Is there a stopwatch ??

I'm kind of shocked at having so much difficulty finding such a basic app.
Mac's come with a calculator , a dictionary and even chess , so where's the stopwatch/timer ?
easy star I hope

Ok, Let's try this route(& MacUpdate has a lot of info for timers & swatches). Open Script Editor/File/New and paste this:
tell application "Terminal"
activate
do script "time cat"
end tell
Then in top menu of that page: hit Compile, record, stop and run(let them all do their task before doing each task). And save menu as Application to Desktop(or wherever). Once that's done , double click that app and terminal will start running your stopwatch/timer until you stop it with control c. And "real" is what you want. Then type exit and close window. Now what I just typed was the long way to do what I answered earlier, but as a lovely parting gift you get a desktop App......

Thank you but I'll pass. I can see disaster written all over that wall. I've crashed a few computers fooling around with things I didn't understand.

  • Is there a stopwatch In CS4?

I'm talking about the stopwatch between the graph editor & brain storm that makes it easier to animate & edit.
When I log into cs4 it's not there, but it was there when I used cs6.
Is it not available in cs4, or is it hidden somewhere in the options?
    any help is appreciated, thanks.

It certainly should be there in After Effects CS4. In fact, this feature (the Auto-keyframe button) was added in After Effects CS4.
That said, we consider this feature to have been a mistake and are phasing it out. We strongly recommend that you just use the standard keyframing feature set rather than relying on the auto-keyframing feature, which can very often do surprising and unexpected things.

  • Is there any way to copy the numbers from the iPad stopwatch?

I am doing some timestudies using the stopwatch in the clock app on an iPad mini.  Is there anyway to get the time out of the stopwatch and into notes or an e-mail?  I would like the text not just a screenshot of the stopwatch.

No, you can't. There are stopwatch apps out there that have that feature, but the default iOS app can not. I agree, it should have that feature.

  • Did you know we have a stopwatch?

I needed one recently and wondered if our phones have them.  Used the "search" function and it led me to the "Clock."  Click on options under Clock and "stopwatch" appears.  A very nifty one, too.
However, there seems to be no way to separate it out and add it to "favorites."

    Thanks!

  • Lack of Stopwatch in 6630

ain't that far from expectation that there's no mere stopwatch feature in 6630? A model which is victoriously claimed to be the first SMARTPHONE!!!
To me, sounds utterly absurd, to you?
    URL for relevant software plz.

Out of interest, a claim made by who? The first Nokia smartphone was the 7650, aka first phone to run Symbian and Series 60.

  • Save the result of iPhone Stopwatch

    Hello,
I used to use the stop watch feature of my ipod Video a lot when I was going running. Now that I have an iPhone I don't want to take my ipod with me, I much rather take the phone which has all hose features and more. My problem is that the stop watch on iPhone unlike the iPod Video does not save my time. Is there a way to still save my time, or should I just wait for the software update? It is strange that no one anywhere talk about the stop watch software.
    Thanks,
    Omar

Other than marking laps, there is no way to save stopwatch information. I would recommend you let Apple know what you are thinking.

  • Stopwatch Font too thin!

Is it possible to change the font for the stopwatch spp for the ipohone in I OS 7. I have changed the phone to bold, and it does not effect the stopwatch application. The lap counter is currently presented in a thin grey font, that is almost impossible to read from more than a foot away from a phone. While apple may find this design beautiful, it is incredibly impracticle as it is impossible to read from 3 feet away. If anyone knows a solution to make the lap timer a different color, or how to make the font bold, please let me know. if not, Appple, please work on updating this impractical font.

That font can't be changed.  Tell Apple... http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
I'm sure there are dozens, if not hundreds, of stopwatch/timer apps in the App Store.  Most are probably free.

  • Need STOPWATCH that disables the auto-lock

Here's the deal ... I start the stopwatch ... because I don't know how long it'll take (otherwise I'd use the timer, right?) ... and after a few minutes, the screen goes black ... and now I don't know how far along I am.
I'm sorry ... but that's just plain ridiculous.
I looked around ... I can't find how to change that.
Sounds like there's a lot of Clock apps out there ... but my need is very specific.
I'm hoping someone can clue me in as to which one, if any, can do what I need.
    Thanks!

cant you just set the autlock in settings to never before you start the stopwatch?

  • STOPWATCH WIDGET FOR CAPTIVATE 4

Can anyone tell me how to create a stopwatch or timer widget for Captivate 4?

