I have a group of students that are using a fillable pdf to complete a project and they do not have a version of Acrobat to do the form. Is there a free version of Acrobat that they can use to do this?

I need to use Acrobat Reader for a application rather than another reader and want to know why Acrobat Reader 9 fails to install properly because Error 1406 could not write key...

I had even worse problems with version 8 as the install exe file that I downloaded from Adobe stalls at 1% at the progress bar! Does 8.x which is not Abobe Air based work in XP SP3?
There are no other Adobe Reader versions nor other PDF readers installed on this computer.

I followed the instructions here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=329137&sliceId=2 however that did not fix the problem as the same error message is still showing up. I did notice that it APPEARS that these instructions are reversed. If you look at solution 2 steps 8 & 9 and the screen shots are reversed since when one clicks on ADVANCED button as indicated in step 7 you see the screen shown in step 9 first then you can click on the OWNER tab to show the screenshot shown in step 8!
As well I get the same error message with the 8.x version, the install file was corrupt and that is why it was hanging yesterday.

I was hoping there might be a feature or add-on that will allow me to automatically print an email after I send it. For the purpose of creating a paper trail we have to print out at least the 1st page of all emails sent to our clients. Love using Thunderbird and would like to keep using it. Since the ipad, and all apple mobile devices do not have the file structure like on a computer the sites aren't able to locate your file.
Many job sites and employers allow you to 'copy and paste' your resume into a text box on their site.
If they have an email option, then that would be best.
I'm not aware of an app the will allow you to upload your resume. But this seems to be a poplular queston so there might be something in the app store.

I just visited the adobe site and downloaded their latest acrobat reader, 7.08 and it works fine on my MBP, although the actual installation process is a bit untidy. Mac does leave a bit to the imagination with some of their install methods
However, after installing it, I find it works perfectly with no problems at all.
I just noticed that it is now called the adobe reader - they dropped the acrobat name - probably to avoid confusion with the one that also writes.

One advantage of ghostscript is that it reads many "locked" pdf files and can also edit and write pdf, unlike the adobe reader.

The "right click" is a function of the OS and those keyboard commands do not work on the iPad at all with the built in virtual keyboard. I don't use an external keyboard - so I cannot attest to the possibility of that working - but there are no keyboard shortcuts with the iPad keyboard.

I have seen several questions on this topic, but don't have a clear answer on if I need to buy something or can get an update for my version of MS Office.
I believe I have MS Office 2004 based on the log files I can see in the directory. MS Office will not run so I can't be certain.
I have a Macbook Pro running 10.9 with the 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor.
When I start it now the error I get is "You can't open the applicaiton Microsoft Word because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
So, what does this mean, excatly?

If I have to, instead, BUY a new version of MS Office, will it work on my laptop?

Do you by chance know if I have to buy a new version of MSOffice or if this there is an upgrade path from 2004 to either '08 or '11? I have had the MS Update app on my laptop for a while but I guess since I always had an older version of the OS, I never needed an update to '08.
I tried launching the '11 MS Update app but it would not load since I have an older version of MS Office installed.

I have an older iMac OS 10.3.9 using Firefox 2.0.0.6--is there any upgrade I can get that will allow me to load sites like Zazzle?

Whenever I try to access my site on Zazzle I get error messages that say the page is unstable, and I can't access the tools I need to manage my merchandise. I'm assuming it's because of my old browser. Is there any way I can upgrade, or is my Mac just too old? To make things more complicated, I have never been very computer literate, so I often don't understand web responses.
