IS THERE A T400 BIOS ARCHIVE?

I bought a used T400 – this is my first Lenovo laptop. It has Win7 and the bios is ver. 2.16 dated 4/22/09.
I see there is a newer bios available – 3.24 dated 2/07/12. I haven’t experienced any problems running the current bios, but I haven’t been through all the functions on this machine. So, I have a couple questions:
After an extensive search, I see there are 19 bios updates since ver. 2.16 !!!!!!!!
1. Anyone know if it’s worth updating from my current bios?
2. Is there a bios archive somewhere that lists the various updates & details the fixes within each update? (if so, can they be downloaded
3. When updating a bios on my pc’s – I’ve always done it in steps, ie., when going from version 1 to say, version 10 – you would update to ver 3 then ver. 7 then ver. 10. If, it’s recommended to update to the current version – should this be done in steps as I’ve described?
I will be installing an SSD and a clean install of Win7 with minimal additional software. I’m only using it for travelling – web surfing, entertainment and file sharing on my home network.

You don't need to do incremental updates unless the README says it's necessary.

1. When I press power button notebook and OS start as usual.
2. When I press power button and after I turn PC to BIOS mode, PC is crashing (shortly).
3. So, I checked using standard OS tools hard disks for errors (errors was on disk where OS and all software installed. All errors was fixed).
4. After I started using standard OS tools (Start from: BIOS->System start from CD-Rom with tools on CD) RAM memory test.
5. On stage Test All Memory PC crashed. (No any dumps/logs left in the system about crashing).
6. Now I need to do some physical manipulations. Ill have check each memory module. And I don't know how looking my motherboard, what is where on it. Where I can see scheme with details, names and elementary explanations (what is what)?
Im not sure, but motherboard should be IALAA..?

Is there any way to archive correspondence customer statements in SAP

Hi,
1) Is there a way to archive customer statements for correspondence that SAP has provided? If not, do you know of any way that companies use to archive customer statements?
2) Business Address Services -- Does it fall under the realm of functional or technical teams? The reason I ask is there are some customers that need to get their statements by mail and some by fax and some with both by fax and mail. I found out that this can be done by BAS. But it all looks too technical to me.
3) Can customer statements only be generated using SAP script or are you sure you can use SMARTFORMS?

Well for your answer.
1) to my knowledge most of the company save customer statement externally, either through paper or as pdf files.but you can generate customer statement as describe by SURE above.
2) Well Business address services fall under functional even through it seems too technical. But you need help to techinical team to execute the same. as in the end configuration needs to be done for output types to decide if its printed or send through Fax. etc.
3) Smartforms can also be used but SAP script is the most commonly used.

my bios at the moment is 7UET66WW (2.16) im using windows 8 should I upgrade the bios for the windows 7 which is : 3.24/3.25

You can upgrade the BIOS in Windows 8, no problem, but should you is another matter.
I've always had a "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" attitude towards BIOS upgrades, however
I do try to keep my ThinkPads current.

We are using process model for reguarl and off-cycle payroll. Now it is very slow everytime when running trasaction code PUST in production.
It could be because there are too many jobs on the list. So is there a way to archive those jobs.

I just tried this process in the process model workbench. I selected to delete all jobs created in February 2008 but I can still see all of them after H99UCDP0 is run. I can see it did something because when I run it again it didn't give me any result.
I just want to be sure I understand what you're saying. You went to utilities and selected complete/delete several processes? If so, you'll see that the interface for H99UCDP0 is broken into two main areas: Close Processes and Delete completed processes. Our variant that is used for the daily job has both areas complete, such that the process gets closed, first, then deleted. If you just went to delete your processes, I think you could have issues.
Where can I see the application log.
I'm not following you. Try transaction SM37 to see the job, that is if you ran it in the background.
And how is this process different from highlighting the job and go to 'Edit -> Process -> Close'? It deleted the job and I can not see it on the list.
This process also for mass closing and deletes of the processes. Otherwise, you'll have to go into each and every process to close it and delete it. Once the job is deleted it is removed from the current view, to see deleted jobs (I think) go from the menu, Process overview --> Set Filter there might be an option to see deleted processes.

