Is there a statement from Cisco on the lack of port forwarding thru DNS?

or instructions on how to do this?

Hi, we tried re-simulating the process as indicated in the link provided to you by one of our moderators and has found an additional step you need to take to accomplish to fix the @NO_SCREENNAME@ issue.
Can you please revisit the link and re-try the procedure?

My Small Business Router has been sending me email messages. This is a RVS-4000 version 1.
I just want to understand what my Router is emailing me or telling me...
The last message I received from my RVS-4000 was:
Oct 30 13:44:09 - IPSEC EVENT: KLIPS device ipsec0 shut down.
IPSEC EVENT sounds important. Whatever it is... And what is a KLIPS device ipsec0 shutdown????
I have Log Levels 0-3 selected...
    Log Level
Setting which level log Router should recorder. Level from 0 ~ 7 means:
    0: LOG_EMERG(system is unusable)
1: LOG_ALERT(action must be taken immediately)
    2: LOG_CRIT(critical conditions)
    3: LOG_ERR(error conditions)
    4: LOG_WARNING(warning conditions)
    5: LOG_NOTICE(normal, but significant, condition)
    6: LOG_INFO(informational message)
    7: LOG_DEBUG(debug-level message)
So, when I get any messages... I'm a little concerned. Because the RVS-4000 thinks it's an Error or better.
What I would like from Cisco is the meaning of all level 3 or lower email messages my Router can send to me. So, that I can take the appropriate actions.
I know Cisco inhered these Small Business Routers. When they bought Linksys. However, they have not discontinued them totally and they are still for sale. And Cisco has released a new version 2 of the same Router. So I believe Cisco should support them as well.
Yes, I'm a pain to Cisco. However, I think you understand I'm being scared by my Routers messages to me... And would like some relief.

  • How connect to oracle RAC via the RSG using port forwarding

    Hi all,
I got a problem trying to connect to oracle RAC via the RSG using port forwarding .
on command line i sue to connect :
    sqlplus 'username/password@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=firstRACnode)(PORT=1521))(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=secondRACnode)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=MSDP)))'
but when using port forwarding i forward the port 1521 to a local port and make ssh to the DB node ( as normal with other nodes but not RAC) but it never work with me for this situation
can any one give me a help ifthere is any changes should be done on the server side , or if any one faced such a problem and found a solution
    Thanks,
    Prathap.

    Step 1
Create a ssh tunnel from local machine to remote db server. Forward any local port (should not be a well known port or a port in the private/dynamic port range) to connect to the database server's listener port. If the ssh tunnel is into the db server itself, the connection (port forwarding) can be on localhost (as the Listener should be listening on it). Alternatively use a public IP of that db server.
Example (using OpenSSH on Ubuntu 9.4):
Local server port 1527 tunneled to port 1521 on database server 192.168.0.100 using o/s account johnd (we connect to port 1521 on db server via 127.0.0.1):
    ssh -X -f -N -o ServerAliveInterval=3 -L 1527:127.0.0.1:1521 [email protected]
    Step 2
Run sqlplus and connect to the local fowarded port on localhost, using the applicable connection settings (e.g SID/Service Name, etc).
sqlplus scott/tiger@"(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=127.0.0.1)(PORT=1527)) (CONNECT_DATA=(SID=orcl) (SERVER=dedicated)))"Note that the Listener must not hand our connection off - as the case would be when using RAC for example and connecting via a Service Name and not a SID. We need the Listener that accepts our connection to immediately hand us over to the database instance (via either a dedicated server or a shared server dispatcher process).

  • How can I test the log in state from in side the Operator Interface code.

From inside LabVIEW Full OI, I want to test if the operator logged in after the IApplicationMgr Start.
Right after the IApplicationMgr ‘Start’ I have a loop that tests the IApplicationMgr ‘LoginLogoutRunning’ state and waits until the LoginLogout call back is done.
I want to exit if the program if operator canceled the login and did not log in.
I have tried “GetEngine” ref. From there get the “CurrentUser” ref but seems not to contain any information about the Current User.
How can I test from my Operator Interface code logged in state of the application?
    Thanks
    Jim D.

