I want a solution TV Apple made meI feel disappointedHas anyone else encountered or solved this problem? Same thing is happening for me with a new MacBook Pro, 13" i7 and an Echo Audiofire 4. It's not even clear to me from searching if this is the processor idling or the firewire port hardware. Only thing clear to me from testing is that it does have something to do with using an audio interface - I don't get this noise plugging in my external hard drive, but I still hear it if I daisy-chain the hd through my interface. Any help or recommendations appreciated - do pc firewire ports have this issue too?

Follow this procedure for a Troubleshooting Methodology ... basically reset to factory default condition -BUT- be sure to do the following methodically and also to follow the part with Apple Support!
First you want to make sure you have several backups of your data and done with a couple of "different" sources. Be sure to understand what data is backed up and what is NOT on iCloud Backup and iTunes Backup. Use a variety of methods for backup ... you might check into Dropbox, in addition to your Apple options.
Then turn off your desktop anti-virus software when using iTunes for this reset to factory default. After you do that reset, then leave your iPad in its factory default state and see how it operates then. If you encounter any problems in that factory default state, then take it to Apple Support, and let them know that you have just reset it to that state with iTunes and have not put any of your data back on and it is operating in this fashion (whatever the problem is) in that pristine state. Make sure you keep that trouble ticket number, because if it has to be escalated through Apple Support, you're going to find all communications tied in with that number. If the lower level help isn't able to help you, then escalate it to a higher level to examine the problem. Keep at it with that trouble ticket number until Apple Support arrives at a solution to that problem. Be methodical and keep at it.
On the other hand, if everything is okay with the factory default condition, then restore your backup. Some people have discovered that the problem resides in the apps or something in the restored backup. If that's the case, then it's going to be trying and difficult to find out which developer's app is causing you the problem. And ... it's true ... that a developer not following Apple's instructions and guidelines for his app can CAUSE YOU TROUBLE. This kind of thing does happen from developers, especially when a new system upgrade comes out, because some developers ignore what Apple tells them about changes coming, and what they do BREAKS SOMETHING.
This is a troubleshooting methodology that you are going through. See it through to the end.

Is there a solution to the problems with iPhone update 5?
My phone (3GS), which hitherto, worked absolutely fine, slowed right down immediately after updating to 5. And, as many people have found, immediately following the update, the battery life developed a mind of its own - having previously been steady and reliable, the phone battery will now drain down from 20% to nothing in a matter of seconds, depending on what app I'm using. I wish I hadn't bothered with this update; it's made my phone so frustrating to use. Is there a solution?
Right, I've done a restore and ejected the phone. Now it's giving me only two options: either set up as a new phone, or restore from iTunes backup (I don't use Cloud). It's not giving me a sync option so I guess I'll have to restore, unless anyone has any better suggestions?

I tried fixing the problem of not being able to access the card site of pogo.com by following the 'How do I re-install Firefox 3.6.13. But alas the pogo game is still is not loading.
This is my solution, and it didn't come easily. After days of turning myself and my computer inside out, I remembered that AVG (antivirus) installed an update a few days ago and realized that's when my Pogo card games trouble started. So I went and disabled the AVG and checked the games. The games loaded! I went into the AVG settings and was able to revert to the previous version. Now I'll have to rethink AVG, but I can play Pogo games once again! Hope this helps.

You might want to look in your control panel for 'Java' icon. It should give you an option to enable java plugin into your browser. Let me know if you still face the issue.

I am constantly being tormented by Internet Explorer. I have a commercial mail order website http://www.thelittlethings.info that I built myself using iweb but I can never be sure whether it is rendering correctly on IE - obviously I am losing customers if it doesn't appear correctly. I use a rendering site to check but can never be confident that it's working, in fact I have just added a page - http://www.thelittlethings.info/Fabric%20Party%20Bags.html - and I'm really not sure about it as it's coming up as '404 not found' on the net rendering site.

Is there any solution to the problem with the messages app on my iphone4 no longer opening pics after completing the latest iphone software update?
Go to iTunes menu, EDIT/PREFERENCES/DEVICES tab, do you see any Backup files with Date and Time? These are the backup file you have everytime you sync your device to your iTunes.
Now close the dialogue box, connect your device to your computer. In iTunes left Pane, your iPhone will appear under "Devices". Right mouse click yout iPhone and select Restore from backup, select the backup from Date and Time you can remember that has all the contacts and notes and proceed from there. -

I am currently trying to backup my iTunes library onto an external hard drive so that I can copy it onto my new Macbook Pro. I have been following the steps posted on the Apple website however each time I get a dialogue box stating:
'The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items'.
Is this because I have items that were bought under another persons iTunes account? If so, is there a solution to this problem? Or am I doing something completely wrong?

I have an older computer and can no longer update. After the latest Apple update I can no longer access my e-mail on my mac. I can view it on my iphone and on icloud. Is there a solution to this problem?
Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.
