Is there a simple way to incorporate web dynpro applications.............

.......using Adobe Interactive forms with Guided procedures??
Hi all,
Sorry the question was so long I had to continue it.
So here is what I'm asking in detail. The scenario is to be able to incorporate an Adobe Interactive form (online and offline) in a guided procedure. Now, from my experience I think a guided procedure doesn't display a pdf document during the workflow process unless it consumes a web dynpro application which has an adobe form embedded within it. In this case I want the user to be able to download the adobe form from a process initiated by the guided procedure. 1) The user should be able to save the adobe form and fill it in offline. 2) Then the user can submit the form for approval (again a step in GP also), 3) if the form is approved the GP should inform the user and have the other relevant fields of the form filled in by an RFC invokation. 4) The user can see the new form. Steps 3) and 4) are no problem. Its the in between approval step that is posing a problem. How do you tackle the part of filling in the form and re-submitting it to a web Dynpro app that will fill in the required fields IF and ONLY IF the form is approved as part of the workflow??
Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Kunal.

  • Web Dynpro Application Deployment need server restart?

    Hi Everyone,
When deploying Web Dynpro application on production environment, do we need to restart the sap portal system and server?
I have this issue that when ever we deployed new develop Web Dynpro application with new Abap Function module we need to restart our Enterprise portal production server. Is this really necessary. Is there other way to deploy Web Dynpro application with new Abap function module without restarting the server.
    Please help,
    Michael Mondelo

    Hi michel,
for example , assume you imported a RFC bapi_flights from r/3 to webdynpro dc , and both rfc requests and webdynpro application is deployed to the development server and then moved to quality server.
now you have done some changes in the rfc bapi_flights i  mean change in the structure .
case 1 : now with out reimporting the change to webdynpro application and you move the request to the quality r/3, your application dumps . because the structure change is not incorporated at your webdynpro DC.
case 2 : you have re imported the rfc incorporating the changes to the web dynpro applicaiton dc, now with out moving the structure changes request to the quality r/3 and you deploy the webdynpro Dc having the changes to your quality EP , still the applicaiton dumps because your appliction refers to the rfc with out structure change in quality r/3.
case 3 : you have moved the abap request having the strucutre change and also the webdynpro development component where the changes are also incorporated , now on moving both , your application might dump , because the meta data cache might have been not updated with the new structure change in the quality ep server. so you have invalidate the cache in the JCos you have used to import the rfc. or else on restarting the EP server , the new structure change will be updated in the server.
most of the cases  Invalidation of cache works and in some cases you have restart the server fo the changes to update.

There is currently no way to merge accounts.  The best option is to pick one, and use it consistantly.

Yes there is. Those songs are not actually on your iPad. They are in iCloud ready for download if you choose to do so. If you want to remove them go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Show All>Music>Off. You can also do this in Settings>Music>Show All Music>Off.

I have a result set from a select * from users where userid = xxx statement. However, at the moment I have had to hard code the remainder of the code to get the data from each column as I need the column name as well as its data.

Well, it is not really simple. But there are Open Source components to simplify it for you. See e.g http://www.must.de/Jacompe.htm - de.must.dataobj.DataObject and its subclasses. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions: [email protected]

    Hello All,
I was looking an answer for my question on forum but didn't found anything which could help me to solve my issue.
I would like to close a group of PO's in some period of dates. Is there any simple way to do this? I mean transaction for example, which will let me to choose company number, period of dates  or range of PO numbers and close them by one tick (one action).

    Kamil,
Though I have not used this functionality, can you check whether you can use this functionality for mass change?
Upload and Download of Purchasing Documents
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/en/09/1f42188473402a890183fd1b7c6082/frameset.htm
Using this function, you can download purchasing documents as a file to your PC, process them locally, and then upload the changed documents to the SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) system. You can download the following purchasing documents :
    Features:
The upload/download supports the following functions and possible uses:
    - Cross-Document File Structure
You can display and process the data in a standard tabular file structure for the documents named above. The file structure assigns a unique technical ID to each data field in a metadata area.
    - Process Document Data Offline and Retain
You can change or delete existing data, add new data, and transfer all document data, for example, customer fields.
    - Process Large Documents
This function simplifies the creation of documents with numerous items, and simplifies mass changes to large documents; for example, you can download a document with only one item, and add multiple items to it offline.
Background processing occurs in the case of very large documents.

  • IS THERE ANY SIMPLE WAY TO RETURN SPEED PERFORMANCE TO FACTORY SPEED AFTER ABOUT 3 YEARS OF RELATIVELY STANDARD USE?

Everyone is often so quick to bash all these 'cleaning' utilities but rarely give any solutions.
There's a lot of critiques and endless lists of what NOT to do to avoid performance problems.
My Powerbook is 3 years old. It runs like molasses... SLOW.
I'm not a computer geek, but I'm smart and understand quite a bit more than a newbie.
Do I need a degree in computer engineering to fix/speed up my mac?
Yes, I know, the cleaning utilities suck. But is it really true of all of them?
I'm not totally convinced because there seems to be such a huge market for them.
Sure, there's a huge market for bottled water too, so maybe they are just useless/marketing crap, but I really want to return to my original speed performance quickly and can't seem to find out if it's possible with a utility.
I'm not willing to sit down for 3 hours and study line by line b.s. about how to fix it.
I have no problem if it's not fixable. I've always assumed operating systems outgrow their hardware's capacity to keep up, and sell my old one for a new one, no prob.
I don't care, really, but again, I'm curious if there is any quick, easy, user-friendly utility or method that I can use to return the speed performance I had as recently as a year ago? (I'd be satisfied with that).
Anyone willing to bite on that? Anyone willing to not critique, complain, tell me what NOT to do and actually know a solution?
IS THERE ANY SIMPLE WAY TO RETURN SPEED PERFORMANCE BACK TO (OR CLOSE TO) ORIGINAL FACTORY SPEED AFTER ABOUT 3 YEARS OF RELATIVELY STANDARD USE?
The only thing I may have done outside of the norm was some video editing, but very little.