    Try Engine.CurrentUserHasPrivilege
For the string parameter 'privilegeName' enter Priv_UserLoggedIn or the string value "*".
"Priv_UserLoggedIn–(Value: "*") Use this value with the Engine.CurrentUserHasPrivilege method to determine whether a user is logged in."
Option 2: You could also setup a callback on application manager for UserChanged Event.  If the User is null then the login was canceled.  (see a copy of the help further down)
From the teststand help for Engine.CurrentUserHasPrivilege method below...
    CurrentUserHasPrivilege Method
    Syntax
    Engine.CurrentUserHasPrivilege ( privilegeName)
    Return Value
    Boolean
True if the current user has the privilege.
    Purpose
Confirms whether the current user or any user group that the user is a member of has a specific privilege.
    Remarks
Returns True when the privilege property is True, when the privilege property of any group that contains the privilege is True, or when privilege checking is disabled, StationOptions.EnableUserPrivilegeChecking is False. If privilege checking is disabled but StationOptions.RequireUserLogin is True, this function returns True only if there is a user currently logged on.
    Parameters
    privilegeName As String
[In] Specifies the name of the privilege to check. You can specify the name of any privilege property. You can specify the full privilege path in the user privileges property tree, for example, Debug.RunSelectedSteps, or you can specify the base privilege name, RunSelectedSteps. If you specify only the base privilege name and more than one instance of the base privilege name exists, then the method returns the value of the first base privilege it finds with that name. Refer to UserPrivileges for more information.
    Teststand callback for UserChanged Event...
    UserChanged Event
    Syntax
    ControlName_UserChanged ( user)
    Applies To
    ApplicationMgr
    Purpose
Occurs when the current user logged in changes.
    Remarks
Use this event to update the parts of your user interface that depend on user permissions when the current user logged in changes.
    Parameters
    user As User
[In] Current user. If this parameter is NULL, there is no user logged in.

  • I can't print my statements from banking websites - the option to print (drop down file menu) from the website is greyed out

I do my banking online, and have previously been able to print my statements off the website. Since the last update, although the page shows in the browser as normal, the option to print from the drop-down file menu is greyed out and I cannot print anything, even if I try and select a portion. It is not a problem with the website as I can print without a problem in another browser program. This problem has now persisted for quite a while with no resolution over time. How do I get Firefox to allow print from a secure website (I assume that is the problem?) It occurs with more than one secure site (two different banks)

I have the same problem... not being able to print website 'Print' pages. I have read carefully the above link and have followed the reset directions in about:config, but I still cannot print in Firefox. Both Google Chrome and IE work perfectly every time. I have verified that the correct printer is selected and that the margins are in order (0.5 all around happen to be what mine are set for). I have resorted to use the Firefox Add On "View this Page in IE" whenever I need to print something. Works like a charm, but come on... it should work in Firefox too! I know there is some setting or something, but the Problems_printing_web_pages link had nothing there that worked for me.

  • Is there a state sales tax on the $30.00 sign up fee?

    nj sales tax

Actually, Idaho has a "use" tax, which means no matter where you buy the product, if you use it in Idaho you must pay at least 6% (but not on services)
"That is an issue for you to take up with the tax department. Verizon is just obeying the tax laws."  I would love to, but Verizon hasn't responded.  Verizon is just obeying the tax laws, as they understand them, but could they be wrong?

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut to activate the external display port??

My Macbook pro recently took in moisture from the bottom, which fried my display. Through some testing, I have determined that the monitor is the only damage and the computer still works fine. When I connect an external display I can only see the standard wallpaper with no icons. So, I have a computer that I urgently need to access but can't see. Is there a keyboard shortcut to activate an external display?? Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't have the latest MaBook Pro, the Fn F7 key generally toggles the dual display settings to mirror, which would let you the default screen.
Your external connection defaults to a desktop extended display.

  • When calling a specific ATT customer from VZW phone the call does not go thru

I have a family member that just moved from Kansas to Arizona and has ATT cellular service.  Intermittently when I attempt to call her from my VZW phone  I get the VZW recording saying it cannot call the #, yet I can hang up and use a land line and call to which the call immediately goes thru.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

  • Cisco ASA 5510 and Spiceworks port forward

So you want to set up a static NAT from 207.123.123.123:9876 to 192.168.0.11:9876. (I assume you're keeping the same port on the public interface.)
Here's a link to a how-to for setting it up. (I'm headed out the door for the weekend. Sorry!) Hope this helps.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa84/asdm64/configuration_guide/asdm_64_config/na..
Skip down to the section "Configuring Static NAT or Static NAT-with-Port-Translation"

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I'm rather green with firewalls and would like some guidance with why my config is not working. I'm using ASDM 6.4.
My public address is 207.123.123.123 (simplified for this example)
My Spiceworks server is 192.168.0.11 (SpiceServer)
My SpiceServer SSL port for SW is 9876
I've created a NAT for SpiceServer to Any Outside connection. I've created an access rule for Outside where Any is destined for SpiceServer and I created a Service Group for TCP-UDP for Port 9876.
Where am I going wrong (besides everywhere)??

