Is there a stylus made by Apple, for their touch screen products?

I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad 2.

No, but Targus makes a good stylus for the iPad and iPhone.

  • Is there a stylus with a nib for the iPad...and an app that goes with it?

Is there a stylus available for the ipad that looks and feels like a pen? I asked the question on the highstreet the other day and was shown a stylus that was as thick as my finger!!! (I think it was made by a company called Genius?). I am used to using an IBM tablet pc which comes with a stylus that can write in quite fine lines- can this be done on the iPad? Also if the answer is yes, I'd like to know if there is an application similar to Windows journal whereby you can save notes into your own file structure? Can anyone help- surely these are basic things for a tablet pc- I don't know why the folks on the highstreet can't help confirm this??? Thank you

The iPad screen uses a different technology to the tablet PC to which you refer and any 'stylus' needs to have sufficient width and to be able to transmit an electrical current. That's why the styli for iPads are usually thick and made from a 'sponge' like material.
You could try http://www.beststylus.com/ I have one of theirs on order but haven't received it yet. The videos look encouraging, but you'll never get the thin line experience of the tablet PC. (On the other hand you couldn't really use your finger as a stylus on the tablet; different ideas about input).
On the app side you may want to look at Note Taker Hd (works quite well without a stylus) and Mental Note (this is what I'm hoping the stylus will help with).

  • Seriously, is there no way to EMAIL Apple for support?

I am gobsmacked. I want to contact apple for a refund of iCloud storage. I bought way more than I need, There is no way to reach them via email or chat? I can do so with every bank, credit card, and many retailers. I don't want to make a call, but have no choice?
I over bought, and realized I did so.  All the pages you go to say to simply contact apple to refund. NONE of them give you a link to any number, or email. You need to search this out?
I've dug and found pages that will hook me up to a phone call. Why?

    https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
    That was hard.

  • Has anyone been able to get a repair/proper fix from Apple for their LCD?

The more I use my Macbook Pro while traveling the more i notice the 'sparkly/grainy' display. Compared to the White/Black Macbook it is obviously noticable what i'm talking about - especially on white backgrounds. My question is - has anyone been able to get a proper repair/fix for this common problem for the Core 2 Duo 15" Macbook Pro's?
I normally have my Macbook Pro connected to an external display but when i do take it along when I travel it stands out more and more every time.
Is Apple going to issue a 'recall/repair' for their customers who bought their Macbook Pro's? What am I to do here, When i need to use my laptop when I travel I can't take the annoyance of using this LCD screen.
    C2D 2.16 2GB   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Yes, I can CLEARLY see it, it's like wearing glasses that are filthy. The laptop is one week old and I could see it from after the 802.11n upgrade. This is not all that zoomed, really. To me it looks like a video memory problem, not a LCD problem. The problem is the same if I connect an external DELL monitor. Also very visible there. Also very visible if I change resolutions or number of colours. The main reason I believe it's a video memory thing is that when I move a window, it changes from white to, well... yellow and red. Check out: http://niklas.saers.com/MBP/MG8665.jpg That is why I am unsure if this is the kind of grain you are talking about. Can you confirm that this is the kind of problem you guys are seeing?
    PS, I use a Canon 20D with a 100mm f/2.8 macro lens.

  • Is there going to be a update for ipod touch 4th generation soon???

I'm really hoping there will be a new update for my ipod soon... it's getting slow

You probably don't need an update if your iPod is slower than it once was. Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you try restoring from a backup and that doesn't fix the problem, try restoring to factory settings and, if the problem goes away, then synching your apps. You'll lose the app data and settings, but if the problem is due to a corrupt cache or settings file, that should cure it.
    Regards.

  • I'd trade the iPhone screen for a Touch screen any day.

To anyone who thinks the Touch screen is inferior to the iPhone...
I posted this at macrumors. I do not own a Touch. I do own an iPhone, and have been looking at its screen every day since June 29th.
I just spent some time playing with the Touch in the store. The first thing I noticed is how vibrant and contrasty the screen looked overall. (The sample I played with did not display the negative effect.) Then I pulled out my iPhone to compare it to and maxed the brightness on both. By comparison, my iPhone, which I've always considered to have a decent screen, was considerably more washed out. About a full stop overexposed in photo terms. The Touch's colors were a lot more punchy and saturated, the blacks achieved pure black.
Of course this meant there was some missing shadow detail in dark areas, but I'd hardly say it was inferior to the iPhone as some have insisted. As a photographer who shot Fuji Velvia exclusively for years, I found the Touch screen much nicer to look at.

I didn't post that to raise the ire of anyone with a defective "negative effect" screen. (which is why I included the disclaimer that the one I looked at was free from the defect)
I posted in repsonse to some people who claim the Touch screen is in general a lower quality screen. Seeing the difference between the Touch and the iPhone, I'm a little bummed and find myself wishing my iPhone looked as good. That's all.

  • Apple TV and Touch Screen TV

Is it possibile to use a touch screen compatibile TV to control/navigate an Apple TV (3rd gen) connected to the TV.
For example say AirPlay mirrioring was enabled between an iPad and Apple TV, could the touch screen compatibile TV then be used to navigate around the iPad with gestures?

    No.

  • Export flash file for a touch screen at 1920x1080 resolution

    Hi all,
we are trying to export a flash file at 1920 resolution fron CS5.1 Encore. it does not give an option for this, max is 1280x720.
will we be able to do this if we upgrade to CS6?
what is the best way to get an applitation running for a touchs creen at this resolution?
    many thanks!
    Alessa

Can't test the encode at the moment, but on the build tab, use "Edit Quality Presets," select F4v, then change the profile to High. If you try 1920 without the change, you are prompted to change the profile/level. I do not know what options work for the flash export. But I was able to set a 1920x1080 preset.
    Save the custom preset.
The system automatically applied the custom preset to the build.
Edit: Sorry; this is CS6, but I don't think the ability to edit presets changed. Don't know about the max size.

  • Looking for pin out for tx2000 touch screen

any one have the pinout or know where I can get it for the TX2000 touch screen.  I'm looking to put this into my car as a monitor for my carputer. HP techs can you help me out. Many thanks.

    Hello mricci,
As long as it is not customer induced damage, the screen is replaceable under your warranty. I do not believe changes in temperature would be considered CID. In other words, as long as you didn't drop it or throw it, it should be replaceable. I would contact the Ideapad Support line and schedule a repair for it.
Keep in mind for future references that when a computer is exposed to temperatures coler than 32 F, the liquid in the lcd can freeze up when that happens. To warm up the computer, it must be exposed little by little to a warmer temperature to avoid damage to the screen and condensation to it's internal hardware. Hope that helps.

  • Does Apple cover the touch screen part if its broken?

I dropped my iPad on the ground and the screen shattered. I thought it was just the screen but the touch screen part (i dont know what its called) doesnt  work on the top half of the screen, i want to know if Apple covers that.

The warranty covers factory defects, not user damage. Apple will replace your iPad, but you'll need to pay; the AppleCare+ deductible if you  have such coverage or Apple's standard out-of-warranty replacement price.
    Regards.