Here is the last thing I received from MSI tech support. I'll give them this much, they are much more responsive than VIA or AOpen ever were when I first got my flakey MVP3 board...lol. I hope they can figure this problem out!

That problem is a hardware problem. According to informatino from the Lenovo staff posted elsewhere in this discussion forum, the 1.12 bios stops the emergence of this hardware problem. So it seems like a tragic coincidence that your problem became visible at precisely the same time you flashed the bios. In this case, it was too late.
BTW I have had the speaker problem fixed a couple of times now and it came back again. I have flashed the new bios and when I send it off to get fixed again, I hope it will be for the last time, now the BIOS fix is in place.

GF4 Ti4200 / bios archive

HI, since i flashed my video card bios, I have developed a couple of problems and want to flash it back to a previos bios (i used the tool to do it so not sure which i now have), however I cannot find a VGA bios archive anywhere on MSI sites or others. Can anyone help point me to them please, and the manual flashing tool.
Problems are...... corrupted display when resuming from sleep, and the startup screens are way too wide until i get into windows, not a problem until i try and get into bios and cant see the writing on the left/right as its cut off.yes i know i can adjust monitor but i shouldnt have to.

I would try to RMA the card.

T400 BIOS without iAMT option

Hi, I have a T400 with BIOS version 1.13 with no iAMT option. I have another T400 with iAMT option and BIOS version is 1.18. Can I convert my BIOS 1.13 to 1.18 to show iAMT? Or is this hardware control and upgrading the BIOS will kill the T400 with BIOS 1.13? Pls advise.

There might just not yet be the need to launch a whole warranty case in my opinion. The link you refer to is only usable if you have a fully functioning bios. Your case is special. You're facing a corrupt bios.
May I ask you if you get to see the initial boot screen (typical white Thinkpad & intel logo on a black background)?

I have been thinking to upgrade my cpu to E8400, but after some time passing through the forums, internet and asking some of my friends, I have decided not to. This is because I have seen many people frustrated and trying get their E8xxx's working on their moboard with endless efforts because of the wrong information given in the CPU support list of P6N-SLI Platinum. Yet, I have seen that only a few people have managed to get it work but with risky, manual adjustments.
So here is my question, will there be a new bios for P6N SLI Platinum that will make E8xxx series post without any adjustments for the users that want to stick with their P6N SLI Plat.?

Change your sync settings in iTunes, you're probably syncing all apps rather than selected apps. By default, app purchases are always available in the App Store for re-download if you want it back on the iPhone but don't want to re-sync to get it.

IS THERE A 875p bios that will ALLOW PERFORMANCE MODE enabled in 5:4 setup

if i run my pc3200 (400mhz) ram at 333mhz in the bios, performance mode doesnt work. no matter if it is on SLOW,TURBO,FAST,ULTRA, i get the same perfomance marks in programs. cpuz might say its enabled...but it really not. my sandra scores stay the same. when running 1:1 my performance modes work perfectly. any bios version out there that will allow this?

Isn't performance mode (PAT, MAT, HyperPath or whatever) tied to the 1:1 synchronous clock operation?
Are we 100% certain that CPU-Z and Sandra are able to detect PAT/MAT/HyperPath mode properly?

Is there any script to archive the HFM logs?

Currently, we are manually archiving the HFM logs from the servers. Is there any automated way (i.e. any script for this process)?

Please confirm what log you are talking about :
- HsvEventLog.log
- HFM Application specific Task Audit log stored in HFM database? (<APP_NAME>TASKAUDIT)
- HFM Error Log stored in HFM database? (HFM_ERRORLOG)
- Windows event logs referring to Hyperion/hfm?
For the database tables, you could create SQL (or oracle) jobs to copy the data to a different table, or export it somewhere.
For the file(s) such as HsvEventLog.log file, you could create a windows scheduled task or cron job on unix to move the files somewhere.
For the Windows event log, I believe you could create a job to export log data, but I've never bothered with this log since most of the info you will find here is also in the error log from HFM.