You don't really have to construct a widget to do that. There are two easy ways to achieve this.
    1. Make a textbox and use the $$cpInfoElapsedTimeMS$$ Captivate system variable to show the elapsed time since the project was started. It displays the time in miliseconds,  but you could just make a rectangle in the same color as your background color and then cover up the miliseconds part of the text box. That way only the seconds will show. Remember to right-align the text in your text box.
    2. Provided that you have Flash and can use it you could make a simple flash file which reads the cpInfoElapsedTimeMS variable from Captivate - strips away the miliseconds and display the result in a dynamic text box.

  • Getting saved ipod stopwatch sessions onto my mac?

I could have sworn that there was a way to sync the stopwatch from the ipod to the desktop or right into itunes but I've searched and can find nothing on this board, google or the ipod manual.
was I dreaming this? did apple kill this feature in a version or firmware update (which, BTW, makes my ipod scrolling horribly slow)?

To begin with, you can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘ Apple) keys. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and it will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. You should then be able to change your settings: iTunes for Mac 7.3 Keyboard Shortcuts
There are various programs out there for recovering photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you search the internet you can find more. Just be aware that what you'll be recovering will be photos optimised for the iPod so they won't be the same quality as the original full resolution versions:
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
Keith's iPod Photo Reader Mac only
If you have full resolution copies of the photos on the iPod have a look here: Apple Knowledge Base article - Use Disk Mode to copy photos from iPod

    Hi there,
In Multisim go to Simulate>>Mixed-Mode Simulation Settings and select Use Real pin models. This mode requires power and digital ground which you already have in the schematic.

  • Controlling Stopwatch in Program using Serial DTR/DTS/RTS

    Hi,
I have a device which I have attached to my PC using a RS232 to USB connection. It is a 9 port pin serial push button type device. Pin 4 is the DTR with a resistor in the circuit. Pin 7 is the RTS with the switch, and Pin 6 is the DSR for the circuit.
I'd like to set the DTR to High, and set the RTS to low, and read the DSR state of the device in my Labview program.
What I'd like to build is a simple stopwatch in my program. This stopwatch should execute when the main program starts, and be continuously reading the DSR state of my com device. When it changes it should stop the stopwatch.
Can someone guide me with this?
I've attached my program thus far, and need some help. The program right is now is just executing vibratory motors through an Arduino MEGA.
    Thanks!

Few more updates...I'm not quite there yet..
What I need to do is make the program only record the time between when a motor comes on, and when the user pushes the button changing the DSR state to 'Unasserted'. I think this would affectively give me the reaction time it took between the two events...
Alternatively, I was thinking of perhaps having a separate elapsed time counter from the start of the button, and then stop and spit out the time it took for the motor to actually turn on (since there is a delay from when the program turns on to actually communicating with the device. So I need to effectively subtract this time out of the equation when the user is told to be ready and press the button.
    Can someone please help me?

  • Stopwatch Randomly Stops On It's Own - iOS5/4S

I use the built-in stopwatch in the "Clock" app quite a bit for work.  I just got the 4S on Friday and was using the stopwatch several times today.  Three seperate times, the stopwatch simply stopped without me touching it at all.  First time or two I just thought I had brushed it or something and then I noticed that when it stops itself, the total time is still there but the lap time in the top right corner is reset to zero. If you stop the watch yourself, the lap time in the top right corner is preserved.
I realize people have a lot more fun things to play with on their new phones than the stopwatch, but has anyone else had this happen at all?

Hello Fixvet. I will send you a private message on how to perform a more powerful reset. Please check your inbox.

  • Re: The Forte Stopwatch

We had a similar problem. We reported the problem to Forte technical
support and they determined that it is a bug. I don't know if this has been
    fixed in the 3.0.F release.
The Stopwatch seems to be accurate for long (several second) intervals, but
it can't be trusted for measuring short intervals.

    All,
At our site we are using Windows NT 4.0 clients and a Windows NT
    Server with Forte 3.0.E.0.
Periodically, we use the Forte StopWatch class to measure durations for
    access to data. We've noticed
a strange phenomenon, and we're not sure if it's simply circumstance or if
there's a problem. All of the
measured durations that we receive through the Split method appear to
    contain either a 0 or a 9 in the
tenth-of-a-second position. For example, values of 1011 and 1912. Has
    anybody noticed this?
    Thank you,
    Keith

    Hello Kevin,
Normally, it has been corrected from the last public release 2.
    Hope this helps.

    2. then time running and will shown in adf input text using this format hh:mm:ss
    3. user click stop button, then total time will insert into database; total time = stop time - start time
