Is there a utility to import security for Forms?

I have used the importsecurity.exe utility to successfully import entity, account, and other dimension security. But it doesn't work for Form security. Is there another way or a way to trick the utility and use it for forms?
Version 9.2.1 Windows environment. SQL server is the database

I have over 200 forms for one application with over 700 lines of security.
As a test, I manually added a few rows of security directly into the HSP_access_control table and restarted the planning service and that worked. So it looks like I could load all the data directly via a SQL query to accomplish this. I merely need to match-up my object names and related object security from PROD to the object_id's and group ID's in Dev (which are slightly different due to dev and prod security being out of sync)
Any thoughts on what could go wrong??

How to setup security for Forms, Reports, and Discoverer11g on WLS 10.3.5

I am trying to setup simple security on my WebLogic server (linux OS) using a Windows Active Directory Server. I have an LDAP authentication provider created that links to a central Active Directory server, but I am unclear on where to go next.
I want the user to login to the network from their PC but not have to login again if they decide to run an application like Discoverer, all of the authentication would be handled by the Windows AD server. Has anyone else done this before on WebLogic?
Are there white papers out there that would explain the steps required to accomplish this? Thanks for any help.

Soooo...I need to install OID on top of my Forms, Reports, and Discoverer install? Would it be better to install the SSO and OID before installing any other middle ware products like Forms, Reports, and Discoverer? Then extend the domain to include Forms, Reports, and Discoverer?
Can you point me to documentation that would help me get this issue worked out?

How important is security for wireless systems?

I recently got an airport extreme and an airport express. to make them work with my old g3 (OS 10.1) I had to remove all security/passwords. This was at the advice of the Mac genius. He said people could leech my bandwidth, but not corrupt or read my activity on-line. Is this true? If not, is there another way to ad security for all my computers?

That is not true. If you are not using any wireless encryption then anybody can monitor all of your on-line activity and use your bandwidth.

Your old G3 should be able to connect as long as you are using WEP. But perhaps 10.1 doesn't have this ability. I would strongly recommend that you upgrade the old G3 to OS 10.2 or better. You will be amazed at the functionality, reliability, and stability added by OS 10.2.

No need to get in touch with account security because they will only tell you what I'm about to tell you...
Just log into the appleid.apple.com website > sign in with his/her apple id > go to password and security in the left side > enter the security questions > and from there you can edit the rescue email.

Is there really a Cisco VPN client for Linux? _Really?_

        I've finally after almost experiencing a brain aneurysm by trying to think too hard got my Cisco 881-SEC-K9 router properly configured for a multipoint IPSec VPN tunnel to my Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, so that hurdle is finally passed and I actually feel it was a very important milestone in my life somehow. I never thought I'd see the day I actually got my hands on a legitimate Cisco non-stink... erm.. I mean, non-linksys router. Now I just can't seem to find a 'client' VPN program for Linux. I'm currently running a Xen Hypervisor environment on openSUSE Linux because it's the only Linux distribution that completes all of my strenous requirements in a Linux server environment. It's also the most mature, and secure Linux on this planet, making it the most appreciable Linux distribution for my research needs. Using NetworkManager is not really an option for a basic Linux server environment, and OpenVPN is just too confusing to comprehend for my tiny little head. I've heard mention of some mysterious "Easy VPN" but after hours of digging online can't find any information about it, even the Cisco download link leads to a Page Not Found error. I do see a Linux VPN API for the AnyConnect program, but is that an actual VPN client, or just an API? It seems to want my money to download it but I don't have any money nor do I really know what it is because it's all secretive-like, closed source, and I can't even find a simple README file on it explaining what it is exactly. I'm just an out-of-work software developer trying to connect to my home router for personal use and I can't really afford to fork over a million and a half dollars for a single program that I'm only going to need to download once in my lifetime that should have been included with the router in the first place. I more than likely won't even be able to figure out how to use the program anyways because I don't know anything about VPN connections which is why I bought this router so I can try to figure it all out as part of the not-for-profit open source, volunteer research I'm presently trying to conduct. Is there some kind of evaluation or trial period for personal use? That would be really nice so I could at least figure out if I'm going to be able to figure it out or not. I hate throwing money away when it's in such short supply these days. There's really no alternative to a Cisco router. It's an absolute necessity for the things I'm trying to accomplish, so trying to settle for something else and going on with my life is not really an option. No, this is something I just need to face head on and get it over with.

       Maybe I have a little too much crazy in me for my own good, but I don't see why it should take so much money just to learn how to do something for personal reference, it's not really a skill I would ever use otherwise. Wouldn't it be great if Cisco made their VPN client open source and free to the public to use and modify, to improve on, to learn and to grow and bring the whole world closer together as a community? Even the source code to the old discontinued Cisco VPN client could be used as a valuable learning tool for some poor starving college student or Open Source Software developer somewhere trying to get by on Ramen Noodles and Ramen Noodle Sauce on Toast (don't tell me you never thought about it). Through the ripple effect, It would drastically improve sales over the course of time, because it would open the door to a whole new market where those who previously could not afford to participate now could. That's the true power of Open Source. It creates a more skilled work force for the future by openly contributing and sharing knowledge together. What if the next big internet technology and the solution to world tyranny - the solution to end all wars forever - were locked in the mind of an unemployed software developer who couldn't afford to upgrade their cisco router software or access the software they needed because it was closed source and required committing to an expensive service contract to download? That would be just terrible, wouldn't it? I guess there's no way to ever know for sure. I suppose I'd be just as happy if some kind soul out there could point me to an easy to use alternative to an always on VPN connection that runs in the background which doesn't require NetworkManager or having to spend days upon days digging through and trying to comprehend either some really poor or extremely complex documentation? I apologize for all the run on sentences posed as questions, but I've just got some serious mental burnout from all of this, being unemployed is some hard work folks. I could really use a vacation. Perhaps a camping trip to the coast is in order after I get this working, that sounds nice, doesn't it? Nothing like a good summer thunder storm on the ocean beach - far away from technology - to refresh the mind.

