Is there a switch for 'FORCE' when creating object type?

Where is the property to indicate whether or not to include the keyword FORCE when creating an object type?

Thanks, the support that SDDM provides for Object Types is much better than Oracle Designer. I am looking forward to the release where we can flag a method's parameter as 'DEFAULT NULL' and especially the ability to include an inherited or included attribute as part of the primary key or the primary key. With the last release where the method body is stubbed out with 'BEGIN NULL; END;' really provided the basic ability for rapid prototyping. Once the key 'FORCE' is in place, the ability to rapid prototype will become even more functional.

    How siginificant depends on how low resolution the photo is and how sensative you are to poor prints - it displays when a -photo will print below 180 dpi - what is the DPI of the photos that is givingyou the warning (the photo size divided byt the pixel size)

  • Is there a way to force a View Object to query the database always?

    Dear All,
    Is there a way to force a view object to always scan the database table to read the latest data?
    Here's my use case.
    I have a page that loads data then I have a button which executes the following code.
    viewObject.setApplyViewCriteriaName("SampleCriteria");
    viewObject.setNamedWhereClauseParam("arg1", "test");
    viewObject.executeQuery();
    RowSetIterator it = viewObject.createRowSetIterator(null);
    while(it.hasNext()) {
         /* More Code */
    }Suppose after page load, I edited some row in the table and then I clicked the button. I notice that my edited row
    was not reflected in the query.
    I am not sure but is there some configuration to check so that when the viewobject executes it will always query the data
    from the table?
    I am thinking that there is some level of caching and I want to disable it. If I restart my application, I notice that it is able to read the latest data.

    By default a view object performs its query against the database to retrieve the rows in its resulting row set. However, you can also use view objects to perform in-memory searches and sorting to avoid unnecessary trips to the database.
    The view object's query mode controls the source used to retrieve rows to populate its row set. For more details please refer: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b25947/bcadvvo005.htm

  • Delivery method when creating course type

    Hi,
      I am not getting the 'Delivery method' option when creating course type..it takes 'Class room' training by default always..
    I was getting this option 2 days before..Do i have to change some configs for this?
    Regards,
    Sharadha

    Hi Sharadha,
    I am facing the same problem.
    But despite adding Infotype 5007 for Object Type D in table T777I, the Delivery Method option is not appearing for me.
    It was appearing as long as LSO was activated in the system.
    But since my customer is not using LSO, we deactivated it. My customer is using TEM stand-alone (ECC6.0).
    I suspect this functionality is available only while using LSO.
    Let me know if you are aware of this.
    Thanks.

  • When is object type decided?

    I'd like to know when "OLTP Object Type(*)" is decided.
    Though I created the planned order in APO, "OLTP Object Type" wasn't determined.
    I checked existed planned order in my system and I found some planned orders have already been assigned "5" for "OLTP Object Type" but the others haven't been assinged yet.
    When is object type decided? And how can we control this?
    *OLTP Object Type = R/3 Object Type = Order_Type (import parameter of "BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3"(Order Category in OLTP System))
    The selectable values are the following.
    0     Stock
    1     Purchase Requisition
    2     Purchase Order
    3     Sales Order
    4     Planning
    5     Planned Order
    6     Production Order
    7     Reservation
    8     APO Local Order
    9     Advanced Shipping Notification
    A     Order Confirmation
    B     Delivery
    I     Inspection Lot
    M     Maintenance Order
    P     Project Order
    R     Proposed Order
    T     Shipment
    V     VMI Stock Transfer Order
         Not yet determined
    You can check the "OLTP Object Type" from transaction code "/n/sapapo/om16" (Ordmap Anchor Table tab).

    Hello Shohei,
    "OLTP Object Type(*)"  is of more importance to the external system; surely, it would be assigned after the number is changed by the CIF .
    The document is created an send it to R/3 or ECC (if you have publication types, Integration models, etc...); when the external system confirm the document and return it to SCM via CIF, the  "OLTP Object Type(*)" should be assigned.
    Probably you only have this number for documents working on planning version 000, and not for other planning versions.
    At the end: "OLTP Object Type(*)" is decided by the external system, when documents go trough CIF.
    Please check the following documentation:
    "Order Category in OLTP System
    The (OLTP or R/3) order category is used in addition to the order number to identify an order that has been transferred from an external (or R/3) system to the APO system.
    Some examples of order categories are sales orders (fixed value 3), purchase orders (fixed value 2), and production orders (fixed value 6).
    You can use various (OLTP or R/3) order categories for certain APO business objects, such as production orders or in-house production.
    For example, a procurement order (BUS10502) in the APO system can contain both procurement orders (category 2) and purchase requisitions (category 1). In APO, the order category is only used to identify an order in combination with the order number. The category is also used in part to determine if an order/schedule line in the APO system can be changed by a user or not (a purchase order, for example, may no longer be changed, while a purchase requisition may still be changed). Generally, the order category is of more importance to the external system. For example, the R/3 system needs to know whether it is a purchase order or a purchase requisition that is being dealt with.
    If an SAP (e.g. R/3) system is not linked to the APO system, and this system is to be used to exchange the order information that requires a certain order category, we recommend that you use the standard values, for example category 2 for business object BUS10502.
    Orders that are created within an APO system, for example in a planning run, are not given an (OLTP) order category when created, since they were not transferred to the APO system from an external system. These orders all automatically receive (for example, when they are imported) the order category 8 (APO local order). These orders have an APO internal order category which distinguishes between criteria such as in-house production or external procurement. In a subsequent (optional) step, an external system can then decide whether an order created in APO is a purchase order (category 2) or a purchase requisition (category 1) and assign it an (OLTP) order category and an (external) order number.
    You find these values in the documentation of the respective function or of the domain fixed values.
    Note that certain functions (for example, configurations) are only possible for certain order categories."

  • Problem with default value for Billing when creating Business Partner

    In Sales Area data - Billing screen we want to default a value for Price List Type when creating a Busines Partner.
    We implemented  BADI 'BUPA_FRG0030_UPDATE'  and followed suggestions from another thread :
    Defaulting Currency Value to 'USD' during BP Creation.
    But This only seems to work when you change an existing BP.
    If we use FUNCTION 'CRM_BUPA_FRG0030_SAVE' in the BADI this function is called again by the system when saving the BP and causes a dump.
    Also the UPDATE functions only seem to work when you change an existing BP and not when creating one.
    Any suggestions if we can use another BADI or other function modules/methods ?
    Or some sample coding for implementing BUPAFRG0030_SAVE'  the correct way ?
    Thanks for the help,
    Steve

    Brent,
    When I use the latest build 10.1.3.3.81, this gets generated:
    <managed-property>
    <property-name>defaultValues</property-name>
    <map-entries>
    <map-entry>
    <key>ManagerId</key>
    <value>#{'#{jhsTypeConverter.stringToNumber['100']}'}</value>
    </map-entry>
    </map-entries>
    </managed-property>
    Which is slightly better, but still failing because the single quotes get mixed up.
    This should be generated:
    <managed-property>
    <property-name>defaultValues</property-name>
    <map-entries>
    <map-entry>
    <key>ManagerId</key>
    <value>#{"#{jhsTypeConverter.stringToNumber['100']}"}</value>
    </map-entry>
    </map-entries>
    </managed-property>
    which can be achieved by changing the defaultValuesBean.vm template like this:
    <managed-property>
    <property-name>defaultValues</property-name>
    <map-entries>
    #foreach ($defaultValue in $group.defaultValues.keySet())
    <map-entry>
    <key>$defaultValue</key>
    #if ($group.defaultValues.get($defaultValue).startsWith("#{"))
    <value>#{"$group.defaultValues.get($defaultValue)"}</value>
    #else <value>$group.defaultValues.get($defaultValue)</value> #end
    </map-entry>
    #end
    </map-entries>
    </managed-property>

    Hi Arun,
    its just a portal service which would be called when  searching a document created on a particular date or betwwen a range of date.so what i require is which BW variable to be used when handling range.As for variable technical name we use VAR_NAME_I  and for single value variable we VAR_VALUE_EXT_I
    in the similar manner i want BW variable to be used for range of values.
    Thanks

    Hi there,

    I need to create 2 input parameters to pass in - 'attribute' and 'attribute value'  in PL/SQL and these 2 parameters will be

    Reason to do this as these fields are required to be grouped together as they are created in different tables. They are treated as 'attribute' (consists of many columns) of the part number. So, the PL/SQL is requested to design in a way able for user to pass in the column name and column value or part number, then the select statement should be able to query for the records. Another reason is a new column can be added easily without keep modifying those effected programs. Reuseable too.This basically equates to ... hard to code, hard to maintain, and poor performance.
    Are you really sure you want to do this? This isn't going to be easy-street as you seem to think it is, but it's a one way street to a poorly performing system with security vulnerabilities (google SQL Injection).
    I would highly recommend you reconsider your design decision here.

  • ClassNotFoundException when creating objects

    Hi, am am pretty new to using java reflection and all that stuff - so this could be a fairly obvious question.
    I am using reflection to create objects whose names are only known at runtime. The method is as follows:
        public static IGene getRandomGene(Vector genes){
            int size = genes.size();
            int rndOp = (int)Math.floor(Math.random() * size);
            String newClassName = (String)genes.get(rndOp);
            IGene newGene = null;
            try {
                Class geneDefinition = Class.forName(newClassName);
                Constructor cons = geneDefinition.getConstructor(new Class[0]);
                newGene = (IGene)GeneUtils.createObject(cons, new Object[0]);
            } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
                System.out.println(e); //And the ClassNotFoundException is encountered
            } catch (NoSuchMethodException e) {
                System.out.println(e);
            return (OperatorGene)newGene;
        }The name of the class to be created (newClassName) is found fine.
    My includes are:
    package simplegp;
    import java.util.Vector;
    import java.lang.reflect.*;
    import simplegp.operandGenes.*;
    import simplegp.operatorGenes.*;
    import simplegp.operatorGenes.doubleOps.*;
    import simplegp.operatorGenes.singleOps.*;These includes definatly cover the classes to be included.
    Am i maknig a silly mistake? I cannot fingure it out.
    Many thanks for any help
    Adam
    PS. The code is for some evolutionay programming, hence havnig Genes

    I seem to have solved the problem - sorry for not searching the forums first.
    I had to specify the class names as:
    simplegp.operandGenes.IntOperandGene
    Rather than just: IntOperandGene

  • Use TYPE RECORD or Create Object TYPE to build Collection?

    Hi All,
    I need to pull in data from our ERP system via a DB Link to keep some of our Web Data up to date. I wasn't sure if I should pull the data into my collection by creating a TYPE RECORD or Creating an Object Type and fillng it that way. Is there a preferrable method?
    Record:
    TYPE ItemInventory IS RECORD (
    ProductID Products.ProductID%TYPE,
    Qty Products.QTY%TYPE);
    Object:
    Create Type ProdObj as Object(
    ProductID Products.ProductID%TYPE,
    QTY Products.QTY%TYPE);
    Maybe both are suitable....wasn't sure.
    Any suggestions/info is greatly apprecaited.

    We have a complex view we use from our ERP system that allows us to pull all of our available inventory and update our website with that information. What I was thinking I would do is refactor the current procedures that are in place to update this information and pull that views information into a collection so that I could speed up the update process.The basic difference between the two is that one is a dumb record structure (similar to a C struct), whereas the other is an intelligent class (similar to a class definition in Java/C++). It can have methods and constructors.
    The next major difference is that one can only be use in the PL language and not in SQL. The record struct is a PL data type definition. PL cannot provide SQL engine support for it.
    On the other hand, the SQL type definition is supported by both the PL and SQL languages. This allows the type to be transparently used in both languages.
    I usually prefer the SQL type definition approach in general, as it allows for more flexibility.
    However, for pure collection processing in PL/SQL, there's very little to choose between the two approaches as they serve the exact same purpose - increasing performance by decreasing context switching between the PL and SQL engines.
    So you need to look beyond mere bulk collection and bulk processing to decide on which approach to use. For example, a SQL type definition allows for a standard SQL projection from cursors, enabling PL/SQL code to be cursor agnostic (as each cursor, irrespective of the table(s) queried, returns the same object type). However, if the aim is simply to bulk collect from that specific cursor, then it is a lot simpler to use a PL record struct.
