as follows
    >Battle.net
    >World of Warcraft
    >Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
You can also use this even OFFLINE. You get different codes that you have to enter to log in (code changes every 30 seconds).
    How to Set It Up?
Go to the app. It should take you to set up automatically (if not go to menu and tap setup) You will be given a Serial number and your first code to start off. Tap continue and you will get this:
Once the Authenticator is fully ready, you can tap View Code and you will get random codes that you HAVE to type in every time you log in. The code changes every 30 seconds.
THIS IS HOW TO SET UP:

  • Is there a way that I can delete songs off my computer but they will still stay in the cloud for my iPad and iPhone?

My family has two computers, two iPads, and an iPhone.  My wife has different tastes in music than I do and purchases wayyyyy too much music that I consider "noise".  Additionally, she has well over 400 playlists.  I don't want to have to see all the playlists on my computer but occasionally she will create one for me on her computer.  I thought the iCloud was going to be the answer to our problems.
But now, every playlist on her computer shows up on mine, and every song on her computer shows up on mine.  Is there a way I can delete some of the songs from my computer (and some of the playlists) without it removing the songs/playlists from the cloud?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Sir Churchill, I tried deleting one of the playlists from my computer (Playlist 130).  The next day I checked my wife's computer and noticed that Playlist 130 was now missing from her computer as well.  Is there a way that I can delete a playlist from my computer without it disappearing from hers as well?

Is there an application where I can back up all my info that I have on my computer so I don't have to buy a external hard drive?

Yes, but off-site storage (i.e. Mozy) is more expensive in the long-run than an external drive, however, off-site storage is safer (not sure if I trust the security though), and even with a fast connection, the inital backup can take days

Is there any way that you can delete APPS that come on the iPad 2 when you buy it? For example, the stock app, can you delete that or is it permanently on there?

You cannot delete the preinstalled apps on the iPad. You can check by tapping and holding down on the icon until it wiggles. If no X appears, you cannot delete it.
Move it to another screen or bury it in a folder called" Stuff I don't Want"