I do tend to talk too much and I don't mince any words either. What I am however, is really appreciative for the help. I know you hear that all the time, but you have no idea how much time and headache you just saved me. I think vpnc might be just what I've been looking for, unless someone can think of a client for Linux that I might be able to throw a little further. I'm very security minded now, after the backlash of Blackhat 2013, there's no telling which direction the internet might head next. Oh, you didn't hear? Well wether they realize it or not, DARPA basically declared war with other government agencies by releasing their own version of a spy program for civilians to use against the whoever -- possibly even the governmnet itself. They even went so far as to suggest it's private usage to blanket entire cities in information gathering. Civilians are a powerful foe, as they are not bound by the oath of office, any evidence they obtain is admissible in court, wether they know that or not. There's a very important reason for that. It's to prevent another civil war from ever happening, we shed enough blood the first time around less people forgot. It's something that can and will be avoided because our civilization has advanced beyond the need for bloodshed. The courts have to obey the majority rule, no matter what. For the first time in history, cyberwarfare can reach into the physical world to cause serious damage to physical structures like the nuclear facility incident in Iran. There's scarry bills trying to sneak through congress that are changing the landscape of technology forever for the entire world. We're at a pivotal point now where things can happen. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out over the next decade or so. No matter which way you look at it, just be preparerd to sell a whole lot of routers.

Import security not working

Hi All,
I have exported the security permisions from one server and need to import it to another. When I am importing its saying file not found , exception coming. I have placed teh file in the corrrect location which is
K:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\Planning\planning1.
What can be the issue here?
One more thing whne i am exporting the security then a file is getting created but its name is null so, I have manually added the name SecFile

Troubleshooting the ImportSecurity Utility for Hyperion Planning (Doc ID 1103373.1)
Cause: users in Shared Services, Planning, and Essbase are not in sync.
Solution
1. In Shared Services confirm that the users and groups are provisioned for the Planning application with suitable non-administrative roles. Administrators cannot be assigned access permissions using ImportSecurity (as they always have access to everything) and attempting to import security for an administrative user will fail.
2. Log into Planning as an administrator. Navigate to Administration > Manage Database, select the "Security Filters" option, and click "Refresh". This populates the planning repository with the new users. Also, if a user logs in, entry goes to repository automatically. PLEASE NOTE: Users/groups have to exist in the planning repository BEFORE you run the utility.
As well as creating the security filters in Essbase, the refresh will synchronise users between Shared Services, Planning, and Essbase. All users will also be automatically assigned the "Server Access" Essbase role in Shared Services (at the user level) if they do not already have it.
3. Optional. In most cases the two steps above should be sufficient to ensure all users and groups are in sync. However, if problems persist you may also need to synchronise users and groups directly between Shared Services and Essbase. Note that the ability to perform a manual refresh in this way is no longer available in more recent versions (Essbase 9.3.1.5+).
1. Log into the EAS Console
2. Expand "Essbase Servers" > your Essbase server
3. Right-click on "Security" and click "Refresh Security from Shared Services"
4. Select "All Users", click OK, and confirm
5. Select "Yes" in the next dialog box when asked "After refreshing security from Shared Services, Essbase server will be disconnected and you will have to reconnect. Do you want to continue?"
6. If the refresh succeeds you should receive the message: "Refreshing security to Shared Services was successful."
After synchronising users, run the ImportSecurity utility again.

UpdateNativeDir Utility and HFM security

When we run the UpdateNativeDir utility to fix security for OU moves, do we also need to update security within HFM and the SECACCESS tables used for each HFM application? and if so, what do we need to do?

No. HFM will synch up with HSS. No need to do anything in HFM once you run the utility.

WebUtil was designed and tested for use with Forms 9.0.x and newer. There is not an equivalent version for Forms 6i. That said, some customers have customized the WebUtil download to work with Forms 6i, but Oracle will not support such a customization.

Yes, boot to your install disk (start up while holding C key). Go to Utilities>Disk Utility. Choose erase and format your disk (make sure it's formatted as Mac OSX extended journaled). There's is a button for security options. Choose the 0 option (don't choose the multiple pass versions, or it will take forever, but that's extra security). The 0 option writes a 0 in every location on the drive, and it takes a few hours. It would take CIA or highly skilled hacker abilities to dig out any information.
Once you wipe the disc, reinstall OSX. You're done.

Probably not for the recent problem because the code error didn't show up until iOS 6. Since the original iPad cannot run iOS any later than 5.1.1 there is no need for an update in this instance.

That appears to be a hard drive based camecorder. Usually these mount on the desktop of your computer as a little white hard drive icon. If you go inside you should be able to find the movie files the camera is saving. See what format they are (the last 3 letters at the end of the file name is a good place to start).
You can drag the movie files from the camera hard drive to the computer to copy them. Then convert them with a video file conversion program to a format iMovie can understand.
Try converting one of the files using a video file conversion program like Video Monkey: http://videomonkey.org/downloads/
In the "Convert to" drop down menu choose "DV" (Preferred), "Quicktime", or "MP4". Then import the resulting file into iMovie and see if that works any better.
If that program can't convert the files you can try another file conversion program:
