Is there a tutorial for the Magic Mouse?

New terms suddenly pop up, and I have no idea of what they mean or are talking about.
Where is the right click or center click? How many clicks are required?

On the Magic Mouse there isn't a center click, just left and right.  The right click must be enabled in System Preferences > Mouse.  It's the "secondary" click option.  Apple referres to right click as secondary click.
Most things just need one click.

  • Is there any way that the magic mouse might work on the iPad?

I just got the iPad 3 and is there any way that the magic mouse can work alone or with the keyboard on it? If not, can the mouse work with a PC?

The magic mouse can't be used with an iPad simply because Apple has chosen not to include support for it.
Which is fair enough. Where are you going to put this mouse in order to use it with an iPad... you need a handy flat surface... oh, I know - the iPad screen. Much easier than moving your fingertip around it.
You would put it the same place you put the wireless keyboard.
In fact the existing keyboard support is one of the big reasons many of us would like to see mouse support added. You see the problem is that when you use a keyboard you have to reach up and over to tap the iPad screen. By Steve Jobs own admission* the arm tires quickly when you have to do this repeatedly. In this particular situation a mouse would be more ergonomically sound.
There is also the issue of access for the disabled. Although iOS does have many accessibility option, at present none of them help those with severe spinal damage or certain amputees. Including mouse support means you could also use devices like the "suck and puff"... A mouth controlled joystick designed for people with these disabilities.
    * He was talking about touchscreens on notebook computers, but it's the same concept.

  • In the Apps "Pages" is there a tutorial for the Business Cards Templet?

In the Apps "Pages" is there a tutorial for the Business Card Templet?

Peter I see you are humble, as my self. I don't see a way to easily fill all the individual cards on the templet. Pages '09 version 4.1 (923)
I first started using Business Card Templets with Microsoft Publisher back in 2000. Initially I filled out a business card and was given a choice to print 8 or 10 cards to a page. Since then I have been out of the loop due to illness, Pages '09 give me the choice to print 8 and 10 cards to a page but I'm missing the initial step.   laughing about it but confused too

  • Magic Charger for the Magic Mouse doesn´t work

    Hi,
I´ve recently did my first purchase on the apple store,
I´ve bought the magic charger from mobee for the Magic Mouse,
which has been working all good with the normal batteries,
but since I´ve install the new magic charger batteries I just can´t make
work the magic mouse, I´ve plug the magic charge into a usb from the iMac 24"
I´ve wait almost a day so tha the Magic Mouse charge the batteries than
when I switch on the Magic Mouse doesn´t work, the green light from Magic Mouse stands off,
so obviously the bluetooth from iMac 24" doesn´t recognize Magic Mouse,
    ¿Any suggestion?
Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Allan Jones,
I don´t know under with authority you´ve answered this thread,
but and don´t get me wrong, your message was completely worthless.
Since I did a purchase on the apple store, the apple store should answer
for every inconvenient with the product than I did purchase, and as Apple
is a big multinational who cares for his customers, they did so Apple store sended
special transport to my home to get the malfunctional Magic Charger and than
they send me a new one which seems would work fine.
Thank you very much in advance.

  • Accessory or Mod for the Magic Mouse to Give it Buttons?

Hi. The Magic Mouse is great when you're surfing, doing photos and things that. The freedom of one click mouse and gestures is great for these things when you don't need performance that much. It's a great mouse, easy to use and very relaxing for those tasks. But for gaming, most especially for shooters, it's not that great because it tends to click things by accident. I'd be nice to not have two mice for cost. Is there an accessory or a mod (link to that mod) that you can snap-on buttons for it (with scroll, there was a company who did that with the Apple puck mouse for the original iMac if I remember)?
    Gbu.

  • What is the best battery for the magic mouse? I replace every month

What is the best batteries to use with the Magic Mouse? I am changing mine every month, I purchased the IMAC in April this year.

Good choice...even if that do not last as long as Apple claims (like any batteris DO ) you have a set charged and ready to go...no trip to the store for batteries at 2:00 AM.  And far be it for me to advocate doing thie, any rechargeable batteries of the same specs will work with the Apple charger...they don't have to be the shiney silver batteries

  • Critical Battery-Life for the Magic Mouse

Hello, i use the magic mouse approx. one week and the the batterystatus is 80 %. Is this normal ?

My wife has been using hers for 3 weeks and it shows 52% left in the batteries that came with it. They are Energizers. She uses her computer a lot. Probably 6 solid hours a day.

  • Is there a tutorial for the iMovies App for the iPhone?

I cannot figure out all of the features and things that are not there that make to have. In other words, it's not all intuitive. Does anyone have some good tutorial for us to use? Also, is this app it? I mean, are there other features or plug-in's or extensions that I can buy to get more transitions, themes, etc.? How do I fade the audio on the music and get more that 1 song track on there? Can I add a specific song to each video clip? Is there a way to put some text in the middle of clip or just at the end without having a completely different clip? Maybe I am asking too much, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the good info. I think I was hoping for a few more features, even though it is pretty nice for a phone app. It would be nice to some additional granularity of control and more options for themes and transitions. Maybe, Apple will consider that as another version/pro version of iMovies/or add-on... hint, hint... wink, wink... nudge, nudge... know what I mean, know what I mean, eh?!?! Yes, that was a reference to Monty Python!

  • Is there a tutorial for the ipad air

I have  a new ipad air, is there a tutorial that shows all the tips and tricks once it is set up?

    Start here:

I honestly wouldn't spend $8 on a video when there are hundreds on YouTube available for free.

  • Are replacement "rails" available for the Magic Mouse

After only a month or two, the rails on the bottom of my Magic Mouse have worn down allowing the battery cover to scrape on my desktop. Is it possible to replace these?

  • Why is the battery charger for the magic mouse and wireless keyboard not included in the package when I bought my iMac?

I was not given a choice or let known that I would receive wireless keyboard and mouse that requires charging. If I had known earlier I would have asked for non-wireless devices or bought the charger on spot.
The charger should've been a given and not be considered as a separate accessory that requires to be bought. This is the same as having bought an iPhone but not given the charger.
I am very disappointed with Apple regarding this matter. I hope it'll be resolved soon.

Oh, okay now I see where you're coming from. Sorry, I didn't know that they provided us with non-rechargeable batteries instead.
Well in that case, they should've provided us with rechargeable batteries instead of the alkaline ones. I mean, the sole purpose of having wireless mouse/keyboard is the purpose of convenience. Having to replace the batteries (that don't last very long from my experience) does not seem convenient to me.
What's more, by providing users with non-rechargeable batteries is not an environmentally friendly choice as this results in an increase in disposal of hazardous waste. I'm bringing this environmental issue up because they have an environmental policy in their company, and on their website they talk about their environmental resposibilities which is quite contradicting as shown in their actions, don't you think?

  • No Scrolling on the Magic Mouse 10.5.8

I have installed my new magic mouse and have 10.5.8. All functions work except for the scroll feature. I ran all software updates but this is not working. The video about the magic mouse leads me to believe that I have to have Snow Leopard. Is this true? When I go to system preferences and click on Mouse, I can only adjust the tracking and clicking speeds, no options for the scroll feature. I'm sure there is an easy solution for this one.......

This thread should help. Note the link at the top for the Magic Mouse software is incorrect you need to go here

  • Can Application Switcher Be Assigned To The Magic Mouse ?

I have been a Might Mouse user now since it was released and it's been a very productive mouse... allowing me lots of options while I navigate my finder and files... and assigned Application Switcher to the track ball nipple was for me a must have feature... and now my whole workflow has now become based on this simple feature. I recently purchased a new MacPro 12 Core with Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. The Magic TrackPad I just can't get my fingers adjusted to... so I have counted that out... but the new Magic Mouse I like... I like the way it feels in the hand... I like the wireless feel about it... but the lack of the track ball is proving a difficult adjustment. I have started using CMD TAB but that's proving less effective as I'm sometimes getting mixed up with key stroke shortcuts for Adobe Acrobat... for Quitting etc...
I need to decide what mouse to use... as switching between both is even more confusing. Is the Magic Mouse the absolute future... so should I just stick with that... and adapt... or go back to me seamless Mighty Mouse workflow.
If I could assign the Application Switcher to the Magic Mouse I would stay with it I think.... it's the lack of support for the key feature is proving to be the deal breaker.
Anyone have any comments, advice, suggestions. All comments would be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Anthony

    Hi-
Can't predict the future, but I understand the dilemma with regards to which is a better mouse.
For app switching, there is a way to do such, but at the cost of a lost function:

  • Can the magic mouse be set to emulate a right click when tapped?

I recently purchased an Apple Magic Mouse.
I also have a MBP with a track pad which I have configured to do a right click when I tap it.
The small problem I have is that the AMM needs to be pressed similar to the way the track pad used to before I configured the tap-to-click.
Can this be done for the magic mouse.
    Thanks for any assistance.
    Barry

    Hello there, bholtzkener.
To set up secondary click on the mouse the following article should provide very helpful:
OS X Mountain Lion: Use an Apple Magic Mouse
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11298
The screen where you make the choice looks like this:
Keep in mind, the mouse should be used with the Apple logo at the base of the hand and should provide the "click" sensation when you tap the other side with finger tips.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • My system preferences not offering multi-touch functions for new magic mouse

I just bought a magic mouse for my Mac OS X 10.5.8 desktop. It is not letting me set up the multi-touch gesture funtions.  When I go into my 'system preferences / keyboard & mouse' it does not offer the set up of the multi-touch functions for the magic mouse.  Do you know how I can set these functions up on my computer???  The instruction manual says it works with Mac OS X 10.5.8???  I want to be able to use the magic mouse to scroll and swipe.
    Thanks for your help!

    I see the requirements are:
Mac computer with Bluetooth wireless technology
OS X v10.5.8 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0* or OS X v10.6.1 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0
Existing keyboard and mouse for setup
    Two AA batteries (included)
Are you using a Mac with a Bluetooth wireless transmitter?