  • Verifying data coming from Cisco Unified CCX Historical Reports

    Good afternoon
I (along with a number of other colleagues) are heavily involved in a project to take data from a wide variety of different sources and merge it all into one system so that we can report on it in a joined-up manner.
The project comprises a number of different types of data source (such as Telephony or CRM). Within each data source type, we have various suppliers of those products. In the case of telephony data (which I'm looking into at the moment), the eventual aim is to make it possible to take data from any of the telephony platforms in use across our business (currently AVAYA, Alcatel and Cisco) and report on it in a uniform way, thus negating the need for an end-user to know what the Cisco definition of AHT is (for example).
The switch I'm currently looking at is a managed switch, meaning that we don't have any sort of direct access to the back-end database(s). We could probably get it, but I suspect that the company that manages it for us would probably charge a small fortune for that. In view of this, I'm working with a number of the standard reports in the Cisco Unified CCX system. My plan (at the moment anyway) is to identify the reports that we can use that will best provide details of all calls into and out of our contact centres. I'd be looking to get the exact details of each individual call, which could then be rolled up into manageable intervals (such as 15-minute or 30-minute).
Before I go much further, I'd like to be clear on something: I'm a database developer rather than a telecoms engineer so if I ask something that appears to be obvious then I apologise in advance. I've got quite a bit of experience of working with the CTI system that sits on top of our AVAYA platform, but it's proving to be a bit of a wrench effectively "un-learning" that system so that I can make room in my head for the Cisco solution.
So, what I've learned (or have guessed) so far is this:
    When I run the Application Performance Analysis report, the Application Names that are returned are effectively the Call Routes that are set up in the system. Each Call Route can be fed by one or more Called Number (which I understand to essentially be a DDI);
    The Application Summary Analysis report shows the same Application Name information as is shown in the Application Performance Report. However this report also shows the Called Number, thus providing slightly more information about the individual DDI being answered;
My next plan is to try and run an Agent-level report so that I can see exactly which calls each agent handled. This is where I've run into problems: I ran the CSQ - Agent Summary report for the whole of 17th October. I then ran the Agent Detail report for the same period, and ran it out to CSV so that I could "play" with the data. The CSQ - Agent Summary Report shows that a particular agent on a particular CSQ Name (ID) handled a total of 29 calls. However, if I filter the Agent Detail report for that agent and CSQ, I get a total of 30 calls and for the life of me am unable to identify where the missing call is coming from. Initially I'd thought it might be bacause the CSQ in question has two separate DDIs but as far as I can see, this is making no difference.
I NEED to be 100% sure that when I'm importing the data from the Cisco reports into our system, I am then able to mimic the types of reports that are coming from Cisco, with the same figures. Therefore, if anyone can help me, I'll be extremely grateful.
    TIA
    Ian Henderson

The "Cisco Unified CCX Historical Reports Scheduler" sits in my startup folder but seems like it doesn't "run" at startup. So I ran a "test":
    - Manually right-clicked the "Cisco Unified CCX Historical Reports Scheduler" icon in the startup folder and chose "Run as Administrator"
I didn't log off or reboot PC and the reports are running again. I checked the "properties" of the icon and I did make sure it was already set to "Run this program as an Administrator" under the "Compatibility" tab.
Not sure why it's not working...
Thank you for any help you can provide....

  • Which oracle table stores the TCP/IP port for a database sid?

Actually i am trying to create JDBC connection pool in weblogic using the oracle thin driver.
    dbURL = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@"+hostip+":1521:"+dbSID;
I am getting the hostip and dbsid information from the database table but not getting the port information. Another way is to use the tnsentry usning the tnsnames.ora but it would not be possible in my case as these pools will be created in the weblogic during the deployment and dont have the tns information on the weblogic server.
    Regards
Ora UserWell, you can't get information from the database without being connected to it. Therefor it is not logical to try to get the database to give you the information needed to connect to it. That's like trying to call someone on the phone to ask them their phone number. The only reliable way to get the info is to ask the listener: lsnrctl status

Reply from mod, oh thats easy the files for hd are some huge that sky go can't play them and no app can stream hd due to this and so when they say they are they're really sd streams, if there was any way around this we would have done it now.
