Is there a TRIM document management portlet ?

Hello, Are there any portlets for the TRIM document management application ?

I've never used pages, but I do use Documents to Go and I've been happy with it. I don't think they have a free version you can play with, however other apps do if you want to try the free version (Lite) to see if they are worth paying for.

  • Document Management Portlet

I just wonder if anybody had a chance to use or evaluate prebuild portlets in the
WebLogic Portal 8.1. I would like to buy WebLogic to build our internal portal
but I need some functionality to be out-of-the-box like calendar, news, msg board,
    hopefully dms, and so on...
Mostly, I'm interested in Document Management portlet and I wonder if anybody
heared anything good about that portlet that is slated for release at the end
    of 2003.
    Any comments are greatly appreciated,
    Leszek

This page would be a good starting point:

  • Document Manager Portlet

    Hi all,
I tried to install the Document Manager portlet in Portal 9.0.2, but I am getting compilation errors:
PLS-00201: identifier 'WWV_CORNERDB.CORNERARRAY' must be declared
PLS-00201: identifier 'WWSBR_FOLDER_REGION.REGION_ARRAY' must be declared
PLS-00201: identifier 'WWUI_API_PAGE_STYLE' must be declared
I can't find these packages in the portal schema, does anyone know what the corresponding packages are in 9.0.2?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

I got smoothly through by using portal30 as install schema.

  • Pages.   Is there a better document management App?

I have had Pages for a few months.  I downloaded it, knowing it had some editing drawbacks.  But one major irritant is that documents copied to Pages drops text - even whole sections of a WORD document.  Of course, it messes up text in tables but I didn't expect it to drop so much.  Frankly, I am now reluctant to bother with it.
There are a number of other apps which refer to documents.  But I wonder if there is a recommended one?  I don't want to pay, say, $20.00 and find it to be little better than Pages.
    Thank you.

  • How to show document title instead of file name in Document Manager

In WebCenter Portal 11g PS5, there is the Document Manager task flow:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/webcenter.1111/e10149/content_doctf.htm#BABGAICC
it displays a list of a Folder and its contents, much alike the output of the COLLECTION_DISPLAY service in the Content Server.
I was wondering if there is a way (customization) to display the dDocTitle of content items (or particular content items) instead of the file name.
While displaying the filename makes sense in a lot of cases we have a lot of Contributor Data Files that are saved as dDocName.xml which doesn't make much sense to the user viewing the folder they are stored in.

This is now possible using a customization and additional command-line properties, see the following Support note:

  • Document Management Repositories

    First a little background:
We have recently purchased Oracle Workflow (Standalone)for use in a Content Management application, along with the Internet File system, and Oias. The application is intended to be a moderately simple (Create), Edit, Review, Approve, Publish workflow, where different document classes have a slightly different path.
I noticed on the demo pages the Document Review demo, but unfortunately it does not appear to work, as there are no "Document Management Repositories" created.
    Now to the questions:
Is is possible to configure Oracle Internet File System as a document repository to get this demo to work? If so, is there documentation to inform us how to go about it?
If not, is there another product in the Oracle suite that we can use, or more information about what Document Management Repositories are/will be supported?
Our application needs to be in production by March (with production software). If I can get the demo to work, I would like to proceed along with a customisation of the demo technology - how dangerous an approach is that, noting that the manual states that any reference to Document Management Repos are "for reference only".
If this is not an approach that is viable, I assume I will continue down the path of using PL/SQL and java for integration with Internet file system, and doing the coding for the activities manually.
thanks for any help on this - my aim this week is to get the Document Review demo working if at all possible....
    keep smiling
    Brigette

    Hello,
The workflow demo is to provide a simple, yet common approval processes involved in any document management system. Oracle Workflow itself does not include any document management repositories. You can use any document management system and use Oracle Workflow to manage the processes involved when handling different documents.
The documents sent for approval in the demo are sent as attachments to the notification. You can also include hyperlink to documents stored and any document management system including iFS. In fact, we are already integrated with iFS.
For correct versions of iFS/CMSDK which has workflow pre-integrated, please contact the iFS folks.
    Cheers,
    Raja

  • Document Management Partners

What Document Management Applications can Oracle Portal interface with? There was apparently a white paper published in Spring 2002 about interfacing Documentum with Oracle Portal. I cannot find this White Paper and cannot see Documentum listed as a partner in the Portlet Catalog. Are there any other doc management vendors Oracle Portal interfaces with?

    Jeff,
Oracle is working with Documentum to produce portlets that expose Documentum functionality. These portlets are not yet released, so they are not in the Portal Catalog. Availability date is not yet finalized. Please periodically check the Catalog for latest information.
Oracle does have a number of document management partners -- 170 Systems, Interwoven, Mediasurface plc, Open Text, Stellent and Tridion -- all of which are in the Portal Catalog.

  • Using the Document Manager Rich Text Editor

I'm wondering whether there is a reasonable way we can use the Rich Text Editor (based on CKEditor) that is contained within the Document Manager task flow (primarily for editing Wiki pages) outside of the Document Manager itself? We have another type of content we need a Rich Text Editor for, but it would be great if we could use the inline image links, tables, links to documents in the content repository, etc.

Have you consider use Site Studio + Content Presenter?

  • Activating u00E1 former Window after calling a Document management picture

    Hi,
in an ABAP programm I am calling function module CVAPI_DOC_VIEW2 which opens a new window where I can view a Document management picture for a given material number.
My problem is, that the new called window is active and I have to use a mouse click to activate the first window to enter a new material number with a barcode reader.
How can I activate the first window through ABAP without having to use a mouse click again ?
Is there a function module or class available which I can call to activate the first window again?
Below you find a short programm which calls the funtion module CVAPI_DOC_VIEW2.
Thank you in advance for an answer.

I've run into this issue in CP4 as well though I've never been sure why it happens. It looks like you're opening the swf through a browser to so, for want of a solution, the easiest workaround is the edit the html file.
open it in a text editor such as Notepad.
Five or six lines down you'll find the title element which defines the title as it will display in your browser titlebar:  <title>This text is the title that displays in your browser title bar</title>
Just change the text the the title you want and save the html file.
If you go with this solution, I suggest that when you are publishing the project again you deselect the option "Export HTML" in the publish wondow. Otherwise you will have to edit your html file each time you publish.
    Hope this helps.

  • Document Management in GRC 10.0 Process Control 10.0

Hi - Our Company is looking to implement GRC 10.0 Process Control 10.0. We have a bit of a challenge for which document management services to go with . Currently there is no integration between GRC 10.0 and OpenText or Sharepoint. I was wondering what solutions others have for Document Management in GRC 10.0
    Thanks

    Hi Sabita,
Did you check this article on Content Life Cycle Mngt supports all SAP GRC products. Check the link for detailed article and I hope this would be right direction for your company to go.

  • Project Document Management for Primavera?

    Hi,
I made some test with Oracle UCM trying to evaluate if it could be suitable to be used as a Document Management for Projects. My perception after these (short) tests is that UCM seems to be too generalist and too complex to be used in conjunction with Primavera Software: it seems to me that it could bring to an iceberg, being the out of water part quite smaller than the underwater architecture.
I would know if there are some other opinions or guidelines to use UCM or some other Oracle Software with Primavera.
    Thanks
    Fabio D'Alfonso
I update the post to add some other result. I configured the Content Repository (using JackRabbit) and the Workflow Repository; I saw that there is an option to configure the AutoVue to be accessed by P6 Web.
I didn't find a way to configure the access to JR repository from the PM Client Application. The result is that the WP&Docs Documents are visible from P6 Web in another tab , near the documents in the repository while this repository files are not accessible (Am I right?) from the PM client application.
In my honest opinion, getting access to the repository if still not possible, from the PM client should have an highest priority than enlarging options for P6 Web.
    Thanks

  • Problem with images in content management portlet

    Hi all,
I'm trying to use the content management portlet provided with Bea WLP 8.1 SP4, but I've a problem with the images (they're not displayed at all, only a lot of red "X"s). Some how it seems to be a problem with the Taglib render. It tries to get the resourceRootPath to post it in front of the src path in the image tag and it always includes the parameter that are in the URL.
I followed the instructions in the help of workshop, so I think I've imported every needed files. Moreover, the images are in the right folder tree. The wired thing is, that the My Content Portlet works fine.
    Any help for a newbie???
    Cheers,
    Cord

    Hi Cord,
I was having that same problem, and I couldn't find anything on this website either. I tried creating a new portal project and following the directions exactly again, but it didn't work there either. It works in the sample portal.
So I contacted BEA Support, and they were able to provide me with a solution:
The file url-template-config.xml (in the WEB-INF directory) has to be modified and have the {url:currentPage} parameter removed in order to get the images working for the content management portlet. For now, do this only in the section <!-- URL templates -->. Leave the other places like in WSRP etc as it is.
I actually took it out of the WSRP places too, by accident, but I don't use WSRP anyway, and everything else seems to be working fine. And the images show up!
Hope this works for you too,
    Beth
