Is there a "step to step" guide for when you're new at Oracle

Hi all,
If just recently made my 1st database and I am stuck what to do next.
I have bought a few books and downloaded lots of information on the internet, maybe too much.
Is there an overview, step by step, what to do to get the database in a working condition, so I am able to make tables, views etc?
At first not too detailed, later I can fill in the blanks.

Is there a way to delete an app when you can't see the app's icon?

Is there a way to delete an app when you can't see the app's icon? I have so many apps that they don't all show up on the existing screens. I know it can be done by connecting to a computer and using iTunes, but I'm on the road away from my Mac.

I tried that and instead of showing me the inaccessible screens, it just shortens the number of available screens. Then if I reset the home screen in preferences it removes the folders I created and I'm back to square one.

Not yet. There probably will be by the time the 5th-generation iPod touch ships. If you're upgrading your current iPod, the iPhone manual might be of help since many of the features and settings will be the same, though not all:

I did all the steps to restore my password when you have never synched to a computer before. I got to step 4 where my ipod told me to connect to itunes but itunes did not respond. what do I do now?

The last step is itunes is suppose alert me that it senses a device going through recovery mode. It never did that. I also just downloaded the latest itunes so what do I do now? Is there a log of all the actions that are taken when you setup the DA role on a server and then run the configuration process?
I have a Windows 2012 R2 server that I run the initial setup for the DA role and followed some of the basic instructions to setup for Windows 8/8.1 clients only. While the configuration process was running and showing what it was doing there was a
warning about NRPT and name resolution and something about adding an exclusion. I'd like to go back and figure out what that was so I can handle it properly.

Is there a way to download your scheduled recording list for when you switch boxes?

This seems so basic....but there seems to be no way to download your program schedule. This is a real PITA because when you have a glitch in the box, or upgrade boxes you need to reprogram everything. Why can't we just plug in a thumb drive and download the "favorites" and "programs to be recorded" data to upload on a new (or reloaded) box??? Someone please tell me verizon is working on this.

its something that has been brought up repeatedly. Verizon people here on the board have said that they have submitted the request but there has never been any confimation that it is something that the people who make the decisions are even considering. I know that the front line employees (tech support and customer service) want as much as we do. Hopefully it will be something added. Maybe when they get the new boxes that were talked about earlier this year.

Is it possible to change the wait time for when you enter an incorrect password on your iphone/ipad?

I reaaally hate how anti-procrastination apps like ColdTurkey don't work for apple products, because what's the point of restricting internet usage on the computer when you can just access it from your apple device? There's no point in using the parental controls or setting passwords for obvious reasons, either.
So I had an idea: from what I know, after guessing the password incorrectly 6 times, the device is locked for 1 min, 7 times, 5 min etc. So I was thinking, is it possible to change the settings, for example, to lock the phone for 60min after 3 wrong password attempts? This would be incredibly helpful!!

Is there a way to move everything forward when you stretch select layers?

Hi,
I have a comp with multiple animations happening.
At some places in the comp I want to make layers appear longer.
When I select these and stretch them - the remaining layers need to move forward in time to compensate.
This doesnt happen and so the stretched layers over lap with upcoming (in the time line) layers.
Is there a way to do this?

You can command-select the layers you want to move and drag them forward or backward in time. It's easy. There is no way that I know of to do this automatically if you stretch a layer. AE does not have insert-and-ripple capabilities like a video editor does.
Place or move a layer in time
The layer duration bar represents the layer duration visually. The In, Out, and Duration columns in the Timeline panel represent the layer duration numerically.
Note:
To choose which columns are visible in the Timeline panel, choose Columns from the panel menu, or right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) a column heading.
These procedures move the entire layer in time.
To set the In point or Out point numerically, click the number in the In or Out column for the layer in the Timeline panel.
To move the In point or Out point to the current time, Alt-click (Windows) or Option-click (Mac OS) the number in the In or Out column for the layer in the Timeline panel.
To move the In points of selected layers to the beginning of the composition, press Alt+Home (Windows) or Option+Home (Mac OS).
To move the Out points of selected layers to the end of the composition, press Alt+End (Windows) or Option+End (Mac OS).
To move selected layers one frame later, press Alt+Page Down (Windows) or Option+Page Down (Mac OS). To move selected layers 10 frames later, press Alt+Shift+Page Down (Windows) or Option+Shift+Page Down (Mac OS).
To move selected layers one frame earlier, press Alt+Page Up (Windows) or Option+Page Up (Mac OS). To move selected layers 10 frames earlier, press Alt+Shift+Page Up (Windows) or Option+Shift+Page Up (Mac OS).
To move the entire layer in time by dragging, drag the layer duration bar to the left or right. To snap the layer duration bar to significant points in time (such as markers, or the start or end of the composition), Shift-drag the layer duration bar.
Note:
When you drag a layer in the Timeline panel, the Info panel displays the name, duration, change in time, and In and Out points for the layer.

I am not seeing any checkboxes when I edit in Address Book in Lion, can you take a screen shot (Shift Command 4) of what you're seeing and post it?

Can you reset your messages for when you search in spotlight

I dont want to turn off my messages for when I'm in spotlight I just don't want some peoples' messages to show up. Is that possible?

Only if you restore your iPhone as new. (not from backup). Then you have sync/setup your iPhone from the scratch.