I had two laptops stolen and the reinstall is a real pain. This also applies to reformats and changeovers to Windows 7, etcetera.

Windows 7? Then don't waste your life minutes fumbling with an Acrobat 8 - Windows 7 combination.
If you are to be using Win 7 you'll need the current release of Acrobat (XI). "X" will function but it is no longer marketed by Adobe.

I've created a prproj file and want to create a master DVD. Is there a simple way to do this?

I'm not sure I would call disk authoring a 'simple' process.  Unless it's a very basic disk, or course, with but a single timeline and no menus.  But the kind of disk we're using to seeing from Hollywood is anything but simple to create, and so not so simple to explain.
Might be time for some research.

  • HT3697 Is there a simple way to create a borderless PDF from Keynote.

Is there a simple way to create a "borderless" PDF using Keynote slides?
When I create a PDF, each slide appears separately with a border around it.
I am a relatively new keynote and mac user.
I am using Keynote version 6.2

    I got the same result.
I'm trying to create what looks like a single document that viewers can scroll through.
I done quite a bit of checking and it seems that Keynote used to give you the ability to crop the PDF which, if I understand what they are talking about, would make it look like one big document and not a series of slides.
I read about using terminal commands (?) which are way beyond my skill level.
Also, I could buy Adobe Acrobat which, from what I've read, would also work. I'm not fond of making that investment.
    Right now, I'm stuck!
I need to create a "long form sales letter" and I'm starting to think that I'm using the wrong program.
Thank you very much for your help and any other suggestions you might have.

  • Reg Simple Web Dynpro Application

    Hello Gurus,
I am developing a simple Web Dynpro Application that displays just Purchase Header Details.
It says the runtime Error, "The exception CX_WD_CONTEXT" was raised but was not caught at any stage in Call Hierarchy.
    Any Suggestions would be rewarded.....
    Regards
    Jay

    Hi,
I have pasted the short dump....
    ===========================================================
    Runtime Errors         UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
    Except.                CX_WD_CONTEXT
    Date and Time          27.02.2007 11:48:17
         ShrtText
An exception that could not be caught occurred.
         What happened?
The exception 'CX_WD_CONTEXT' was raised but was not caught at any stage in the
              call hierarchy.
Since exceptions represent error situations, and since the system could
not react adequately to this error, the current program,
               'CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_VAL=======CP', had to
              be terminated.
         What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
              error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
              date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
         Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assinged to the class 'CX_WD_CONTEXT', was not
               caught,
which led to a runtime error.
The reason for this exception is:
Die Anzahl der Elemente der Kollektion des Knotens INDEX.1.EKKO_ITAB verletzt
              die Kardinalität.
         How to correct the error
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
              use the following search criteria:
              "UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" CX_WD_CONTEXTC
              "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_VAL=======CP" or "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_VAL=======CM001"
              "CHECK_COLLECTION"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
              1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
                 Save->Local File (unconverted)".
              2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
                 "System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
              3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
                 supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
                 Upload/Download->Download".
              4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

  • Difference between mobile web dynpro and simple web dynpro application

    Hi Everyone,
Can anyone pls let me know what's the difference b/w mobile web dynpro application and an offline or simple web dynpro application.
    Thank U!!
    Ravi Aswani

    Hi ,
    Mobile WebDynpro
The SAP Web Application Server allows direct online access to Web Dynpro applications using mobile devices. As part of the SAP Web Application Server, Web Dynpro provides a development and runtime environment with which you can quickly and simply create professional user interfaces for desktop PCs or for mobile devices. An appropriate infrastructure and renderer classes are provided for developing mobile Web Dynpro applications for Pocket PCs as well as for BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds and Nokia Series 80 devices.

    WebDynpro Java
Web Dynpro is a client-independent programming model of the SAP NetWeaver technology platform for developing user interfaces for professional business applications. It is based on the model view controller paradim which ensures that the business logic is separated from the presentation logic. This architecture is visible in the Web Dynpro perspective of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS).
Web Dynpro helps you with the development of Web applications by:
    ·        Ensuring platform-independence with the meta model approach
    ·        Minimizing the implementation effort through declarative programming
    ·        Supporting a structured design process by applying the model view controller paradigm
    ·        Providing reuse and better maintainability by using components
    ·        Providing graphical support with tools in the Web Dynpro perspective
    ·        Providing the SAP NetWeaver Java Development Infrastructure (NWDI) which supports team work with different services such as source code versioning and the Central Build Service.

  • Web Dynpro applications not working on ECC 6.0 IDES

    Hi,
I'm new to Web Dynpro and developed a custom Web Dynpro (including the application) on a ECC 6.0 IDES system. It's simple with a couple of input fields. When I test it (either via SAP GUI 7.1 or 7.2, or Web GUI), it appears on the browser ok but the screen is frozen. I can't enter anything into the fields, etc. I also tested SAP Web Dynpro applications and they act the same way, frozen screen. There aren't any errors displayed or any runtime errors in ST22. Please advise. I searched this forum but didn't see any issue similar to mine. The IDES vendor suggested I post the issue on SDN.
    John

I guess it has do to with some sort of browser's font size or view settings.
press ctrl +0  make the zoom 100% and font size medium and try again.
    thanks
