I have looked through the add ons and their only download for windows, Mac or Linux none of which I can install on Firefox beta running on google nexus 7 and links to download and install the correct add on or one similar to twonky beam would be helpful thanks

There is the Profile Password extension, but it is easily bypassed by using the Firefox SafeMode.

Another thing you can do is to set your Homepage to a website that you have a password logon saved for and use the Master Password feature. It won't completely stop someone else from using the internet but it will slow them down or make it appear they need a password for access.

There are many ways and applications that you can use to build a web site. Which will be best for you will depend on the site you want to build and your level of expertise. Many experienced web developers just use a text editor, often one with specialized features for web programming (BBEdit, for example), but there are programs that can offer additional help, up to and including "drag and drop". Without knowing more about your needs, it's difficult to offer specific advice, but here are some possibilities:
iWeb - came with your Mac. Easy to build but rather limiting in what you can do.
RapidWeaver - more flexible and capable than iWeb but harder to use; sort of an "inbetweener" application
Dreamweaver - powerful but expensive and a steep learning curve
There are of course a number of other options. If you can provide more detail about what you wish to build and your level of experience, someone can probably make more targeted recommendations.

ESET Smart Security says there's a trojan in the plugin for Firefox

I'm trying to install the Flash plug-in for Firefox and after being forced to use the dumb DLM, the DLM downloads the plugin and tries to install it but my ESET Smart Security throws up a message:
A variant of Win32//TrojanDropper.Agent.OVE trojan
has been found and has been cleaned by deleting
So basically I'm not able to install the plug-in for Firefox.
What gives?

I'm using an older iMac G5 (PowerPC) with Firefox and MacOs 10.5.8. I no longer am able to watch video clips because Firefox recently auto-updated to 3.6.24; is there an older version of FireFox that would work with my PowerPC, and where do I find it

I used to be able to watch video clips off a streaming website, but it's been getting more difficult and now it no longer works. I suspect that my older Power PC G5 Mac is not compatible with the newer Firefox version of 3.6.24. I suspect that if I used an older version of Firefox with my system, I could get back to watching video clips. Would this work, and if so, where can I download an earler version of Firefox that would be compatible with my Mac and MacOs 10.5.8?

You might want to consider extending the lifespan of your G5 by using a different operating system. I put [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lubuntu Lubuntu] on a G5 recently and it runs the newest Firefox just fine. Lubuntu (pronounced Loo-boon-two) is sort of an Ubuntu lite - a user-friendly version of Linux. There are many applications to choose from, and it's all free.
The PowerPC I did this on was one of the old Bondi Blue ones. Firefox had no problem running on it at all and has all plug-ins needed for video, audio, etc.. I gave it to a church and it's running fine for them.
You can download old versions of Firefox, but you'll just open yourself up to security problems if you do.
FYI: The Mac operating system is built on Linux.

Is there a Play Store .apk downloading extension for Firefox desktop like there is for Chrome (Which I don't use)

Just looking for an extension or plugin to download .apks from the Play Store to my desktop. I'm talking legally purchased or officially free ones. Chrome has it, but I don't use chrome. I also don't have anything Google on my phone other than, arguably, the OS, which is CyanogenMod. There are apps I'd purchased when I was still running the default OS and I'd like to have them back.

My website tracks donations for 4 separate programs via the item structured in the PayPal button. Each button has its own graphic and, therefore, requires the <form action ... code from PayPal. Needless to say the standard PayPal widget is not useful. In addition, all of the 4 buttons are on the header on the Master pages (Main, Interior 1, and Interior 1). Is there a way to incorporate the code from Paypal into the css pages?

HT3847 Using 'Grand Perspective' to see my files, I have both iTunes media and iTunes music files. It seems I have 'organised' my media, but should or need there still be both types of files? I am running out of HD space and thought, maybe, 'merging' .

I'm trying to free up disk space. When I look at my files using 'Grand Perspective' (Like 'Disk Inventory X'), I see songs in both iTunes music and iTunes media files. I'm wonder if there is some kind of duplication between them. Could I find HD space by doing something with these files? I've already 'organised' them using the iTunes library feature. But I note that it seems that organizing could leave the old (?) files in their 'original place'. That sounds to me like duplication.
I'm not at all a 'techie' so don't know where to go from here.

You are asking several different questions. If you need to store your photos, music, and movies on an external volume, you certainly can. Any externally connected hard disk drive will work, connected either directly to your Mac or to your Time Capsule as a shared volume.
You should not rely upon using that as a backup device though. Although you certainly may use it for both purposes, it is a better idea to have dedicated backup devices for a variety of reasons not limited to redundancy. You would not want to simultaneously lose all your pictures as well as your backup. If they are all on the same device, that could happen. Furthermore, a backup cannot back up the volume on which it is running.
As for adding an Extreme or Express, using its LAN port for your iMac, and then enable Internet sharing so you can effectively use the iMac as a "hotspot", you can do that too, but I am unclear on what benefit you believe this arrangement would convey for you.
An Extreme's Guest network is separate from its Main network; that is the reason for having it.

How come there is no longer a short cut for firefox on my desktop? I switched to firefox 6 yesterday, and that's when I came across this problem.

Also, when I click start firefox used to be there, so I just had to click it, now that is gone as well. There is no longer a folder for mozilla firefox on my desktop either. To get on firefox I had to use another browser to redownload it every time I want to use it.

I get a message that "firefox is running another in the background and should be shut down before another can run OR restart your computer" I get this even when there is not another firefox running in the background. Any suggestions to fis this issue?

No more details other than above . I have uninstalled and re-installed FIREFOX several times and still get this issue. Also, very slow in connecting to websites.

People who have previously installed a beta version of Firefox have been offered the Firefox 5 beta. If you do not want to be offered beta versions of Firefox you can uninstall Firefox 5 beta and then install the release version of Firefox. If you uninstall Firefox 5 beta do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
